I like that rubber band fish! LOL Do they ever have the Purple Paradise fish? I can remember when I worked at wholesaler they came in nice, but have not seen since
Thank you for doing this on Angels! I’m starting up a 29 and want an angel or two. I have cardinals in another tank and was trying to decide if they would be safe with such a large tank mate. Is there a type of angel that is generally known to maybe not be as aggressive or large compared to others? I don’t think Cory has a specific video just for angels and would really appreciate one from him!
Double your tank size. I have a single angel in a 150L, sorry I only use real units. Avoid Pterophyllum altum, even thought you probably won't see them, they're a bigger Angel.
I'm surprised that we're not supposed to keep gouramis with angelfish! I have 5 gouramis with 4 large angles in my 125 gallon and no problems at all. I want to add more but now I'm reluctant...….
I think its really dependent on the species of gourami. Opaline gouramis, for example, are horribly aggressive. Pearl's tend to be nicer in my experience.
I'm surprised to learn these things. I've had angels in a community tank for years. I have a full grown female that is several years old. Lives at peace with neon tetra's, guppies and Ghost shrimp. She is always curious of new tank mates but has never displayed any predatory behavior. I have recently added a juvenile and they seem to have bonded well and it also has displayed no predatory behavior. I never thought Angels would be aggressive. I have never personally seen it.
Purpl3 Fish I’ve never seen it with individual angels, but I have with mated pairs, whether they were with other angels or with other types of fish. I didn’t know they had it in them!
I see this comment is a year old. How r u doing with your angel fish now? I just recently got 2 silver Angels. I have them in a 55 gallon Tall tank. Along with 4 Neon Tetras 6 white skirt Tetras and 2 common Plecos
I like the twist to the unboxing! And hey Robert....I think that any time you want to throw us extra tank mate info on bettas, please do! Looking forward to the shrimp episode.
Good info. I always enjoy hearing what the experts recommend. I currently have two angels in with two oscars, a green texas and a brazilian pike (plus a jaguar cat and a mango plec), with luck I'll be adding a salvini, a couple convicts, a jack dempsey and a jaguar cichlid tomorrow afternoon (hopefully a striped and spotted raphael cat too if they're still alive). We'll see how that goes. If there's too much agression, I'll pull the naughty boy(s) and put them back in the grow out tank until I get my 150 set up.
I have 2 angelfish and 3 gouramis and the angelfish don't get attacked nor do they attack the gouramis the only thing attacks my gouramis is themselves 😂 😂 the 3 go after each other that's about it and I think it's because I don't have enough plants yet
I had a beautiful 90gal tank with happy peaceful community fish, knew nothing about angles, a pet store guy sold me a breeding pair, told me they would be fine with the existing fish, over night the hate machines killed everything but the Corydoras.
Try Black Convict breeding in a 30 Gallon. When one talks about Breeding Cichlids, whether Americas, (Convicts or Angelfish), or the African Cichlids, FORGET ABOUT THE IDEA OF A COMMUNITY TANK! ...at least with the Black Convicts they are easier to sex~!
This is odd. I've kept neons with Angel's for years and have never once had an issue. Aside from feeding well I've always had the neons before introducing Angel's and I have always introduced the angels when they are tiny.
I remember when I was a young child I got a angelfish from Walmart 🤦🏽♂️ and it died the next day. I haven’t tried to keep an Angelfish ever again but being a child and getting it from Walmart I don’t think I gave them a fair chance. I don’t remember the condition of the angelfish when I got it but I’m sure that it was pretty darn unhealthy considering it coming from Walmart
