I swear to God, you probably get more rocket hits than I do gun hits with the mk108
Just get as close as you can and let them fly into your sights, one or two hits is all it takes.

Well i like to turn into the hunters, and switch to gunner role cuz you can shoot at them from 1km.. And kinda gives them less time ro engage. I kill1-2 pkanes on average as a bomber

This is great strat for killing supersonics as a subsonic later on. Ground level early supers can go maybe 100-200kmh faster than you, so you have plenty of time to shoot them. Works wonders against su7 players and f104s. Worse against migs bc they can actually turn.

You can also attack from the top. You get more speed thus the closure rate is a bit higher but nothing the 30mm couldn't handle. The climb rate at high alt is amazing.

they can get a shot on a komet in turnfighting but it depends on speed
Trauma soundrack and weighted piloting tactics makes this video not just an another warthunder video, but a real artwork. I enjoyed it a lot, although I'm not playing WT since tanks implemented, reminds me old aerial combats vibes.

you're actaully insane. Never seen anyone else so good at aiming mk108, and in general having an amazing playstyle. When you shot down that a29, you literlly just used 2 bullets. Insane
How do you you always know just how to react to your enemies' moves in dogfights, do you follow some sort of basic ruleset or is it just you having learnt to gauge the situations over the years? Anyhow I can't manage to wrap my head around how and why you do the things you do
I think beyond the basics it is mostly just feel, the accumulation of thousands of hours of experience. Unfortunately for us mortals, no tutorial will make us as good as smigol
no it just comes from experience over the years, like, I don't even think about what I'm doing or planning my dogfight or anything, if I see my opponent do some specific movement, I just automatically react to it. It's like changing gears in your car/bike. You stop thinking about it after some time.
I've had thousands of fights in this game and I simply learned how each of them looks like, what each maneuver leads to and that way I can predict what my enemy is going to do. That's why whenever I come across a completely inexperienced player, I just lose my head, because in my mind I am prepared for a certain response from my opponent, like for example, if I aim at the enemy who is turning, I expect him to dodge me last second and if he doesn't, I usually miss my shot because I automatically shoot where I think he would go XD
So yeah, it's ironically easier to confuse me if someone is just inexperienced than vice versa.
@@smigoltime Very good way to explain it basically same here after a literal decade XD just a reflex at this point Noticed it alot when playing with a friend who just started out he cant get a grasp on all the air maneuvers yet even though im teaching... but its hard sometimes to teach what at this point is only a unconscious reflex. really makes u think.
@@TheGrace020 Yea it's like teaching someone to breathe. That's why I don't really do any tutorials, because there's not a better tutorial than practice. You can have all the knowledge you want, but without these few years spent flying, you just won't be good

Yeah, they could call it "historical battles". Would be super unbalanced but fun as an extra mode.
@@marksukhovsky7917 actually it will be balanced. Just put a limit on how many of one type of vehicle can be spawned in at a certain moment in the battle. Also like give the soviets at most battles more players to portray the numerical advantage like WT did ik the Normandy event which was surprisingly balanced and fun.
Imagine if the Komet got it's historical fixed 100% throttle because it's a rocket engine.

well the B-0 is 8.7 and it's honestly just as capable XD I was getting constant ace games with it, even at uptiers
@@smigoltime Personally, I feel like the ME-163 is clubbed up to a ridiculous BR for no reason, sure its a bit more maneuverable than the B-I but is it really so much better than the BI deserves a 6,7 while this thing gets an 8.7/9,3? I dont think so, it should be placed low enough that it never encounters all aspect missiles or planes that are capable of mach 2 imo.
I remember they put out a planned br change of it that was going to move the lower BR one to 9.0 and the higher one to 9.7 awhile back before changing it after getting a bunch of shit for it in the forums and complaint tickets.
The same goes for many of the ME-262 variants, which similarly get extra high BR's vs Soviet and American equivs that are better in nearly every aspect except sometimes maneuverability and are usually placed at a lower or same BR.

yea, one thing to advice you, NEVER stay close to a Tu-4, no matter the plane you are flying. Fast attack run - if you miss - get out of there

Just a tip for the tu4 when a plane comes from below like that aim fairly far ahead and just hold the trigger down. They have to fly through the 23mms If they do just aim ahead and repeat bringing it closer to the front of the plane to adjust for the closing angle. And open fire at like 2km

This plane is harder to master than any other i imagine. So many little things, from fuel rationing, to knowing your unique engine quirks. It's beautiful to see 163 used well

They say that because they are use to using just shear volume of fire like with the American 50's so when they have to use something with low ammo and a larger caliber with a lower velocity they tend to spark or miss a lot thus "bad plane" (That and so many people lean on just WEPing 24/7 they never learn engine control)

I am a ground force player, and pretty good at it. However, I like CAS and am pretty good; seeing you play just imbues me with the confidence to play air realistic (even though I barely touch it cuz 1 life).
Although I actually do some of the things u did in a dogfight i.e. reversals (but I had no idea, it had a name) .However, I might start shooting from below, as I do the opposite; but my enemies usually seem to catch me off guard with it
