Respect from Ukraine, y'all. I like to observe and compare how the new wave of jazz is developing in different parts of the world, thanks for sharing🙌❤🔥
Music arising from the African Diaspora is unmatched in its beauty and cultural significance. Grateful for the decedents of those who endured such hardship for transforming our world with their artistry and brilliance.
Wow! You guys are amazing! New Jazz Underground, Harlem to Havana all powerful names and performances. As a 76 year old Cuban woman who is an absolute music lover, you are a new generation of musicians who are really doing an impressive job. You guys have a fan in me. Thanks for putting your talent out there!
These guys finally got me into Jazz! Was already casually listening to the classic greats but now I'm adding Alfa Mist and Christian Scott to my rotations. Jazz got so good when I wasn't looking.
La escuela de la pianística cubana es todo un hecho amén de toda las demás influencias destaca .Axel es uno de los grandes pianistas cubanos de las últimas décadas del pasado siglo
Looking forward to hearing you all at this year's DC Jazz Fest. Was blown away by last year's grand prix. It's wonderful that this kind of creative jazz lives in your generation. Take kudos from one who's heard all the greats in person in the 60's and 70's. Thanks for your music.
So good! Young guns giving us old heads proof that real music will survive for a long time to come. So impressed with all of you! Sebastian Rios is outstanding on double bass; I of course am slightly biased as a bassist myself!
Been playing The Best Thing for my 2 year old because he’s interested in different instruments. You guys are the best place on RUclips for upright bass examples. He’s asked me to play this song so many times now. You guys are killing it.
I'm a photographer, and I love to shoot my photos using quality lenses that are 40 or even more than 50 years old. Modern gear isn't always better. Mixing modern and vintage is so much fun. Try it and get addicted ...
Music, by its truest nature, is multicultural, and this is a beautiful expression of that. As a jazz artist and composer myself, I just enjoy great players. This work and the performances give me hope for the future of artistry in music and culture. You've found the root. Kudos.
Gorgeous! Gina d'Soto's voice is fantastic, I also agree with the person saying that keyboard is a pain, but just from previous work on an audio programming /engineering project I wish we could make keyboards in general better. I'm a pianist, and Axel Tosca was amazing on it but apart from how easy misfires on them are there's so much I'd wish they'd change for piano sounds at least. I also got into jazz with you but also just enjoying music again in general. So thank you!
Sweet! The first piece sounded more like a mix of classical music with jazz, but I'm not complaining. 😄 Listening to the second one (where Gina came in to sing). Good stuff. 👍🏻
I just ran across you guys. Y'all sound good! I was just explaining to some brothers here in the mother land. That Africans were dispensed all over the westen Hemisphere because of slavery. And it's according to were the boat landed that determined what language we spoke. Some us speak Spanish some of us speak Portuguese, some us speak English but we are still Africans. And that's why you cats dig Afro- Cuban music, Reggae music, Jazz music, hip hop, funk,, and soul music. It's all African music can you dig it.....😂😅
Wow I didn't expect to find Axel Tosca on keys what a wonderful surprise how are you my friend. As always you are always on point. So is the rest of the band, including our young vocalist. Hopefully, I will get to see you and the band live.
Wow!!! That was so good guys. I had just finished practicing on my keyboard and saw a new "New Jazz Underground" video I hadn't seen yet. Axel I was totally blown away by your playing. Gina's vocals were amazing. Abdias solos were spot on, Seb and TJ had the rhythm section on lock down as always. Bravo guys!!!
Beautiful pieces, thanks much. I also like the drumming style, it breathes a 'less is more' vibe which we need so much today, as opposed to 'circus ' performances with jumping acrobats (cymbals) every few seconds. 🙃
Wonderful! As an ageing Jazz and Latin and Fusion enthusiast I absolutely love it when such young talents are transferring vibes from mid 20th century to our times. And what's even more special: not by cover versions of the old standards, but by their own original compositions. My favourite here: 'Cómo Remolino'. Well done! I'll stay tuned ...
Thought I heard some Lecuona in the intro but its been years since Ive listened to him so I looked it up and it WAS! Oh what a blast from the past! Awesome Job guys!

So beautiful to see young people taking up the torch for jazz. Too bad the masses don’t enjoy this wonderful music.

A guilty pleasure. Hope folks get into Jazz more.
These guys finally got me into Jazz! Was already casually listening to the classic greats but now I'm adding Alfa Mist and Christian Scott to my rotations. Jazz got so good when I wasn't looking.
Ohhh Noooo!! Guilty of committing acts of musical appreciation? Will we be punished?? Forgive me, for I have sinned and I can’t resist the tunes. 🤓🎶🎶🎶
Why guilty? No reason for that..
❤
This is the freshest most fulfilling music I’ve heard in a while. I’m in a trance!

Yes. Teach your child to love real music. That's true love
Listening to Gina’s beautiful voice harkens me back to the likes of Flora Purim and Wendy Haas. Yet she has a style all her own. ❤

The way the horn flirting with their voice in the song at the 13:00 time stamp is a whole language...
