Oh yeah! Here's yet, another one of my old time favorites! I was 15, maybe 16 years old when this masterpiece of a song came out. Back then, the performers: the singers could actually sing where, in most cases, you could really "feel" the words coming out of their mouth where it was full of substance......and the musicians actually played "real" instruments - unlike so much unnecessary computer-related "noise" that's generated inside of a studio. This song TRULY exemplifies well-rounded auditory pleasure to be enjoyed, again, gain and again - even in August, 2024.

70s and 80s music is the best. This is one of the 70s classics. You can imagine driving home at night and hearing this on an AM radio station. If I could go back in time…
As we approach Election Day 2024, the message of this song speaks volumes! What we have in common with each other is much greater than what separates us! Let brotherly & sisterly love continue into 2024.
What we have in common is being beat down for four years. The overrun invasion at the border, inflation, family values, what is a woman, erosion of morality, wars, crime, and the list goes on and on. I'm not buying The Emperor's New Clothes from Biden. America is in trouble and you appear to like the road he started. No thanks.

@@richardlong8014If the Lord would allow, I would ask Him to transport me back to this innocent time of 1972 through 1979 and keep repeating it over and over. All of my friends and family were alive and well. We had no hardships of any kind. Love and laughter filled our homes with joy. Ages 11 through 18 were the best years of my life. Now, nearly 50 years later, I am 63 years old, with no children, never married, and everyone that I have ever loved have all passed away. I look forward to absolutely nothing any longer. Just waiting to die to be with all of my deceased family and friends.
To all you producers out there: listen to that mix. Everything is balanced and leveled. The bass isn't in the way of the drums, the guitar isn't mixed over the vocal and the percussion isn't in anyone's way. This is a masterclass on how to make a professional record.
Natural beauty at its finest. Even her voice. A woman's glory is her hair. She had a lot of glory. She was never loaded with makeup. She is truly missed.
When I was doing high school through the 70's I knew it was a good time to be alive, but I didn't know what we really had, back in the day this was just a nice song with a beautiful vocalist, little did I know this period of time was just splash in the pan moment in time, never to return, GOD rest her soul.
I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. If it was playing on the radio when I got to work or back home, I would always just sit and listen to it. No way would I turn off the car during this song. I still listen to Nicolette, her voice was beautiful and so was she!
What I love is that she looks SO HAPPY singing. Beautiful 😊. Something one seldom sees these days. I remember all these songs and their lyrics when I was a kid. Now to SEE them being sung just blows my mind (back then you usually only saw these on a late night show, if even that).
I have always loved this song and never heard this extended version. It is beautiful. Nicolette had such a beautiful voice. I had a chance to meet her briefly and get her autograph back in the 80s. She was a sweetheart to me. Beautiful smile. Thanks for this.
What an honor to have his autograph, if you still have it, post it on your social networks, when it is the anniversary of his birth, his death or when this song came out.
I have a dream, that one day we will be judged by the content of our character, the depths of our humanity, the level of our talent, and the beauty of our spirit. We were headed there. But sometime in the eighties and later we sold out for materialism and even teeth. Miss you Nicolette, and miss your beautiful smile.
Such smooth sounds! This is when singers could actually sing. Wish we could go back to a time when music was music! Nicolette Larson had an amazingly beautiful voice, something you don't find these days.
Nicolette Larson's "Lotta Love" is an indispensable performance, from an irreplaceable woman. Absolute joy in this sound, found nowhere else. Love this woman and her performance here!
Nicolette - your dance , and moves add to your marvelous song ! The musicians help make it too ! You all worked so strong together ! What a beautiful girl too . Your music remains !! Bless you !!
Masterpiece of late disco period 78-79. Sex goddess singer, NL, backed by a oerfect piccolo. Fab sax & disco mix. Tuff lyrics. Emotional & so meaningful . This extended mix is a rare miracle. Perfect video of the artists in session. She later tried C & W, but had little luck. Her soul and signature sound was embedded in this song. Danceable & memorable. Thanks much, Nicolette Larson, Rod T., Warner Bros. musicians & crew. Never forgotten. Vive les retro & disco freaks ....

Always loved the single/album version, but never heard THIS before! It grooves and lets itself cook before that VOICE comes in, like chilling a fine wine before taking the first sip...and the sweet, extended flute and sax solos while the rhythm section keeps it tight...and then back to Nicolette's voice, and the background vocals...I LOVE This!!!!

I'm back because this song is sooooo beautiful.
I am back because I am a qualified lesbian
To all you producers out there: listen to that mix. Everything is balanced and leveled. The bass isn't in the way of the drums, the guitar isn't mixed over the vocal and the percussion isn't in anyone's way. This is a masterclass on how to make a professional record.
I STILL REMEMBER THIS SONG .ITS SO BEAUTIFUL! RIP NICOLETTE
She is like a precious goddess
You mean “god”
I was 15 years old when I was listening to this song. I am now 58 y.o. and still loves it sooooooo much ❤
Me too!!!
@@agnesevetrano7231 Me three!!!
I bought the album comes a time in 78 . She did the backing vocals . Back in the 70 s fantastic music came out every week !

