    Last night our mop quit spraying… again!!
    I decided to just add some hot water to the tank, voila!! A quick easy fix!
    E we had taken it all apart, as per this video several weeks ago, and it worked but I but obviously plugged up again quickly.

      That is great. I love bringing machines back to life. Was it tap water hot or boiling hot? The reason that I did not want to suggest this is because, someone will put boiling water in the plastic container and it will melt everything:)

      LoL thank-you, you know it is hard, to judge what people want to see. Some are like just tell me the steps others are more like, you didn't show the screw removal. For some projects I have the express edition that just highlights the steps. Thanks for watching

    Hi Rudolph. Thanks for the video. Using it got my braava jet spraying again. One thing to add to your great video. You talked about not using descaler/vinegar as. The water is pulled through the motor. I actually removed the motor as part of my cleaning and between the two pipes shown in your video is just another small pipe linking the two. The motor draws water by squeezing this small pipe. So any product that won't damage the plastic tubing should be fine.

      I try! The advice that I can give is look at the video and if you are comfortable to do it than do it because you know what is involved. If not then you can look at other options. I appreciate your feedback, it makes my day when I can help someone.

    Very helpful as I took this thing apart and cleaned parts as you suggested. Mop is spraying again. Just as @Alex suggested, needed to get two more screws under the cartridge out to take the cover off. Otherwise all good.

    @Rudolf - Thanks for the tips and instructions. Taking apart without breaking anything is often the hardest thing! I'm pleased to report that 'Tina' is now happily squirting and mopping again :) My problem was not actually a blocked pipe or nozzle, but the rubber seal and filter below the tank were not seated properly into the housing and therefore the pump could not 'draw' from the tank. And @GeeFoo, yes this could impact the warranty (if iRobot could figure out that the machine had been opened up), but 60 minutes tinkering vs a month of packing, posting, repairs and return for a relatively simple fix? I know what I will be doing next time, and the time after that etc. etc.

      I think this is my problem. Day 1 brand new, no pressure no jet spray... just dribbles. I appreciate the help in the video, but why did they design a deep into a repair like this when it is bound to reoccur in the life of the robot? This should be a user disposable and replace part. I've pushed it down hard and adjusted the rubber and I'll see if that solves it. If you see this and can recommend a solution it will keep me from taking it back to the store. Thanks though!

    I wish you had shown the inside of the front cover. Our camera cover / nozzle hood has fallen out, and they want to send a warranty replacement of the whole mop. Suspect the black ir viewplate / nozzle cover just snaps in. The clips on one edge appear to be broken off. But sending me a new cover, R&R 4 screws would be easier IMO than packing and shipping the mop. Assuming they pay from return, still an unknown. Trivia for today.

      @Rudyworld  2 года назад

      I wish there was a way to see this. When you say the inside of the front cover, are you talking about the white top piece? I did have one of the bump censors pop out on me. More detail please, I'd like to help.

    Hi Rudolf, congrats it’s a great video 👍🏻, I purchased this M6 mop for mom’s birthday worked perfectly for 3 times however after that appears a red circle on the top and says error # 68 cámara problem I purchased in USA and sent it to Central America. I don’t know what to do now should I put it on garbage or I can fix it? I really don’t know what to do now. Thanks for those great videos

    • @Rudyworld

      This appears to be a camera fault. For this I would recommend a lint free cloth and wipe down the camera region. I would also let the unit completely discharge or remove the battery and then plug it back and see what you get.

    Did cleaning out the nozzle work? I noticed there is some more tubing to the peristaltic pump, so if some of the "other cleaners" are still in the other tubing couldn't this get dislodged later and then re-gum-up the nozzle? I am cleaning one out now, and am thinking of re-assembling it but without the nozzle, so I can run some water through it to dislodge anything that may still be in the system before replacing the nozzle.

      Some of those hoses do come off but, they are pretty fagile so you really have to be careful not to crack them.

    Hi Rudolf,
    The nozzle of my Braava M6 is not spraying.
    So I started, grateful for your video 😀😀, taking the M6 apart.
    I get stucked when trying to remove the cover (at 4.40min.) in your video.
    Already I removed al the screws on the bottem.
    Is there anything I overlooked or did wrong?
    Hope you read my comment in due course and come back to me.
    Thank you very much in advance for your effort and time🙂!
    Kind regards,
    Ruud

      Open the door, remove the tank, and at the bottom of the tank is a filter that should come right out. I would start with that, I would put a stopper in the sink and if you have a sprayers clean out that filter.

    Is there a w ay to check the nozzel to see if it is clogged, I soaked mine in vinegar for a few days I sure cant tell if this nozzel is clogged or not still
    I was checking the pump and i rounded off the small screw, is there any way to buy a new screw for the pump (center one)

    • @Rudyworld
      @Rudyworld  2 года назад

      If you are talking about the hose, then yes but, use caution since the older they get the more fragile they get. You can try a very thin but coat hanger wire or a piece of safety wire. It looks like calcium or other minerals are causing problems with these.

