Thank you for your video, I have been searching for hours to find a good video on how to reset preferences in Illustrator 28. Your step by step video was the most informative I've seen. I clicked on your link as I remembered you from years ago when I was learning Dreamweaver. Glad to see you're still around.
When I start Illustrator (after deleting the Preference File) I get a message box saying the Operation cannot complete because of Unknown error. [TAdd] After I click OK in the message box, Illustrator continues to open and everything seems to be OK. Is this normal?

sort of ;) I have seen that from time to time as well. After that, I reset again and hope it goes away. If not, keep working!