Same bro.
when music was music and not just noise. beautiful girl, song and arrangement. thank you for the post and wonderful memories.
Why don't they make music like this gem anymore? This is music.
It’s takes special talent and chemistry to make music like this, feels like creativity was more apparent then
Song was written by the great Neil Young
@challenger william: well said
Music and Music only.🧜♀🧜♀🧜♀
When I get stressed or anxiety kicks in, I have to listen to my classic rock❤
On my God. This is the best song and performance. I turned 18 in 1970. I so know this music. Thank you.
70's music is my happy place.
Nicolette slayed this song and we lost her way too soon. RIP
i didnot know she died
@@armandoloredo3933 . . She died young .
@@armandoloredo3933 She passed in 1997. So sad.

@@johnbourgois8059 Her brain swelled. She had some substance abuse issues that sadly caught up with her.
Beautiful...Her voice, her, sax, flute. Better days!! It's now 2023, look at all the BIG problems we have 😢
Who is on sax and flute, respectively?
And you thought you had big problems in 2023…
@@ClintonWatrin-sv8lma prior reply says Ron Swanson on Sax; does anyone know who is/name of flute player?🤔
Her voice and this entire band is a prime example of epic! March 9th 2024. Still love this so much!
Natural beauty at its finest. Even her voice. A woman's glory is her hair. She had a lot of glory. She was never loaded with makeup. She is truly missed.
That saxophone is so incredible. One of the great songs of the 70s……
he looks a little high or something
Tenor sax
El saxofón es mágico!!!
This saxophone part and the sax part in Glenn Frey's, 'You Belong To The City' has same uplifting vibration.
One of the best one hit wonders of the 1970s thank you you tube for posting this👍
This version is WONDERFUL! I love the intro! That flute is beautiful.
She's showing PURE JOY!!
@@JohnHJennings You have good taste in music! I just took a look at your playlist. WONDERFUL stuff!
Bella canción 🥰🥰
@@MariaLopez-gu7gk SI!!! Absolutamente! 🌼
Exactly.. thought the flute in the beginning was fantastic
When I was doing high school through the 70's I knew it was a good time to be alive, but I didn't know what we really had, back in the day this was just a nice song with a beautiful vocalist, little did I know this period of time was just splash in the pan moment in time, never to return, GOD rest her soul.
A beautiful lady with a beautiful voice Nicolette was truly one of a kind RIP sweet angel
I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. If it was playing on the radio when I got to work or back home, I would always just sit and listen to it. No way would I turn off the car during this song. I still listen to Nicolette, her voice was beautiful and so was she!
She's so beautiful... I love that song. I had so much fun in the 70's. Not a care in the world back then, I guess...

Great song by a beautiful woman - MISS YOU NICOLETTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's sad is these days you have to be plastic and fake to be " beautiful "
True Montana girl. Have read in other places that she was a very kind person.
I’m gay and she’s the sexiest person here that I’ve seen in years. What a joy to have that memory.

What's wrong with even teeth?
What wonderful words🙏
@@haywoodalanhayhorr8052 - Check out Nicolette's top row of teeth and get back to us.
Wow, you’ve really fallen for the zoo script programming😂
Such a beautiful lady with a lovely voice. It was a shame 🫠 to lose so young. Fortunately she leaves behind some wonderful recordings.😢❤
I'd say she was an influence to Bonnie Tyler, Kim Carnes and many many others. Can't you hear that when others sing too? Amazing
This beautiful lady here sang the one I remember. That distinct voice takes you back to the 70s as though it was yesterday.
You wrote that nicely. She was great and another 1 I like a lot is Jennifer Warnes.....

I just knew Greg would know I have an urn and I need a paycheck I'm tibet Hong Kong and Taiwan I'm not welsh either or latino.
Thank you Nicolette, Neil Young and band members for creating a song focused on love that represents what the world needs to overcome social dysfunction on so many levels. Nicolette gives this song it's iconic sound that no one else can.

Great arrangement of Neil Young's song. The feel, instrumentation and Nicolette's vocals are superb.
All this time & I never knew it was written by Neil Young.
I absolutely LOVE this song! Yes, the style back then was so beautiful. I was born in ‘73 and my mum was so beautiful with long straight brown hair - hippy lady. Nicolette is beautiful ❤
I love this mix, such a classic song, I remember singing this song as a kid back in the 70's great memories of growing up.
She was so beautiful and this song is simply beautiful as well. RIP
A super clean and satisfying performance! Nicollette and Linda Ronstadt are two really fine artists of magnitude.
I never really understood what a profound effect this song has had on me recently, I just can't get enough. Music has always had a large piece of my heart and sometimes you have enjoyed a song for so many years and then it catches up to you again. This has such a nice flow of mutual artists understanding what a great song should sound like. Very well done Nicolette Larsen!
I remember this beautiful talent as a backup singer for Commander Cody. It's a shame we lost her at such a young age.
Music was real back in 70s with real musicians playing real instruments, singing with real voices.
Amen to that...real everything

Always loved the single/album version, but never heard THIS before! It grooves and lets itself cook before that VOICE comes in, like chilling a fine wine before taking the first sip...and the sweet, extended flute and sax solos while the rhythm section keeps it tight...and then back to Nicolette's voice, and the background vocals...I LOVE This!!!!
best version of this classic...
I didn't know she was Heaven!! Rest her soul.😢💜✝️🙏
