Absolutely loving this car as a daily driver. You explained the driving dynamics very well. I'm just over 10k and every few miles unlocking a new tier of dynamics and understanding. It turns something like running an errand into a blast.
Hi Thomas. Your comments on the rear handling niggles is valid. I've a 2021 A91 3.0 and can say that while the factory handling is great unfortunately cost ssvings were made in some areas (most obvious are the plentiful plastic components on the awesome B58 e.g. intake manifold, oil filter housing). The solution to tie down the rear better is to lock down the rear subframe and differential with 1) a differential brace kit (Twisted Tuning) & 2) swapping the stock rubber rear sub bushings for solid ones. Wheel hop is virtually eliminated giving a more stabilizd rear end under cornering and acceleration and stiffen chassis rigidity which always is a good thing, even on a street car. No major diff to NVH as subframe is a not direct moving chassis part.
Had this numb issue and weird steering feel with the supra when first got it. No. 1: the rear alignment is totally off. Need to get the alignment fix first. No.2: tire pressure have to fix it around 32psi. And the pilot super sport tire takes too long to heat up. Normally the tire temp reach until 40c or more only effective and grippy
Hey Thomas, I was wondering, when you mention the steering isnt as responsive/didnt have much feedback, would you say you can take your time with the delayed feedback/response of the steering because your torque can always make up for it? Or is it just something that kind of sticks with you no matter the thrill that is accompanied by the power? Also, big fan, been watching all your videos! I always love your energy, your videos never fail to make me feel like I am watching a short because time just flies. This video was 25 minutes long?!
I have a 2023 MKV 6MT and honestly is one of the most fun cars I have owned. This isn’t faster than an M3 or something extreme, but it’s meant to handle like he said, a weapon. I have never not taken my car out to drive and not had a smile on my face. The steering is ok but definitely not a Porsche or anything extreme like that.
Yes Its pretty numb. Only vibrates when there's cars in blind spot. Nothing to do with torque etc. The other part of the steering is that it had very weird and probably too quick ratios from the centre. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Get a car like my manual m140i what they called m lites. Same b58 but base tune at 335 hp. MUCH CHEAPER than supra at the moment at least. Mine is for sale btw 😂
