Mike is the best interviewer by far. He users evidence to back his arguments instead of just mindless roasting insults
Couldn't agree more
Yea, he does his homework.
Just because he puts stuff on the table? Sounds like I could lure you off a cliff with car keys. Claude looks primarily at the financials, in an interview with Yasmina in 2009, he pulled out her business accounts, showed her up for not knowing how much profit she actually made. Jordan in 2013 was caught out for not being a shareholder in the business he said he owned. He was caught out for fraud. He got an interrogation, not an interview. And when he isn't looking at financials, he's reading between the lines on their CV and calling them out for the puffery they come up with. Stuart Baggs called himself a brand. If someone is a brand, you don't go work for someone else. He praised Solomon's CV then proceeded to call his business plan a disgrace. He was annoyed that someone gave him such hope, only to be let down by the business plan. That's because he had 2 pages with pictures. He came at Claude with a PNG and then almost walked out the window. With Stephanie, he was blunt and to the point, but he was right in what he said. Then showed that she came off as reckless with money.
Linda Plant seems to be Mikes replacement in the area of testing the product or services they produce. That's just seeing how they respond when their claims don't match reality. If someone claims 4-5 days in delivery for example, their response should be I'll look into that and might have to consider either correcting that in the future or switching courier. Not look like they've been caught in a bold face lie.
Then there is the actual goal of the interviews. Taking the final 5 arrogant candidates and giving them a dressing down. Because if they're going to work for or work with Alan Sugar, they're going to have to deal with people like this on a regular basis, and they're going to need to show that they can take it and fire back with facts. So if they can't handle being roasted, they don't deserve to be there.
@@TheOmegaRiddler looks like I can lure you into making an essay on someone
@@michaelthecoffeedrinker9077 doesn't change the fact you ignored the fact that all of them were looking into parts of their CV or business. Big deal, Mike put something on the table. So did Linda.
This guy is always the best when he asks a question then says "that's not how I found it when I used your service" or "I own that website, and this one and this one" 😂 he's very good at giving them business lessons without being too nasty about it
It's good to talk to you
_Almost_ like it's scripted for entertainment purposes.
BRO HE DID THE WEBSITE THING EXACTLY THIS TIME AS WELL
Personally I think Mike it the best interviewer on The Apprentice. He goes to good lengths to check out each business and puts his point across in a way you can respect it. Some of his comments are also pretty funny.
He’s not as harsh as the others imo. I think Karen and Claude really grill the candidates
He’s tough but not a total dick like Linda, Claude and Karen
Mike Soutar definitely shows more class and wisdom with his interview techniques. He doesn't need to act up to the camera to indicate his blunt but diplomatic approach.
It's a tv program and he has a team of people to do his research for him
"So its the bow" OMG, that was brutal.
Sadly in this day and age that would be enough to work, i mean shit people spend millions on twitch to see a 18 year old dress as a hooker.
I don't know how anyone can argue that Mike isn't the best interviewer he doesn't go for cheap insults, he presents questions in the form of creative scenarios and problems to make candidates think on their feet or get rightfully caught out and it's fresh each time. The other interviewers just do the usual grilling on numbers and credibility of the business plan which is repetitive.
For the sweet mix thing Mike presented two other competitors that were the same as my product. I would say aren’t the two other competitors doing the same thing to each other as well. It’s about the service we provided etc…
The concepts is the same but it’s the service that differs.
I love Mike Souter as an interviewer. He is a tough Scotsman. However he can be nice and funny at time. I loved when he gave Brittany a tissue when she was crying.
Whats the name of the interview on BBC iplayer??
he is harsh, but fair
1:20 gotta admire the confidence in that "No." 😂😂
It was so full of Confidence
I really like Mike, I think I would learn a lot if he interviews me. He is polite and gently points out where you are going wrong in a convincing way, which makes you want to rectify your faults. Excellent
"It's fun, it's unique, it's beautiful". It's a plastic cup full of Swizzels Matlow sweets that you can get in any supermarket or sweets shop.
Mike’s use of props is the best lol
“Don’t you think that is going to make you overstretched”
“No.”
Me: 😂😂😂
In my opinion, Mike is definetiley the best interviewer. He is like a snake. He looks at the numbers, and uses actual facts to "humiliate" the candidates, and teach them lessons without being very harsh
"I like the taste." She says with a face that is completely unable to hold the lie
‘Most of those companies are good’ 🤣
how could you not include when he buys all the website addresses of kathryn’s business 😂
The interviews episode is always great because so many egos get torn to shreds
"So it's the bow" 🤣
The girl who owned the drink looked like she knew the drink was horrible the minute he took it out
“It’s handpacked and the bow adds value to it” Titans of Business.
You can see why this guy keeps being invited back, forensic, deep dive, has a good sense for a visual like with the files. His points are shrewd, direct and leave no room for manoever.
I think the thing I like most about him is he is from the Claude Littner school of just do your job and do it well. Although he is entertaining you don't get the sense he is trying to be a star or be any different for the cameras and like Claude it took a good two or three series before you picked up just how good he actually is.
Waiting before today’s apprentice interviews to see how savage they are 😂
I’ve seen a sneak peak lol I couldn’t stop laughing 😂😂😂
0:27..quite the most insane look on anyone ever.
2:00 is that music from Doctor who?
At least Mike points out the actual problems with the businesses whereas Linda and Karen seem to just try and be as nasty as possible for no reason.
