- This is just a quick video of our first successful of the new Overwatch: Uprising event at Legendary difficulty. This is by no means a perfect run or even good play (it's the first time we even got to the last phase, so there's lots of panic). I made plenty of mistakes, but we had fun and somehow made it through. Enjoy!

On expert our payload was at 2% I felt like God was finally on our side
It is very hard, especially with the given heroes. Like, Tracer, Rein, Mercy and Torb is terrible team comp. It is much easier to do with other heroes like Ana and Orisa.

I find it odd that Reinhardt still says "I'm not as young as I used to be" after charging into a wall, when he IS as young as he "used to be".
He's still probably in his 50s at this point, old enough to complain about being old in my book.
This event takes place shortly before Overwatch was disbanded, so only ~5 years earlier than "present" in Overwatch lore.

Mrshappyelmo99 I honestly prefer having res as a basic ability because it's still quicker than holding a button/key on anyone else and Valk means she's nigh unkillable and can pocket heal everyone for 15 secs.

UPRISING BUGS AND STRATEGIES
I've recently completed the Uprising achievements (including the default Legendary with each hero) and thought I'd offer insight into some Bugs and Strategies that can make finishing Legendary mode in the default Uprising a lot easier. There is one bug in particular that prevents all spawns for the escort section, so keep note of how to do that.
TERMINAL 1
Don't get over run, and you should be fine with this.
Interesting bug on this however, is that if you leave the terminal before it reaches 100%, you can achieve an infinite score as the bots continue to spawn indefinitely. Not crucial to completing Legendary mode, but great for achieving high scores.
TERMINAL 2
Don't let anybody touch the point until Torbjorn sets up on the far left side staircase. The way bots spawn in this gamemode is based on where players are positioned. By positioning yourself in their spawn, you can avoid being flanked. This will help managing waves as Rein only needs to focus two fronts.
TERMINAL 3
Again, don't let anybody touch the point. This time, Torb should try to setup on the far right staircase to prevent attacking spawns. Good thing to note here is that Tracer can get very large pulse-bombs off as the choke becomes highly crowded.
PAYLOAD
I'll quickly note that a common issue players have is with the Bastions and keeping the Rein shield up. Before I begin, I'd like to mention that the payload's health is irrelevant, and you should let it tank as much damage as necessary if it ensures your survivability. More on this below.
FIRST WAVE
I didn't mention this before, but the best way to deal with eradicators (big shield bots) is to have Tracer blink behind them and destroy their critbox on their back. Upon dealing 1-2 rounds of damage, this box will explore and leave the eradicator without a shield, allowing players like Torbjorn to focus it. This should be Tracer's first priority throughout this entire mode (exception for Bastion), as eradicators melt Rein's shield.
SECOND WAVE
The only issue you should have here is managing the detonators. Whatever you do, don't throw ults at them, don't focus fire them, don't even do damage to them. Let Tracer and Torbjorn focus on the eradicators and smaller bots, whilst ignoring the detonators. Once the detonator arrives at the payload and begins to "fire-up", have Rein charge them away. This way, they will explode away from the payload, allowing you to focus your dps on the horde of bots.
THIRD WAVE
One word. Bastion. Provided you've been dealing with eradicators, detonators and all little minions well, Bastions are fairly easy to take down if you've saved ults and can focus fire as a team. The best solution to taking down a Bastion is to remove it from turret form by charging them towards the payload. By doing this, the Bastion will have to walk back to its designated turret spot, allowing to you to more damage as a team whilst it's in recon mode. Once it's back in turret form, earthshatter, and either pulse bomb or molten core should help you clean up what's left of its healthpool.
FOURTH WAVE
This is where things get interesting.
Rinse and repeat per usual with focusing the Bastions, charging the detonators, and maintaining crowd control.
HOWEVER, at 25 seconds remaining on the clock, Tracer should leave the payload, leave the entire area, and walk to the doors where you finally escort the payload to, right before encountering OR14's. By doing this before you begin to escort the payload, you will trick the game into thinking you've already escorted the payload, and it will therefore not spawn any null sector troops.
Quick note: it's very common to become incapacitated in the last minute, so if you feel you're struggling at all, fallback into the building behind the payload, and let the payload soak up damage. At the end of the four minute timer, the payload explodes, destroying any enemies. The health of the payload becomes irrelevant as the whole escorting phase it nullified if Tracer stands on the pad at the end of the escort route.
ESCORT PHASE
Torb, Rein, and Mercy can sit back and relax. Have a chat, heal up, let your ultimates fuel themselves. No bots should spawn at all as long as Tracer remains at the end of the path. It's really easy, you don't have to do a thing. Just enjoy the free ride.
Oh, and if Tracer leaves the pad before the payload reaches it, all spawns will occur at once. I thought I'd mention that just in case you didn't want a tonne of tanking Bastions on your hand, and a wasted 15 minutes.
FINAL PHASE
Focus the OR14 first. Just stay behind the Rein shield, damage boost Torb or Tracer, and you should take it out relatively quickly if you focus headshots. Unlike Your Overwatch, as you should be playing this on default legendary, you will get a tanking Bastion before you can focus the sentry bastion. Earthshatter and Pulse-bomb it, and as long as you can isolate it, you should be okay.
Next up is the sentry Bastion on the right. Pin it as Rein, and focus it. Don't use any ults unless you have a spare pulse bomb, but it should be pretty easy to take out.
Focus down the small-fry bots and eradicators, and then head onto the OR14.
Provided Tracer focuses the bots and OR14, Rein keeps his shield alive, and Mercy damage amps Torb, this next section should be pretty easy too. Torb should try to snipe the sentry Bastions from a distance, and Tracer can solo the OR14. Easy.
The hardest part becomes the tanking Bastion again (they are on a respawn timer), in which case, regroup as a team, fallback to a corner or choke, and focus it down. Use ults as these guys are tricky.
Return to sniping the sentry Bastions, and then you can have a slaughter fest on the final two OR14's. I personally found that as Tracer, you could avoid all damage whatsoever if you hid behind the OR14's in the little tunnel directly behind them, as you can peak, unload a full clip, and hide again without taking damage.
Make sure you focus each OR14 down one at a time, and you should be completely fine.
The final phase is best completed whilst sniping the sentry Bastions from a distance, and this whole phase is heavily reliant on exploiting positions where Torb can deal damage, without taking much in return. The tanking Bastions are difficult, but once all Bastions are removed, focusing the OR14's becomes much much easier.
CONCLUSIONS
All of this being said, it's still a difficult task, specifically the final phase. But provided you make use of exploits in map design, respawn timers, ult management and a good old bug in the game code, you should complete the Kings Row Uprising with the default heroes, on Legendary mode.

