I'm still compiling my list I only started last week and it's a chore, well done you for pulling together this fab video. I was going to do just two splits of booktubers and subscribers but i like how you've created a chapter for each person.
Thanks so much, Katja. These videos are fun to do. I have an ongoing list that I continue adding to over time. Looking forward to seeing your video. 😊💙
Madam Victoria sounds really interesting. It reminds me of a recent novel called Falling Animals by Sheila Armstrong where the author uses the case of an unidentified body as her premise. I would definitely recommend that too.
Fully buying One Last Song immediately! That sounds like exactly my kind of romance. Hope you like Jade Peony. I was in the middle of writing it in for 100 best books when I remembered it came out in the 1990s.
Have now added a couple new books to my TBR! I highly recommend both 'Ours' and 'Poor Deer'. I loved the poetically written story of 'Ours'. A magical realism story re-imagining a different view of a harsh reality in a period of U.S. history. I later read James, and while they are very different styles of writing, both give power to the oppressed and have amazing characterization. I also read Jesmyn Ward's 'Let Us Descend' a few months later and, again different, but similar to 'Ours' in their poetic and dreamlike writing. I think both authors are actually poets:) Poor Deer was SO touching and poignant. A short, but powerful read from the perspective of a child trying to make sense of an event that impacted her life. I found it a journey of a child's innocence, growing awareness and a book about forgiveness. Love seeing your fur baby:) Happy reading!
I have added a bunch of these titles to my TBR! Thank you for this video & everyone who recommended to you. I hope you enjoy Widow Fantasies as much as I did. And I really want that cover on a t-shirt!! 😄
Shucks, thank you for such a lovely shout out !!! Jax is such a snuggle pup, my heart. I've heard of Kristin Lavransdatter a few times, I will have to pick it up sooner rather than later, and Widow Fantasies.... that sounds fantastic. I am loving "The Cure For Drowning" our Big Read for the summer. I can't wait to hear what they announce for the wrap up party (I'm hoping the author will come in person)
Sounds like Kristin Lavransdatter is a workout. Don't want that crashing down on your face while reading in bed. The Cure For Drowning is on my radar too. So glad you are enjoying it. Keeping my fingers crossed that the author comes to the party. Jax is just a big suckie baby. Love him to bits. :)
@@BookwormAdventureGirl I finished The Cure For Drowning this afternoon.... it was an incredible story, I think these characters will stay with me for a while
I second the recommendation for The End of Drum Time; I think you will enjoy it. Kristin Lavransdatter is quite a commitment. It lived on my kitchen table for 6 weeks while I read it-too heavy to move it anywhere else. Madame Victoria is on my TBR too, thanks to our best Canadian books project. 😊
I had never heard of The End of Drum Time so I will move it up the list. Kristin Lavransdatter looks huge so I can imagine it’s heavy. Love that our project brought attention to some great books. 😊💙

Fresh Banana Leaves is such a great read.
Thanks. I have a feeling I will love it. 😊💙

Ohhhh, Falling Animals sounds good too. Thanks for recommending that. For some reason I am drawn to stories like these. 😊💙
Aww thank you for the shoutout! I’m happy to feed the book addiction any time. I hope you enjoy both Sweetgrass and Banana Leaves.
Thank you for the recommendation. Can’t wait to get to it. 😊💙

Agree about One Last Song. I think I will really like The Jade Peony. It sounds like my type of book. 😊💙
Such a great video idea! A brilliant post illustrating how we affect one another's reading world on Booktube.
Thanks Heather. The influence is real! 😊💙
Yay for The Wall!!! ❤
Can't wait to read it. 😊💙

I’m reading the Laurie Frankel novel right! And loving it 😊
Excellent! That's great news. 😊💙
I hope you love Isadora! No, I haven’t read any of these but I’m interested in the one where the spouse poses as a slave owner to get to freedom.
I think I will adore Isadora! Yes, Master Slave Husband Wife sounds soooo good. 😊💙
I genuinely think about A Short Stay in Hell almost every day haha. Its not traditional jump scare scary but I really do think you'll enjoy it!
That says something. I will definitely be picking it up. :)
I agree- not enough books from the voices of elders . 📖 🪱 💚
I have loved some books with really great elderly characters. :)
