- Let's discuss the 'pros and cons'. I am 'sick and tired' of this. The decision is 'black and white'. I'm looking forward to some 'peace and quiet'. These sentences all include binomials which are a type of collocation in English. Understanding and using binomials will help you to improve your English.
An excellent way to improve your English fluency is with collocations. Collocations are set phrases of words that always go together in a particular order and create a specific meaning that sounds natural to native speakers. Binomials are collocations that are made of two words joined together with a conjunction. The 15 binomial pairs in this lesson are all using the conjunction 'And'.
Binomial Pairs using 'And' that are taught in this lesson include:
1. Black and White
2. Loud and Clear
3. Safe and Sound
4. Sick and Tired
5. Pros and Cons
6. Far and Wide
7. Neat and Tidy
8. Wear and Tear
9. Short and Sweet
10. Now and Then
11. By and Large
12. Wine and Dine
13. Out and About
14. Peace and Quiet
15. Wait and See
Bonuses: Salt and Pepper. Rock and Roll.
By the end of today’s English lesson you will have learned fifteen common expressions using 'and'. I hope these binomials will be useful for you as you improve your English fluency!

My answer: I like to be out and about when I travel. I want to explore new places. I can think of several pros and cons of travelling, but let me know what you think. ;)

When I am on vacation I like to be out and about and seeing all the sights for whatever city or country I am visiting to learn about different cultures etc. I think that is a pro. For me a con would be visiting another country and just sitting in the sun etc. to get peace and quiet when you can do this at home.

The pros and cons of going on vacation ? Well, I think the cons of going on vaction are that you can relax after working hard at the office, you can also enjoy quality time with your family.Life is too short, and you need to see other places and do other activities if you want to be healthy. The cons are that you spend a lot of money. Nobody likes to be broke afer having fun.Sometimes you can also find bad experiences during your vacation like going to a hotel where they don't give a good service.That's what I can say just to keep it short and sweet.
I agree, the potential to spend too much money is definitely a con of travelling, while getting to relax and spend quality time with friends or family is a big pro. 😀