Hi! I've been playing Mercy a lot on this mode, and just wanted to share that once you get to the second "hacking" point if you hide directly behind the wall in front of the stairs that normally lead to a health pack on King's Row, you'll almost never get shot at. The same appears to be true for the payload part where you are waiting for it to get started up, if you hide behind the phone booth, the bots seem to never take shots at you. Hope this helps, just what i noticed :)

You just need minimal teamwork on hard. And don't waste the rez on a death that could be solo revived.
I can at least do that. I did fail the first time though T_T. The last part is utter hell. I will never attempt expert.
Meruanne try to have a competent rhindhart it's easy if you have one that uses the shield a lot it's easy
p.s if you do play rhind always use the shield in front of bastion while you wait for your team to kill it

Don't forget that those fuckers also self-heal. You pretty much can't take them out on your own, you need to focus them as a team before the Orisas. Screw what Reyes said before that part.

I played a bit of mercy before I owned the game (on my older brothers PS4), but when I got OW on the Xbone, I never really played her. Then I saw your video/videos, and I was like, "damn. I need to play more mercy." She's one of my most played characters right now. Granted I'm only level 150, I've played a decent amount of mercy, and I get a lot of inspiration from your videos. Thank you ^-^
joey chandlee Same! She's really hard to play if you don't have proper team coordination though. Teammates tend to forget about you a lot and then you die and you're whole team slowly does too. I still love Mercy, she's my most played and main, but I think she deserves a buff soon

Andya Dewakinnara From my experience, using Mercy's gun along with your team results in more overall dps. But I could be wrong.
Mercynary Most people who main Mercy use her pistol instead of damage boost whenever the opportunity presents itself to kill someone your teammate is too preoccupied to deal with. Most people underestimate how much it does, which means every Mercy main has killed a Genji who was ulting and had full health at least once.
Max Anthony I know. I used my pistol so much that I was global rank 4. on PC in damage done for like few weeks when this season started. I also had rank 5. on elims and k/d ^^
Rein can charge the detonators just before they blow up, so you don't need to focus them down.

I could still buy lootboxes, or wait for next year. I hope Blizzard didn't remove this mode, just like they still let CTF mode remain in Arcade. This event isn't festival- themed but story related.

There is actual very easy trick to beat this crap. I did not played for couple of months because of the job. I started again and was ranked 2500 in comp. I got rusty.
I joined with few friends that are like 2200 (also casual players) and we did it on third try on LEGENDARY.
How? This fucking mode is broken. Because those dam robots turn VERY VERY SLOW. And they spam facing one direction (payload or hacking station). And they attack from 2 directions only most of the time.
So trick was to place torb on right side (easier) with turret on the back. Turret is PERFECTLY SAFE. They get killed before they turn and kill turret. So you stay as torb in front with turret on the back You use molten core only when bastion or bomb appear. And torb can 2-shot every standard robot.
3 people can handle other side with no problem.

+Control Corns abusing the AI is the only way to win without being near godly at the game. For example they tend to target one enemy instead of switching away from a turret or rein sheild, so you can tank almost all of the damage as rein if you shield properly.

Sean Aochi I just bested it today after three tries! Damm we had 3 seconds left but made it finally. It is doable but it takes a lot of strategy. Our Torb had a specific place for armor packs and we played very safe.

This game mode is so hard... normal is almost too easy, I barely beat it on hard (we kinda got lucky) and now expert is like... IF we even get to the orisa part we get wrecked by the 27568 bastions that are set up and ulting everywhere. I swear this is near-impossible (seriously, 4 people at your skill level beat it with 2 seconds left? Holy crap.)
But that's also why I loVE IT SO MUCH IF IT WAS EASY I WOULDNT FEEL ACCOMPLISHED now excuse me I must train
Those rezzes were clutch af by the way, damn.
I was able to beat expert on my 5th try. The trick is that you have to go slow. When you come to the orisa part , kill the first orisa and go right side and kill the turret bastion. Then the tracer goes a bit more infront and recalls. The ultimate bastion will appear trough that tunnel on the right side. You have to kill him. Then go for the orisa and when you done , go left tunnel and eliminate both turret bastions. Another ultimate bastion should have appeared again , take him out , he has highest priority. Then you only have the 2 orisas left and they are easy peasy.
But the most important advise: Take your time! Dont rush! Remember where the bots come from
To be fair, it's three people at her skill level and a plat/diamond-high scrub, which is me. It's very very hard, but it's possible to do as you can tell :3

THERE IS A BUG: when you finished protecting the payload u need to run to the doors where the payload explodes if u stand there (don't move until payload is there) there won't be any enemy spawns.
This is what happens when you use the training bots too much.
