Hi Aeri, I wanted to write to tell you that I have tried several Korean recipes from various RUclips channels and your recipes always turn out great! We must have similar taste buds :) so glad you are here to help me learn Korean cooking! Thank you!
Thank you, j falia.. I have lots of thought in my mind about my korean cooking channel these days... like.. how long I can keep my work more... wonder if it's time to stop it... I'm doing this too long... My subscribers like you..and comment like yours.. make it hard for me to quit my channel.. I really appreciate your support.
Hi ^^ How was your week ?? Yes, I usually don't like sweet dessert food much..but I like this kind... btw I have a question for you. Do you have any special tip for diet ?? thanks..
Aeri's Kitchen hi Aeri my week was ok thank you. The thing with diets is that one diet might not work for everyone. If your goal is to lose bodyfat, I suggest that you need to work out how many calories you are to consume per day according to your specifics.. eg height weight etc. you can track this by using a site called myfitnesspal.com it's a fabulous site and has a ton of information. My tip... always eat protein at every meal as protein, keep carbohydrates to complex carbs and minimise white refined carbohydrates such as white bread etc. also include healthy fats such as extra Burgoyne olive oil, coconut oil, almonds, salmon etc. let me know if you have any other questions Hun myfitnesspal.com
Wow, I didn't expect this much help. Thank you very much. so kind.. Yes, I do feel that I need diet for both health and look. also I feel heavy and weak.. and sometimes ugly about my body fat too.. so.. I will try your advice.. What do you think of.. white rice.. I eat a lot of it.. it is as bad as white bread for diet ? I will let you know how my diet goes later. :) Thanks again.
YUmmy! I love Chocopies. They are an easy way to make stacked cakes for a quick birthday treat! Thanks so much for the recipe! Love the mochi like texture in this one
Yes.. actually when I made the recipe first time.. I mixed milk cocolate and semi-sweet chocolate for the coating.. (1:2) then.. I didn't like that silghtly bitter flavor from the semi-sweet chocolate.. then I tried with all milk chocolate.. and loved it.. lol Your taste must be healthy.. hehe thanks.. try it someday.
Aha, since I don't like peanut butter.. I even didn't try it before. lol I need to get some for our kids since they love peanut butter when we visit Korea next time. :) thanks
I found a video for you. She steamed the rice cake to make mochi. Maybe you can try her method. Here is a link for you. :) ruclips.net/video/MDcfOm8T-xg/видео.html
This is such a cool idea! Do you have any tips on cleaning the bowl afterwards? I always find that making mochi slightly annoying since cleaning the bowl is so difficult afterwards 😥😥😥
I know what you mean..and totally understand how you feel about it. I do not like cleaning that bowl with sticky rice cake either. My tip for you is.. don't try to clean right away.. just fill the bowl with water and let it set for more than an hour.. it will be easier that way to clean.. thanks
That's so sweet of you.. to try to make it for your friends. Since we make it at home.. we don't put any preserves in it, so I will not keep it more than a day in the room temperature. I don't know how long it will for it to delivered to your friend's house. If it's in less than 2 days.. I might try..but not longer than that.. thanks p.s another thing is.. I used milk chocolate for this recipe..and it seems like.. milk chocolate melts faster in the same temperature than semi-sweet or dark chocolate.. so you need to consider that too.
I just tried store bought ones and they were good, nice chewy texture and chocolate flavor, but they were a bit too sweet for my liking. I will try your recipe and adjust the sweetness.

Hehe I don't know how much hard is hard for you in cooking.. hmm.. to be honest, I think it's simple and easy dessert to make. :) So try it someday. hehe
These look SO good! When I've tried the microwave technique it never works for me. It gets way to sticky & can't come of of the bowl without a fight! Lol. I use Mochiko... maybe not enough? Or maybe my microwave is too hot.
It is very sticky for me too. Just make sure that you take out the dough and stir it..and put it back to microwave and cook some more..and stir it again.. for few times.. When it becomes too sticky.. you can put some corn starch on your hands or to the sticky rice cake to handle with it.. :)
@@kimm337 If you can order something from amazon, you can check this one. amzn.to/360Sj5Y You can also find the same thing at Walmart or local American grocery stores sometimes.. (if you have some Asian population in your area..)

p.s. YOUR KITCHEN IS SO NICE! 😍
I'm having difficulty to lose weight since I had Logan. lol Hey, please be nice and share with others. lol hehe Love you too. Thanks my friend.
Yes, I love my kitchen. Thanks :)
Hi Aeri, great recipe! Looking forward to trying this. One question: is there any alternative to using a microwave, since I don't own one?
I believe you can use a steamer, it takes a little longer though. I'm sure you can find a tutorial for steaming the ricecakes on youtube (:

전자렌지가 없는데 찰떡 익히는 방법이있나요? 너무만들고싶어요 맛있어 보여요 냠~
어떤 분들은 찜기에 찌기도 하시더라구요. 혹시 찜기 있으심.. 밑에 떡만들데 쓰는 얇은 천 까시고 쪄보셔요.
아 그래야겠어요 감사합니다
awesome!! now i can stop ordering them lol!!!

no thank YOU ;D

Yes... mine might be not as sweet as store bought ones.. :) Please try it someday and let me know.. thanks..
@@aeriskitchen I tried yesterday, omitted the filling and just coated the rice cakes with chocolate. Right amount of sweetness for me.
You can add nuts to the chocolate in the center or coconut to the rice flour...yum!
That will be a great idea too. :) thanks
This is perfect especially since a pack costs $20 on eBay
wow 20 dollars @,@ yes make it at home :)
Aeri, what is sweet rice flour? Is glutinous flour? Or rice flour???
yes it is glutinous flour... here is a link for you. amzn.to/2mPkzhV
I don't have a microwave. Could I steam the rice flour mixture instead? If so, about how long?
