- Hey guys, in this video I cover the mods I've done to my 2017 CR1000L Africa Twin to make it better suited for adv riding and moto camping.
This video was filmed in 2019, I've done more upgrades since (including adding bark busters). Might make a follow-up video on that sometime, but here is the list of mods as seen in this video:
- Front fender riser kit
- Anlas Capra X knobby tires
- GIVI High windscreen
- Airdam forkshield
- Oxford heated grips
- Pelican case 1120 engine box, quick release using the SW motech quick release system
- BUMOT Defender skidplate
- HEED Upper crashbars
- Highway footpegs
- Speed demon side blinder LED pods & wiring harness
- USB aux outlets (2 x 2 USB interfaces)
- Outback Motortek - X-Frame Pannier Racks
- Altrider rear luggage plate
- Pelican case 1500 top case with Outer limit QR system (case not shown in this video).
- Eastern Beaver PC8 remote fuse box
- Motowolf phone holder
Think that's it...

I enjoyed this video! I’ll be getting me an Africa Twin sometime and these mods look good to me.
Sweet man !
That's a great looking beast!
Cheers man, had a look at your channel, you're from Ontario as well?
@@Scorge120 I am. Waterloo area. You have a great looking twin bud.
I remember you from back in the day! What a hell of a RUclips cross over.
Enjoy the AT, plan on trading my bike for one here soon
Haha, right on! It's an amazing bike going on my 4th season with it and 60K Kms trouble free.
I really like your bike but you may be able to adjust your handlebars forward just a little bit and they'll raise up an inch just by moving them forward a little bit
Twinning!!!
Nice.
She's very pretty. 😍
hi, for suspensions: have a look for Hyper pro progressive springs, you can also raise 20 mm and/or get a harder spring if you often travel with bags/passenger
Hey, I have the HyperPro +20mm front/rear springs sitting in my garage already! Going to install them before the season starts, heard great things about them so pretty excited.
After doing a season with the hyperpro front/rear springs, I have to say that, that might be my favorite mod I've done to the bike!
Soo its been a few years and you havent updated us with the Pneumatic Motor with legos.
Please update it or make the car you promised
I’ve Ben waiting for 4 years now for that other air hogs and legos video
I bought the first gen 2016 it hit the market June of 2017
That’s pretty dope - I’ve wanted a bike for a while. Do you ride out and camp or just spend the day riding in the woods/mountains? I’ve always wanted to know because the idea of ADV riding is intriguing.
Both! But usually, we pack camping gear and spend a few days riding further out in the country to hit POIs & scenic stuff. If you have time and $$ would highly recommend riding and adv riding in particular.
@@Scorge120 It's something to consider. Thank you, dude. Like the new content.
Part number on the plate for the tank pelican?
Pretty cool but can it run crysis?
Hi Can you tell for me the name this crash bars?
What quick-release are you using for your rear pelican case? Link if possible.
It was a QRS from Outer Limit Supply, but it wasn't designed for this application and broke off while off-roading. Now I just have it bolted down and take it on/off when necessary. I couldn't find a robust enough solution that would handle the size and weight of the case.
Does anyone know which bulb would it make the headlight brighter ?
Not sure, I'd go for an aux light system I run mine almost 24/7
@@Scorge120 I’ve found out you can’t change bulbs. The whole thing is one big unit.
And yes, I’ll with the aux option.
Thank you
any update on the lego engine? also nice bike mods
Thanks, I think that project is done unfortunately.
Cool bike, but where the lego videos man?
Zachary, plz come back music and compositions vids i Love you content is Very rich

Agree he know how to good produce music (metal)
Hi, I couldn’t catch the name of your bash plate please 🙂
Bumot Defender
Let me ask you how much weight you add to this bike?
It's changed quite a bit since this video but I wouldn't be surprised if it's pushing 600lbs wet. I wanna weigh it
you call it upgrade I call it fuck up. dude I run mine stock and it is still fine..aftermarket loves you...more money to you or off you..meetyou in the Kalahari desert..
Panniers are round thr wrong way.
Honda should upgrade horsepower on this motorcycle. 100 hp is joke
I find it's plenty, the only time I wish it had a bit more power is loaded up on the hwy
Honda hp=200000miles ktm hp= 60000miles before rebuild! 100hp will do me fine! If I wanna lose my licence I'll ride my gsxr 1100h!
