Last clip, you can tell Smigol is the better of the two great pilots without watching the end of it because of at least two blunders the enemy pilot made. First one at 5:32 when he stalled unnecessarily when he should have inverted and dove after Smigol. That would have given the pilot more of a chance of getting sights on target at least. Great move on the pilots part at 5:48 where he had his wings level compared to Smigol's position allowing him to turn under as Smigol turned to try and get guns on. At 7:04 it looked like he lost track of or underestimated how much energy/turn over rate Smigol had, looks like the latter. Great show all around, the rolling scissors was amazing to watch with the air disturbances on the wing tips like in real life!
That last dogfight was amazing to watch, an actual competent pilot against you and by that a long fight where you had to use all your tools at your disposal... Great fight there!
This is so real i prefer air fights in Ground RB cause no markers and generally less planes so less risk of 3rd party players are usually worse pilots or they are you 😭 @@smigoltime
It is not a good plane any more sadly, most of its adversaries are far better at almost anything. The 109 isn't too fast, doesn't turn good, overheats... it does have great engine power and hanging ability tho
@@smigoltime I use MEC for my 109 to keep the heat level non-existant. auto prop pitch for the rest of it. (only need like 30% radiator) However actually keeping up with my enemies is... Daunting. I feel like the plane should be performing better than it does ingame but that could just be german main bias. I am not an authority on such. I do however miss when the 13mm IAI belts were tracers. They even say HEIT in the card...

Also the card says IAI (immediate action incindiary). HEI-T is only available for the 15mm as far as im aware (on low caliber german aircraft guns, the 30mm has it too i think and the 50mm too.

It has to do with the willingness to learn and utilize the unique manual prop pitch of German fighters. Learning how to use the prop pitch can all but eliminate the overheating but it requires micromanagement in a fight. Alternately rather than micromanage it in a fight just turn to auto prop pitch and watch your temps in the fight.

From my personal experience in Spits, using flaps from 1:20 onwards might've given him enough lift to clip the 109.
Spitfires are tough girls but the pilot needs to fly her the right way. Too much dancing and she loses energy, too much speed and you break her wings. Fly the Spitfire properly and she will treat you properly.
I love playing ground RB to take on the anti-CAS role C early in the match. It’s honestly the funnest air RB combat that you get in warthunder. Small maps, no minimap or enemy tagging, small teams. No ridiculous furballs or toxic ass chats. Just awesome combat

There's probably some alternate reality where ideas of NS-45 and MK-108 met in the same head. Can you imagine 45mm minengeshoss tosser with RoF of MK-108 and without recoil of NS-45?
Smigol you should try the A26-10b with the 2x37mm load out with air belts, it’s a very fun and extremely satisfying experience if you do it right. My longest snipe was on a p-47 ~1.5km away (bullet travel distance) best thing is that on anything but a bomber 1 shell connecting = 1 kill.
What I saw here was a bunch of players who don't know how to play their planes going up against someone who knows how to capitalize on their ignorance. Edit: That isn't to say Smigol is not good at playing at air.

Beautiful work in the 109. Ive a few thousand hours in the game and yet still struggling with her, despite being one of my favorites.
