    All that line he had out on the Stihl and it still kept up with echo no problem, love these “unbiased” reviews done by these echo guys.

      Seeing a pro go out without work gloves on and low top tennis shoes? Hmmm. Let alone hauling the gear around in Jeep Cherokee..... Definitely makes ya wonder what's really going on here. :)

      Yeah you got to run the guard or trim it to length every time and if you're running .105 it bogs it down too. I was running my Stihl fs70r with no guard and so much line hanging out it slowed it way down. It does make it a little heavier, but it still whip shit hard enough to drop you even if it hits you in the knee... run a guard. It was cutting like crap cuz he wasn't up on the pipe due to weight of line. Now I'm just repeating myself.

    I put echo speed feed heads on my stihl trimmers. Best head on the market for sure.

    Bought two echos in 8 days the 225 and 3020T. After less than a tank of gas in each I hate em both. The 225 barely cut stuff that had been trimmed a week to 10 days ago. Comparing the 3020T to stihl 131 both $490 plus tax the stihl is as strong or stronger & noticeably lighter. The echo also has a big gap in the trimmer head where tall thick grass likes to wrap up and stop the head until cleaned out. Stihl has no gap more time working not being worked on That’s my experience

    21cc vs 27cc pretty good comparison if you ask me. 25.4cc echo 2620 or a shindiawa t262 will eat that stihl for lunch.

    A better comparison would be the 2620t vs the 94r i absolutely love both trimmers. The 94r makes that 70r look like a cheap crap quality trimmer easily. I would never even touch the 70r I hate the way it looks, it’s bulky as hell. I mainly stick with echo because their models are a basic simple designs that are well balanced and just look absolutely good looking appearance wise. But when I say basic I mean you have access to anything on that power head easily without having to tear into layers of plastics Just to replace a part of it breaks. The carb choke is a simple design, no bullshit springs to worry about like the stihl has with the fancy choke return feature. I have 6 echo models and honestly they last so long that I’m still on my grey model srm 210. I haven’t even broken in the 225 2620 or 266 that’s how durable echo trimmers are. You can beat on the damn thing and it’ll last you 15 years

    I think I am going to get echo 2320t tomorrow, ( i saw echo 225 , but i think 2320t weighs less) never had echo before.

      They r both the exact same trimmer, the only different is the gearbox. The 2320t has a better higher touché gear ratio compared to the 225.

    • @WisconsinEric
      @WisconsinEric 5 месяцев назад

      @@bobbystewart2605 2320T has a chrome plated cylinder and piston and the 225 does not. The 2320T has one more ball bearing on the gear head and one more bearing near the clutch than the 225. Different part number for the carb too.

      @bobbystewart2605 definitely not the exact same trimmer, refer to the other guys comment. Also if The gearhead was the only difference it wouldn't cost $100 more than the 225

    Clearly I can see the stihl doesn't have to rev as high to cut through that brush. Out of my experience with both the echos are cheaper to purchase, feel cheaper in quality and have to rev higher to achieve the same results. I'll pay more and stick with stihl

  • @willharvey7944
    @willharvey7944 Год назад

    The handle is a lie and can make handling uncomfortable and awkward. Hold the shaft instead and sway from right to left to match the rotation. The cutter on the guard keeps the string at optimal length so that it cuts at greater efficiency. When the string gets too long it bogs down the performance of any trimmer. My personal opinion is that I would choose the stihl fs 70 especially for lawn maintenance. Heavier models should be used for thicker growth. Also the type of string and thickness also matters. Thicker string for thicker growth. You could also get more into the detail of head interchange ability as well. Both are quality. Still I prefer the stihl.

      @@Milfmilker-gd6gm The guard was designed for the operators protection and maintaining the correct line length. Operating the line so long kills the clutch and the drive linkage. The engine needs to turn run high rpms in order for the engines flywheel which cools the engine also.
