Thank you, yeah my right arm is getting very slowly a bit better, but this is it I think. I went from 2lbs to 15lbs curls, people say : "that's great", yeah, in over 12 years I did that, so not SO great haha
Question on the timing. You say to do about 30 reps in 4 min. If you count a 2 second swallow and 2 second exhale, that’s a 4 second inhale. That would mean to get down to a 3 minute goal before you change to a smaller cap that would be a 2 second inhale. This seems extremely quick to breathe in deeply. What am I missing Bas? Thanks just got my device today!
Sorry, just saw this, start with this : ruclips.net/video/FTH_VW1CPfQ/видео.htmlsi=ZLomImX5VY5B8NVk once you get it down, then start adding movement. Swallowing takes less than a second, and your inhale should be a longer than 2 sec. Just start doing this and you will feel what I mean, don't overthink it, just do it and please let us know. It's about 6 - 8 seconds or so per rep. You get better and better at it!
Bas, have you had experience with people who have their lungs attached to the ripcage after surgery? (pleurodesis) had a pneumothorax in 2015, left lung is attached I think along the 3rd-9th rip. Just wondered if you heard positive results in such circumstances as Ive never been the same really since then!
Sorry my friend, saw this just now. No I have not, I am sorry, but I assume the doctor does this because their body doesn't create a vacuum anymore that sucks open the lungs. Because when tpeople don't understand a vacuum, I literally tell them, "Imagine your lungs being glued to the inside of your chest, then when you expand your chest, that is how you open your lungs, and that's exactly how a vacuum works". So for you, (and everybody else) the more chest expansion you have, the more you open your lungs, and this device works out your diaphragm and ext intercostals (muscles in between your ribs) which are the muscles responsible for opening your chest. Please send an email to LivershotJack@proton.me and let him know, I want to ask you something
Thanks for this exercise! I have just begun with the o2 trainer, can i start with this exercise or should i continue with the upright sitting position? Kind regards from Germany
Different for everybody. You need to find a cap with which it takes you between 3 and 4.5 m to complete your 30 reps. For most people that's 4, 5 or 6. Once you hav that cap, its going to be easier. I would time yourself once a week and you will notice you are going to do it faster, once you go below 3 min, go to a stronger resistance cap. This laying down is great to start with, otherwise look at this video as well for the basics: ruclips.net/video/FTH_VW1CPfQ/видео.htmlsi=ZLomImX5VY5B8NVk
I like this even better because you can focus 100% on diaphragm mechanics and control while also fully eliminating saliva discharge into the breathing unit 😂
Bsa those arms are growing again! I am happy for you.

I have a hunch this will help with my sleep apnea, worth a shot! Thanks Bas OSS!
I'm gonna do this. Thanks Bas.
I will try this out today. Thank you!
Will do this tonight 👍
Subsequently, can we also do the exercises laying on our stomach, to replicate the other exercise that focuses on the back muscles?
Thats a valid question
My partner been using it for 4 weeks. And has noticed a big difference
Thank you Legend.

Yes you can start with this exercise laying down
@@O2TRAINER thank you
Is it necessary to have your knees bent or can you do it with legs straight?
With your legs up you get more air in and have more space to breathe , you can lay your legs down if you like this better , no problem .
@@O2TRAINER for sure, thanks!
As an asthmatic, what cap size should I start with?