Im PRETTY SURE.. That it was CORY that said the gourami WOULD work in a community tank.... And now you are saying dont do it??? Lol which is it? I've kept them in tanks with other fish every time ive had them and the do pretty good.
When I was growing DD Angels would have considered the one in the come on to have deformed fins. If you introduce all fish together when small there will be fewer compatibility issues. Angels will be more peaceful in groups where they can squabble amongst themselves. Love the unboxings and your interactions.
Hi Cory! Got a quick question. I have a group of goldfish that I’ve had for 7+ years now. In this past year one of them has slowly turned white. All the others are very vibrant and they whole group is eating good/acting normal. Any idea why just one goldfish is turning white? Thanks!!
Black neon tetras. Can they do very warm tanks? I have 50gal w/6 angels & other peaceful fish. Bought 10 black tetras now have 4. Water to warm or not eating enough. They’ll sit in middle of tank & wait for food to drip down, will not go up to get it. Before I buy more Black tetras , change water temp or feeding?
I have 4 engel fish with 5 guppies, 2 corydoras, 1 zebra pleco, 1 synodonte (don't know how to write it) and 2 zebras. They've never fought. The only situation I've had in my tank were the platies bullying the corydoras. They were kicked out .
First fish, Betta does this go with an angle fish no...looks at new 55 gal topical tank. with 1 angle and a betta in it.... well crap.... and my other tank is currently a hospital tank... whelp... its been bout a week since we got the angle and the betta is kinda lazy and couldnt care less about the guppies we have... so heres to hoping
Good info! I usually just stick wish Goldfish and Guppies and a few scavengers when I have my 20 gallon show tank going, which I just pulled out of the mothballs after about 5 years! Easy to take care of, and a wonderful mix of colors!
Years ago I had a smallish Angelfish, it's body (not including the fins) was only the size of a half-dollar. In the afternoon, I put ten Cardinal Tetras in the aquarium, the next morning, all of the Cardinals were gone, except for two tails hanging out of the Angelfish's mouth.
Couldn’t find any good fish like actual fish that swim around other than the cardinal from this video, but I got neons In another tank and they are basically the same fish so it would be boring to get pretty much the same fish again. I want to change things up a little
I love the added drama of "do these go with..." in the unboxings. Suggestion for a future "do these go with" video - a non cory catfish. Pictus or Centromochlus or Dianema or Hara jerdoni or ? As usual, a fantastic video. Wait... who is going to be the cameraman when Jimmy is gone?
After my Paradise fish didn't play well with my Gourmais and Betta I've had to move it in with my Angels and it was a little bad at first, the Paradice fish did a bit of chasing but its all seemed to calm down now and they get on well. I think for me it came down to the Paradice fish was threatened by the Angels and their size, they no he is boss now and I don't think he sees them as a threat anymore.
I have question can you have a rainbow shark, dwarf Gourami, swordtail, and two turtles in the same tank because I’m thinking of adding fish to my tank
I have a male kribensis with my angelfish thou i wouldn't put a pair in there agressive when they breed mine killed a full grown bristlenose while they where breeding
Hey Cory, I have a quick question. I'm starting up a 55 gallon tank and I was wondering should I use an air stone in combination with a circulation pump or can I do without it. I am also using a Marineland 50-70 gallon power filter, will the combination of a pump and filter be enough for a planted tank?
I have a large blue and a large golden gourami with a large angelfish in my 90 and they control the tank together without any real issues. I guess your mileage may vary

