Lyrics:
I don't know where my baby is
But I'll find him, somewhere, somehow
I've got to let him know how much I care
I'll never give up looking for my baby
Been around the world and I, I, I
I can't find my baby
I don't know when, I don't know why
Why he's gone away
And I don't know where he can be, my baby
But I'm gonna find him - Видеоклипы

Christmas 1989 I left my 5 month old son with my parents to finish law school. I was miserable without him and I decided to fly home to get him before the end of the term in February 1990. When I got there my Mom showed me videos my Dad took while he was there. This song was playing in the background on one while he was taking his first steps in his walker. Every time I hear it, I am transported back to that time! Forever one of my favorite songs! I’m here in May 2024 and still loving it!
How did it turn out? Your law career? Your son?

Hello Rich F !!!
Warm greetings from manila 😍
Yes, I agree with you
101 % ...
Wonderful music of the 80's to 90's ! 🥰💟🍀🤓
80s had the awesome beats and songs
The transition periods from decades are usually the most refined. Eg 76-81, 86-91, the sound finds its identity and then reinvents itself. So good.
This song is a hymn of praise to the transition between the 80's and the 90's. It's a perfect blend between the 2 decades.
Well said! I actually didn't know if it was from 1989, 1990 or 1992... I just had the feeling that it comes from this time of transition. :-)

They don't anymore. Magic gone

"Pure magic for the soul" - beautifuly said... What a banger this song
Someone needs to bring this kind of music back. I loved the orchestral pop of this era. So many of the best songs used strings and pianos and woodwinds. It was an incredible period for music.
So much of that "sound" diminished with the loss of orchestration, esp. strings.
It was '89-'94. A lot of songs with that type of melody. It was amazing. I wish it had lasted forever but it didn't. I'll never forget in '89 I first heard it off of Soul to Soul. Their smash hit "back to life". I'll never forget how modern it sounded when I first heard it. And still to this day I get that sensation like no other. An amazing time. Maxi Priest "Close to You" was another one.
il try!
It was true soul - tingle inducing music 🎵
Bang on, now it's mostly untalented electronic beat box junk😢
I like Bert Bacharach music and artists such as Dusty Springfield, Dionne Warwick etc

Lisa's Stansfield talent was otherworldly. I loved this record and still do
I wanted to have this sound but it isn’t in style anymore
Every time I hear this song, I am transported back to 1990. I'm walking through the mall with my dad. The mall is bustling with thousands of people, long before the internet would destroy the mall experience. Every store was open for business. The teenagers all went there to flirt and have a good time. You could smell the food court from anywhere in the main hall. You could hear the sound of the arcade. And Lisa Stansfield, just singing her beautiful heart out. I miss it so much.
me too and only good memories.

This song reminds me of the day my grandmother passed away, in 1989. We’d driven to my grandparents home and things had quieted down. I was in the living room and this video came on. My mom was crying in her old room next to the living room. I just stood in front of the tv, trying to drown the sound out with the music. I wish I’d turned it off, because it’s taken me about 30 years to listen to the entire song. Some months later, it came on the radio. I mentioned it had come on the day she passed away. My mom said, “It surely did!” R.I.P. to my grandmother and mother. They were two of the sweetest people I’ve ever known.

That scene from Dahmer took me right back to my early childhood in the 90s. The clothes, the music, the atmosphere of them going out. The first show I have seen in a long time that just nailed the atmosphere of the period in question perfectly. All the others just make it a bit too colorful and flashy (especially the 80s, but this I don't remember).
We were just watching that episode and I started signing along, old school 90s
I knew it was a reason why this song was stuck in my head i forgot all about the Dahmer series playing this song
Yeah this song is so fit in with that scene in dahmer series...
I feel sorry for Tony
May this man can rest in peace and may God forgive you Dahmer
Also for the families of the victims can be more stronger above all this...
My mom played this song all the time , when I was a kid and still listening in 2021 . Anyone else?

2024. I remember being in high school, when this song came out & thought I knew everything about love..
I’m still listening in 2024, at 49, now divorced & a mom of 3, I know less or just about the same about love, all these years later. But I still think, I’m going find my baby..someday?!?
