Watching this made me feel MUCH more confident about the build! You can really see the teamwork and how having 4 ladders eases everything like you mentioned on the live stream last night. Cheers!
Oh my...a place of my own...I do have a small bungalow where I live in Halifax...and how Fabulous it would be to have somewhere to go, all seasons. I don't have a cabin, or summer place to go to. My Biggest Dream as in HRM would to have a Bunkie on PEI that I could share with my family. We go to to PEI for a long weekend, once a year in tge summer. Just imagine going for a month, and sharing with my family. Wow!! They say, sometimes Dreams do come true. This Bunkie is my Dream Come True...as I have no doubt it is for so many others hoping to win. Wishing everyone the Best of Luck. I wasn't able to get extra points, as it wouldn't work for me, so my chances are not good...excited to hear all about the next 2 Winners. 😊❤ Cheers from Halifax. 😊
Unlike in this video, I'd put it on top of a slightly raised concrete (with gravel underneath) pad at our cottage. It's just too great a looking thing to have it sinking in the wet spring and heaving up in the winter year-after-year.
Exactly 👍🏻 why would anyone put this on a dirt foundation it will sink in to the ground and flood and destroy all your hard work 😢 that just plan stupid seriously 😒 !!!
I would love to win the Bunkie Life Contest. I would make it my personal art studio and start painting again. My mom and painted together since I was five years old. We traveled to painting conventions and took several classes together. We belonged to the Society of Decorative Painters Chapter in Michigan. About 10 years ago, my mom came down with FTD Dementia. She lost her ability to paint during a Painting Mixer Event we attended. I had to gently pull her away from the Artist teaching the class and take her home. It was the most heartbreaking day. I never could paint again after that. I felt guilty that she couldn't I think. We lost mom to this horrible disease 2021. I keep saying that I want to paint again. Winning the bunkie would definitely be an incentive. 😊 I wish everyone good luck. And ty for doing this generous contest.
Just "perusing" some of you older "bunkie" builds ... I watched your live show tonight and I just have to say God bless ya young fellow for allowing the "spirit" to use you and move so many hearts to give . I pray the Good Father opens His storehouse in heaven and pours a bounty on you and your's as you share His blessings upon you with other's and that His hand and His will determines the rightful and perfect recipient of your newest bunkie give away. *•♡ † ♡•*
I have had the thought for a while now that many faith based fellowships who have seniors who want to remain part of the fellowship( church) they grew up and grew old in would love to have a “small community” on or near the church property so they could continue to build and enjoy relationships with the variety of people of all ages with whom they have worshipped and fellowshipped with for generations. Many seniors don’t want to enter an institution and want to retain their independence in a safe environment of like minded Christians. Seems to me that a community of “ bunkies with “ life leases” meaning when the senior needs care the close knit community isn’t qualified to provide they can sell their life lease back to the church body (;this ensures that someone who doesn’t share the “ values of that particular faith community “ couldn’t buy it . Your bunkies would be perfect if winterized to provide a wonderful little community of 10 by 10 homes of their own , retain their connections, have lovely living quarters that they are easily capable of maintaining with perhaps some help from able body younger people in the congregation . Each bunkie could be different with enough area to perhaps plant a small garden and even have a couple of bunkies as social gathering places . What do you think??
No concrete base 😢just put in on a dirt floor so you can have to house sink it to the dirt or mud if the area is prone to flooding 😮 yeah great idea (NOT) !!! 😢😞👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Excited for the drawing and will be listening for the announcement of winners!
That was crazy, I loved it, it took my husband and a friend to put up a metal gazebo 12 hour, with a good group of friends be done in no time
Watching this made me feel MUCH more confident about the build!

Ladders are a huge bonus
Looks like a fun project with friends :)
It really is!

It's an interesting concept. Would like to see someone try this out for their faith community and see if it works.
❤❤❤
No power tools? No hammers, nothing? The pieces just all fit together like a puzzle? If so that looks pretty easy to get set up.
You'll definitely need hammers. Drills help (cordless drills are great)
Love it..... dream job for me all day long! Are you hiring? Lol
How many times was there a guy in the "Dad position" in this video? Lol
cool
❤