    Hi Rudolph, M6 was working ok and suddenly stopped....I let charged for 5h and I get clean button blinking...it the 3rd time I use it...bought it a year ago...there was water licking from tank and afraid has gone through electronic system...any thoughts?

    • @Rudyworld
      @Rudyworld  Год назад

      I can tell you that my version has the electronics pretty well sealed inside, where it could survive a small leak. I have not used mine in a while and had some issues the other day. It was acting weird I went in the app and did a reboot of the M6. Also make sure the clean button is not stuck, I show that in the video. Let me know how it goes.

      Köszönöm a megtekintést. A videóim a problémák megoldására készültek. Egyedül vagyok, támogatás vagy anyagi támogatás nélkül. Egy ilyen fényképezőgép megszerzése kihívást jelenthet, mert a bal jobb, a jobb pedig bal, mint egy tükör, de mivel nincs operatőröm, ellenőriznem kell, hogy a kamera azt mutatja-e, amit én akarok. Videókat készítek, hogy segítsek az embereknek, és ezt szabadidőmben csinálom, költség és haszon nélkül. Ahogy nekem is erőt kellett fordítanom a magyarra írt kommented fordítására, hogy válaszolhassak, úgy neked is meg kell nézned a videóimat, mert nincs forgatócsoportom, legalábbis még nem :) Még egyszer köszönöm nézni.

    Can you say if it's normal for the robot to not spray water if the tank is half-empty? The water level floating indicator is somewhat lying at the bottom in this case, but the water level is literally about a half of a tank volume, and also there's no "fill the tank" error/warning from the robot. But the robot can just spray no water in this case, I wondered if maybe it's similar to your described problem, but then I made a tank full of water again and it started to properly spray water right away. But I wonder if it's normal, because the remaining water volume, if used in full, could probably last entire home cleaning, that's why I think this might not be normal, but I can't even imagine a reason of why this could happen

    • @Rudyworld
      @Rudyworld  2 года назад

      Does the color of the light ring change from white to red when the tank is half full? Mine does not completely empty but it is close.

    • @vmz1231
      @vmz1231 2 года назад

      @@Rudyworld no, all is normal, I did experience "fill the tank" errors before, and it was showing red light, but in this case it is all normal except that the water is not sprayed. I think mine also emptied almost completely before, actually I wouldn't get almost empty tank and "fill the tank" errors otherwise. So I guess something is wrong here, but can't figure what exactly. Probably I should disassemble and clean it then (also I got it 3-4 months ago, and used about once a week or less, so it's also quite a fast-appearing problem)

    • @vmz1231
      @vmz1231 2 года назад

      @@Rudyworld So I tested it further:
      - it can sporadically spray or not in described circumstances
      - the filter was clean
      - when I re-installed a tank multiple times it started to throw “fill the tank” error
      - re-installing a tank could solve the error, until it doesn’t
      - re-filling a tank immediately resolves spraying issue
      - the floating sensor in a tank is somewhat at the bottom long before the water level is close to empty, maybe I’m mistaken but this could mean this state is indistinguishable from the actually empty tank because sensor is at the bottom in both cases
      - if the issue would be with something getting dirty it wouldn’t spray at all and wouldn't depend on the tank fullness
      All in all, I’m confused with this, because I'm sure it emptied a tank a lot more earlier (though I might be terribly wrong, maybe I should make a photos of the problematic water level)

    • @vmz1231
      @vmz1231 2 года назад

      @@Rudyworld is this close to the "empty" water level at your m6? imgur.com/a/yR604kw (sensor is still afloat a little)
      I guess it's close, so the main problem is that m6 can pretend it's not empty and "clean" the whole area without spraying

    • @vmz1231
      @vmz1231 2 года назад

      Nah... I think it was a filter, or something with it. "Cleaned" and reinstalled it (it was supposedly clean as the water didn't stay in it) - after this the tank was emptied just almost completely... Not sure how I managed to "clean" it though, I just ran a water through (as well as the first time when it didn't work), and confirmed the water doesn't hold in it

      I was looking at that, I don't have a video on this but it seems like you could try swapping it out. As far as spare parts you may be able to request that from the manufacturer or buy a broken on ebay. My channel is all about fixing stuff. I have fixed a lot of things with some pretty simple solutions. The only thing that you have to be prepared for is possibly is making it worse. I say assume the risk and give it a try.

      @Rudyworld  3 года назад +9

      I support calling iRobot but their warranty is currently 1 year. After that you are on your own. Nothing shown here, if done properly will void anything, no seals or stickers to break. If you feel uncomfortable doing the repair take it to an authorized repair center or iRobot. This is a very simple and effective repair.
