I have been testing Redex for 45 years on Petrol & Diesel cars, Vans, trucks. 4 STROKE lawnmower type engines etc. I use it one bottle to two vehicle tank fills. And quarter bottle to 5 litres fuel bottle..for garden machinery. Once the engine has been using the Redex for sometime, there is always some still mixed in fuel tank when you fill up again.
I noticed a huge difference with the injector cleaner on my 2003 laguna gt turbo. I told the guy that I bought it from that I had expected that much performance from a boggo 2ltr. An oil change and filter and redex had it soon up to full power again. The difference was remarkable.
My VW Passat diesel which I use as a taxi has over 180'000 miles on the clock. It was starting to become sluggish and not as smooth as it usually is so I tried redex. Half bottle with every ful tank and I've noticed the improvement within a few days. Mpg has increased slightly and engine quite and pulls faster and smoother. I now will be using it regularly with every full tank
My 2002 Yaris (Auto) does 47 - 48 mpg and i've always used Redex 3x a year (Every 4 months). It does a good job.Using it each time you fill your car with fuel is just a waste of money.
I use redex if I’ve been skint for a few weeks and running into the fuel light often...petrol engines do a good job of cleaning them selves but redex should clear all the shit and gunk out that might build up from running on fumes
I dont feel like its something id do 24/7 but as just buying a second hand car with a lot of miles im just gonna run a couple of tanks of v power and two doses of this stuff and be done with it for a year or so.
Chris yeah spot on Chris. I just got a old petrol focus. Couple of good tanks of fuel and one redex bottle has helped. But don’t want to use it regularly as you said
The best way is to Drive the car up hills at high revs, and on long runs on the M' way for 2 or 3 hours. and use premium fuel. get the engine warm on long runs. Tickover, or city driving is bad for any car. ( If you are skint and running a " Banger " , don't bother too much. ) Use a variation of high quality similar products on odd occasions ? . Change the Oil & air & Fuel Filters. often.

Redex doesn’t improve mpg but it does an unbelievable job at cleaning engines injectors, fuel lines, valves and if there are any build ups of oil it will get rid of those I’m restoring an old quad bike and it has been sitting for a long time so running redex through it before an oil change worked wonders I highly recommend trust me you won’t regret it
DONT BUY REDEX BUY and use 'BG-K 44' it massively restores your cars engine performance and emissions and allows your car to improve your mpg by 3-5!!!. You pour a whole 330ml can in just HALF a tank and run the engine in neutral for 30 minutes... Then slowly drive around until the tank runs empty... That clears everything. Your car will run smoothly as oil without any lag in acceleration of misfires. You can buy the can from the internet... I get mine from formula 1 autocentres in the uk it's £22!!! included vat for the 330ml can!! But it sure beats REDEX as you pour a whole lot more substance in, plus the whole can goes in 330ml in half a tank with no damage at all!!! And the substance really irritates and stings your hand if it accidently gets on... But it's not a corrosive..it definitely works far better than REDEX..

Hey, you still got this car?
Of course 👍
@@Carwitter haha nice, I’ve just been watching your old vids. You not wana sell it?
@@mattnelson6355 I'm not planning to, but £5k would sway it 🤷♂️😂
I believe it works, but you can't say it's increased your mpg if you didn't test it before mate

“Cleans” where does all the crap go?
Into the injector’s and fuel filters
It combusts

Is there a big difference between the different redex ‘tiers’? Just seems like different packaging to me
Still got this?? For sale yea;);)
Still go it. And nope, not for sale haha.
@@Carwitter what you doing with it just storing it
@@Danimaz3211996 For most of the year, it gets used around 4/5 months over summer.
my vr6 now ticks over on 6 cyls not 4 ,,, thanks to redex.
Could have started the video and just said yes it does, and it increases your mpg by 1-2. Done.
No attention span these days, pfft.
Title says: Does Redex really work?
Video says: Life story, future plans, servicing, museum visits, and 'it increases your mpg by 1-2' 20 times.
Tough crowd...

So redex showered you in freebies and gifts to make a review? You aren't going to say it is trash are you? I am keeping an open mind still.

It actually does help. Sometimes it only just makes the engine run smoother but sometimes it does fix mpg.
does it need fresh fuel in? I have a full tank now that i put in yesterday can i add the redex to it or wait until i refil my tank
Of course you can add
Give it a good long Fast run. as often as poss.
30+ mpg on a 106 gti? That's very very good
I use to use it in my model T ford in 1922
Super unleaded has zero extra benefit to your cars performance UNLESS your car has been tuned for it.
*or if your ecu will adjust to it…. My 91/95 Ron car does run better on 99 because the ecu will adapt.
