@@YouCanCallMeLizzy if they’re basing the list off the official times why wouldn’t they right in somewhere on the screen what that time is? Seems like a simple fix to me.
Can someone tell me why the official times are so far off what they measure in real time? I would've thought with all this laser technology they'd at least be close, but I saw multiple 40 times that ended up being adjusted by almost a tenth of a second which, when you're running short distances, is no small measure.
I think they have a guy pressing a button to activate the finishing laser. So I think the finish is lasered, the start is manual.

It is stupid. The hand timers at the start are very inconsistent, and generally make the players seem faster than they are

Lmao I wouldn't go that far but skill and ability in the sports world certainly is elevating. It's always been so. Since the beginning of sport the next set of players is always faster, stronger and more able. They grow with the standard they see and elevate it through creativity and, most importantly, necessity. A beautiful cycle.

Are you on a track? With a timer that starts when you cross the barrier? If not, then you could be a half second + lower than whatever way you are timing yourself.

I ran the 40 for time once last year. The 1st time in about 20 years. Got a 6.28. Felt pretty fast. Even the slowest lineman here ran faster than I did. 😐