Aquarium Co-Op dudes mentioning thrash metal. Thats so badass.
Love seeing dorcula in the shop!💪🏽
Love 'what does it go with' unboxing. Do you get shellies? If you do can you do a what goes with shelly unboxing?
I just got some angelfish today! Their name's are Gill and Angel
I like that rubber band fish! LOL Do they ever have the Purple Paradise fish? I can remember when I worked at wholesaler they came in nice, but have not seen since
I don't think I've ever seen purple myself.

Can anyone let me know what that food is that is stuck to the side of the tank please? Thanks 😊
the best fish to go with an Angel Fish are Cory's and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is not a true story.

Great video cuz I have angels. Thank you gentlemen.👍🏼
Jimmy you are the only one I know that can make slicing open a box artistic. lol
You guys could be unboxing soiled adult diapers and I'd still find enjoyment outta these. Keep up the great work guys.
Roscle Hilltopple oh look at this one it can fit my grandma

Robert/Corey unboxing so much better!!!! Please do more Corey. Less jimmy.
Having a compatibility conversation surrounding a species many of us keep... excellent, educational way to do an unboxing. Well done, co-op crew. 👍🏻

the fork tail rainbows look great :) but my local fish store never had these :(
These videos are really informative, should definitely be make an extensive series.
I literally bought two angelfish yesterday!
Perfect timing cory.
I have blue gourami with anglefish no problems
Keep up the great work amazing content and fish
Hi
This is odd. I've kept neons with Angel's for years and have never once had an issue. Aside from feeding well I've always had the neons before introducing Angel's and I have always introduced the angels when they are tiny.
I enjoy all the unboxings, but I find the "what goes with..." very helpful. Keep them coming.
I have never had a problem with Bettas and Angel Fish
Jordon looks like a young Casey Neistat with those sunglasses, when is Jordan going due a unboxing with sunglasses on ?
Don't do pelvicachromis with angels. Pelvis are nippy roommates
This is awesome I just bought some angelfish yesterday, perfect timing

What did ALF name his catfish? Lunch.
Funny but I have always had gouramis (blue and pearl) with my angels with no issues. They totally ignore each other
I am setting up an angelfish tank soon. and I was REALLY hoping to put a pearl gourami in also. Now I am worried?
I have never had a problem with angels and paradise fish the paradise fish stays near the top and the angels stay middle to bottom in my 60 gallon
Second 😊
Currently have some steel blue apistos with my angels in a 55 and they do really well with all the hardscape i have.
Im PRETTY SURE.. That it was CORY that said the gourami WOULD work in a community tank.... And now you are saying dont do it??? Lol which is it? I've kept them in tanks with other fish every time ive had them and the do pretty good.
I've done gouramis in a community tank no problems
Can you do will it go with guppies/goldfish? Thanks:)
I'm amazed how ignorant people are when it comes to opening a box..
Dont keep angels with goldfish or sharks
They r aggressive with these fishes
I’ve had 5 kribs they all died, and I love those fish. Idk what I’m doing wrong
:o were those my sunspots?? oh noes... I really do like the compatibility aspect to these videos, makes them really educational :)

Love the unboxing with Jimmy and Robert. Useful for setting up my angels tank next month.
Just in time.. was going to make 150 gallons Angel fish tank. Thank you :)

Goldfish naturally over time usually turn orange or white
You two are great together and have such a good vibe going! So fun to watch, great video
Can u keep mollies with angelfish?
Great vid man, those Apisto's are stunning.
Wait, did he say neon tetras shouldn’t go with angels as they’re a natural prey fish, and then recommend pairing them with an angel?
Caleb Cologna I think he said they were a bad idea, but Cardinal Tetras would work because they grow larger than Neons.
I'm addicted to these unboxing videos. 😍
Great video, just one thing, I probably wouldn't keep rainbow shark with angelfish, rainbow sharks are fin nippers and extremely aggressive
Black neon tetras. Can they do very warm tanks? I have 50gal w/6 angels & other peaceful fish.

My discus are super competitive. They're only 3 inches and my 8 inch angel gets overwhelmed sometimes by their ferocity for brine shrimp.
Couldn’t find any good fish like actual fish that swim around other than the cardinal from this video, but I got neons In another tank and they are basically the same fish so it would be boring to get pretty much the same fish again. I want to change things up a little
Can one Betta, 8 neon tetras, and 5 panda corries fit in a 10 gallon? Also if not, what should I replace the corries with to clean the tank
Replace them with your hand a sponge.
I have a betta and 8 neons with a snail. The tank is decently planted but I keep hearing that corys really need more ground space to be happy.
I love the added drama of "do these go with..." in the unboxings.
Suggestion for a future "do these go with" video - a non cory catfish. Pictus or Centromochlus or Dianema or Hara jerdoni or ?

I luv the unboxing videos. I luv seeing all the beautiful fish species. Thank u for doing this live.
Some folks may not be aware of the fact that Angel fish are in fact cichlids, so they can be a little cantankerous.
Would it be a bad idea to put an angelfish with cichlids like Firemouths/rainbows?
I have a large blue and a large golden gourami with a large angelfish in my 90 and they control the tank together without any real issues. I guess your mileage may vary
What is the "Pel Bova" bag. You never put the name up on the screen and it looked amazing!
Ohh know, so jumbo neon tetras should not live with koi angel fish? Thanks
Have 6 angels so far. I love them I can't wait to get my 125 started to get more.
great to see this bcos I'll be doing this real soon, after selling my big Oscars fish's
how would other livebearers like mollies, swordtails, and platies go with angels?
Are Leopold angels aggressive towards other species or just other angels?
