We take waffles seriously in our house ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUfphIgghPSpAXNq6OG2WRYsFVqylcqMn and worked our old one through many years of Sunday brunches till it finally gave out on us. Our old one only made two at a time, this one makes four! Nicely sized 1 inch thick which are lovely! Now the kids don't have to wait as long to eat our weekly waffle breakfast and everyone's are hot if we wait and eat all together! Setting 3 seems to work perfect for golden brown. Be sure to pour the batter in the center of each waffle square, not the center of the iron like the novice that posted the scorched waffles photo. About a 1/4 to 1/3 cup of batter in each seemed to work well for us. We tested making just one at a time so we could use all the remaining batter and it made it just as fluffy and golden as when we made 4!
Made these this morning. Eating them now :) some things I changed: I’m GF so I used a mixture of buckwheat and oat flour (it’s what I had, you could prob use others), 1tsp of baking soda and I added a few pinches of salt, and almond milk. I also didn’t add the honey, used 1TBS of protein power instead which is sweet so...didn’t need the honey. Oh! I also added an egg at the end...it seemed too thick to me...prob the GF flours?? It’s yummy! Thanks!!
hello, i'm extremely noob at cooking in general, can the batter be refrigerated once made? i'm thinking making some for today, then storing away some for the week to come, or does the egg part need to be mixed the day of?
You can refrigerate the waffle batter once made. Just store it in a covered container and use it within 2 or 3 days. Also, it may separate a bit so make sure to stir or whisk it together before using it.
I haven't tried it myself, but I think you should be able to. I have seen a lot of recipes for pancakes that use oat flour, so I think it would be ok to use it for waffles too. 😊
Ooooh...you have to give it a try! You get the same nutty whole wheat flavor with the healthy benefits but it makes baked goods fluffy and lighter than with regular whole wheat flour. I love using it in my whole wheat banana nut muffins. So delicious! I use Bob's Red Mill brand.
Dose anyone know how many calories are in this recipe?

Mine took like 20 minutes to be done 🤔 and only 4 waffles but the first 2 I had to throw them because they were really flappy... don't know what I did wrong 😅
I like how there’s not talking , nothing extra . Just quick and straight to the point !
Love this recipe, finally one with whole wheat flour and without oil. Can’t wait to try.
I substituted milk with plant milk and honey with maple syrup.
I made these for my very picky tween this morning as we’re trying to eat healthier and she really enjoyed it. 👍
@Taylor Malik clearly your were the being hacked 😂
;)

thanks!
Won’t the bananas become dark and slimy?
OKAY THESE ARE GOOOD but the mixture makes 2-3 but not a problem tho. I recommend this recipe 100%
Instead of whole wheat flour can I use oat flour
Could these waffles be made with oat flour instead of wheat ?
I haven't tried it myself, but I think you should be able to. I have seen a lot of recipes for pancakes that use oat flour, so I think it would be ok to use it for waffles too. 😊
Can I use water instead of milk??
Looks delicious! Have you ever made this recipe using whole wheat Pastry Flour?
I haven't tried that yet actually, just used regular whole wheat flour. ☺

can I use almond flour instead of whole grain?
Late but you can sub any flour for it
What are the calories per serving please? I really want to try these but i need to track my calories😞
Love your music and presentation 💕
Simple and tasty. . Thanks 😘
Lovely ❤❤
Tried these, unfortunately the mixture only makes 3 waffles for me, but they turn out perfect every-time and are delicious!!
They are nit getting crispy , what to add?
Late reply but try adding some oil or butter for it to get a more crispy texture
its healthy n yummy, thanku for the recipe😍👍
Wow..they are delicious. Made them and they are amazing. Thank for the recepe.
Could you use this batter for pancakes?
You can use it for pancakes, but they just might not rise as much as others since they don't have baking powder.
The Sweetest Journey you did add half a tsp of baking powder.
When I tried them in a waffle iron(I sprayed it before putting the waffle in) well it wanted to stick real bad.
It was a disaster.
Love your channel and videos best part is the clarity and background sound of kitchen equipment 👌🏻👍🏻❤️
Thank you so much! 😊

No egg?

I just made the most delicious breakfast waffles in my What I Eat In Day video!!! Soo good!!! 💓
I liked the recipe but I'll replace for oatmeal flour and use soya milk. I hope it will work out well 🤞🏾
How was it?
how was it
Thank you👌👍
whats the calorie in one waffle?
Looks 300 - 350
what part is the healthy one?
The part where it doesn't have tons of sugar.
If you want a naturally sweet flavor make sure your bananas are overly ripe.
If you want something really healthy just eat a piece of fruit and stop looking for waffle recipes.
Great recipe although they tasted a little too much like banana, I smothered them with penut butter and date syrup 😁
very late answer but you could probably sub the banana for egg or another substitute :)
Swaine how many eggs
What is the dry ingredients
Maybe the milk? Oh no, that's wet... let me think 🤔 the flour and the baking powder of course!! They're dry aren't they? 😁
Nice garnishing with glass.
Wow 🤩
One suggestion.. Please add a pinch of salt
I made these but added and subbed a few things but wow these are amazing with honey and blueberriess❤❤❤❤
What do you mean with " add dry ingredients"??? Why did you add exactly in that part of the video?
Santiago RUclips the wheat flour and baking powder
Aashna Belur Thank you.
Mine stuck to the waffle maker and so I turned them into pancakes
Shannon Jones i had the same problem🤣
Anybody tried this but using Coconut flour?
Added a few chocolate chips in there and my toddler crushed his waffles😊
mabey I just made these wrong but mine were disgusting and I threw it out
Yum!!
This recipe doesn’t call for eggs? Want to make sure before I try.
No, the bananas are used as a binder and to add moisture, which makes them a good replacement for eggs. 😊
The Sweetest Journey thank you so much. I’ll make them this weekend.
Banana should already be your sweetness.....maybe vanilla. Because, you will "still" drizzle them with Pancake syrup or Honey!
Thank you
What do you mean by*Dry* *Ingredients*?
The flour and baking powder mixture are the dry ingredients.
I made this recipe and it turned out horrible. It wanted to stick.
It looked like it would be delicious.
No eggs. What the what?
You forgot the egg

Everything was healthy until you smeared butter on jt.
Butter isn't unhealthy. Fat isn't unhealthy.
A little bit of butter is healthy.
