What I interpreted from her is when someone tries to remain friends with both parties, they switch what side they are on. So in this case, the friend told A breaking up with the bf was the best decision. This same friend then told the boyfriend they are better off without A. To no get caught by the ex, they’d hide they still are friends with A (by not posting her on stories). I hope this helps, she didn’t do the best job explaining it 😅