Hes very thorough. And he calls out the BS in what they say. Making them look very silly
*Takes the smallest sip ever*
"I like it"
I can't remember what candidate it was (I think it was Jordan?, but he put in his CV of doing a rubik's cube within a certain time, and Mike gave him a rubik's cube to prove himself - too funny and legendary moment 😅
last one is the best - missed opportunity "should i put a straw in it so you can clutch at it?"
Can you describe what's on the table in front of you 03:05
"I think it's fantastic.." Literally not what was asked.
Lady in the thumbnail really reminds me of that girl from Educating Yorkshire who says, "d'ya like my eyebrows? Shaved them off, shaved them all off haven't I?"
With a bit of Katie Waissell thrown in lol
the bow on the top adds to the value !!!!!!!!!
At least they ask real questions. I always hated interviews, particularly prevalent back when I was starting my career, where the interviewer would ask inane, stupid questions. 'Would you prefer to be a duck or a pencil case?' or some nonsense.
The cough at 2:54. 😂😂
Is Alan Sugar over stretched with how much he owns? He’s also a sitting peer🧐 the way he stacked those boxes up! 😂
That was a nice bow though tbf
At least he's not one of those interviewers who screams and shouts for no good reason.
It’s the “Are you sure about that?” nature of his questions followed by him just saying how rubbish the candidates are are what makes him elite 😂
I think the bow adds value to it
Entrepreneur of the year
How can i get him to critique my CV so I can get to an interview? lol
The bow on the top makes the difference 😂😂😂😂
The bow is everything
It's the bow😂😂😂
It's good to talk to you
@@selmisami1050 ????
'I like the taste' - reminded me of the almond moment in Bridesmaids
So its the Bow 👏👏🤣
that guy is epic lol
😂😂😂😂where can i watch them by episodes. He always on point. And their faces 😂😂😂
Mike loves a prop 😂 he goes in deep, fair play to him!
The fact they’re using a part of the doctor who soundtrack for this vid 😂
Lolll love how the first time we hear it in doctor who, its the doctor trying out different foods and just spitting it out
Mike, Claude, Linda and Karren are always one step ahead of everyone else
BBC reusing Doctor Who soundtrack at 2:05 haha
Good ear lol
the bow one finished me😂
This is better than the American apprentice. At least he actually tests the service and product
2:07 who else spotted the music from Doctor who? 😂
He really called her out on the unique aspect, 😂😂😂😂😂😂.
They'd get more respect from him if they were honest and open about being wrong, and for the late order at least apologised, offered to chase it up, look into speeding up the process and throwing in something extra as an apology
They're all stuck in defensive mode that they blatantly refuse to agree with the criticism, and he's there to help!
*It’s Baroness Souter to you*
These businesspeople are just proving that business is all about lying your bum off and keeping ahead of the people who want their money back that you've stolen.
What is the answer?? 3:42 i still waiting
This man is the King of Prop Comedy!!!
He has the worst luck with customer service
Doctor Who music at 2:14 from "The Eleventh Hour"
Mike really digs
This guy comes with the RECIEPTS 😂😂
Absolutely panicked seen the bow and put all her hopes into it 😂
2:10 the music is from doctor who lol
so glad I'm not the only nerd :
She looked at that drink as if it was poison lol and it's meant to be her product! Not a great selling point..
Just imagine Claude in skin tight Lycra and one of those silly cycling helmets - Job Done!
The one at the end have amazingly beautiful eyes
"So it's the bow?" lmao
the sweets 🤣🤣🤣
"Don't you think that is going to make you overstretched?"
Is Sugar overstretched by that logic?
At this point, I've seen too many varieties of Pick'n'mix businesses in my lifetime that there doesn't seem to be any point in making anymore of them 😂 it's hard to make something look unique with prepackaged sweets when there's already so many businesses that pack them up themselves. At most, variety boxes of handmade treats instead of ready made stuff could be a more unique approach and something worth investing in if it's well thought out.
Can you chase up my order 😂😂
Of course ! The bow adds value.. silly me
“It’s hand picked”
….it’s a cup of pick n mix love… you aren’t arranging flowers based on my zodiac sign
Mike comes with receipts 😂
The last one, where I can watch it at fully ?
Really tough interviews.
Mike provides constructive criticism while old bat Linda is trying very hard to be nasty.
You can tell by the look on that woman’s face she doesn’t like the drink at all
You talked about the problem now give this solution !!!
I own that website in 2 different series. Not see here but the interviews are fab.
County instead of country 😂
where can I watch full episode?
Last part reminds me of aldi/lidl copying other brands 😂
Found the criticism on Michaela stupid. Doesn't Lord Sugar have other businesses? He doesn't seem to be stretched. Think they just don't like the fact she's already successful and doesn't really seem to need Lord Sugar.
Certainly can't BS Mike at all.
Laugh it up if you like, but these are the people working in management in every industry in the country. No wonder nothing works and everything is fucked.
No business is perfect. Every single business has at least one problem. Even businesses like Tesco. All of the supermarkets have started selling products PAST its "Use By" date. Critique them instead.
I want the last part , full video
If you found, then please share. I am also waiting for the answer of that last part. I need to apply it in my business strategy. So, please help me by sharing the complete video.
@ I didn’t found out yet:(
Country vs County 😂😂😂😂
What season is this?
Some of these owners were straight up betrayed by their employees 🤣🤣🤣. People treat your employees better or they can land you in very sticky situations.
Whats the name of the interview on BBC iplayer?
So it’s the bow??
What that expression called! The girl did at the thumbnail!! 🤔
Top man for sure
Wow this tv show look great
I wish I had someone like this when I started, I would have saved a lot of money 😅
What Season?
Why does this montage involve predominantly female interviewees? I am sure that there were men who well qualified to be included.
