Great conversation - lot's of wisdom from the retired old guys ;)
I have a couple of comments - there seems to be unicorn-like rainbow cast over "The Family." We seem to think that The Family is where the ball can either get dropped, or taken in for the goal. I don't think the family is as well equipped as we would like it to be - it actually cannot be relied upon as the foundation of all things good.
Sure, the four of you are strong family men, but let's not forget that SO MANY families are comprised of not-so-strong people, not so informed people, not so capable people. IMHO, the family unit of the 50's is an illusion today. Just because two people get together to make babies does NOT qualify them to be good parents...but The Family they become. So, all the garbage (flaws-maybe even mental heath flaws) that unqualified people bring to the unit are not suddenly addressed because of children. Those children have become the product of ill equipped parents, and the problems of life compound. Mentally unhealthy folks get together to make even more mentally unhealthy folks - no law against that... The subsequent mental health issues got pushed onto the teachers who are, for sure, better equipped/educated, but are understandably overwhelmed. Enter The Pharmacists - they are in the business of prescribing life long treatments. Tax THEM!
Dom seems to be one tough hombre, able to overcome challenges and obstacles, but he is exceptional, not the norm. We should all have his iron gut and can-do attitude. Sometimes little Timmy needs to be told to shake it off so that he can develop an internal survival strategy as opposed to being coddled and victimized/validated.
We certainly have catered to people's struggles, but many people take advantage of the unnecessary catering. The herd is weaker now, and we all know what happens to a weak herd.
Hey - You guys didn't talk about diet. All that sugar and wheat, all that processed food that we are force fed... for sure it has a chemical effect on the brain and it's development, no?

I’ve never seen so many young people on anxiety pills 💊 society has become so competitive some people just can’t compete.

Aki has a point .Healthcare workers are doing long hours and are under more stress than most other professions .His hands were in check until the last minute and a half then all hell broke loose.Lol
