It was Fuji who screwed up by making that hidden LCD screen. That’s the reason I wouldn’t buy it and still won’t if they bring that out again.
I bought the XT4 and the XT5. The XT4 was a disappointment with the auto focus. But I haven’t missed the pro series since buying these cameras.
I also believe that there shouldn’t be any video in the pro series, just straight photography.
But considering we may be headed into a big depression, it doesn’t make sense for Fuji to keep the line going. They see what’s happening to the economy and inflation, and you have to cut somewhere. I always thought they had too many camera bodies to begin with. They should definitely think about a video camera, a photo camera and perhaps a beginners hybrid camera. But stop making so many different models, as it’s bad for business.

Fujifilm was slow to launch the X100VI, I ended up buying the Canon R6 Mark II. Now I'm waiting for the Fujifilm X-Pro 4, if it takes time, I'll end up buying the Lumix S9.

I purchased an x pro 2 when they were first released. I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE that camera, but ready to update. I passed on the x pro 3 due to its goofy back display and the elimination of the d-pad (my big fingers don’t do well with touch-screens). With numerous Fuji x lenses, I’ve been anxiously awaiting the new model, but I’m growing impatient. Now retired, I’m shooting much more, and am seriously considering the jump to a Leica M11 if Fuji dumps the x pro series, or doesn’t make an announcement soon. Come on Fuji - tell us SOMETHING!!!!

    I don’t believe the XPRO4 is being discontinued .
The screen design can be rolled back to the three way tilting screen. I can’t see how the XPRO4 won’t have IBIS. I don’t particularly want the 40MP sensor but that is likely what we get. As this is a photocentric camera there won’t be many video specs but how can you have a videoless camera? Fuji can tone down the video to, say, 4K 24,25, and 30. Due to heat issues limit the video to 10-15’. This is a photocentric camera after all.
To save money Fuji can scrap the OVF. I don’t use it and maybe others don’t too. I don’t want to spend $2200-2500 for this body. I have given up on getting a X100VI. I preordered on the 1st day. After three months I cancelled my order. I’m not waiting a year for that camera. In my opinion, Fuji needs to get their manufacturing better organized. How could they not anticipate that the X100VI would not be as popular as the X100V? When a new model is announced Fuji should be able to deliver the models rapidly. There are, after all, other manufacturers than you can go into a camera store and walk out with the body you want.
