I’m 15 and I have all echo equipment, and OMG the starting capability on these are amazing. The 2620t is a monster Love Echo
All my equipment is stihl and echo. Got a echo 9010t backpack blower and a 501 and 620 chainsaw ( both ported). Got stihl km130, km 56 kombi and bg 86 blower vac. All of my equipment has been excellent! I run the Echo red armor oil in all of them. Had issues with the stihl ultra clogging the spark arrestor on some equipment. Never a problem since switching to echo oil
Best comparison test I've seen. I appreciate all the information and your honest opinion. Seems like so many reviewers hedge their honesty as they really don't want to say anything negative about any product.
*This test would be more fair with the srm3020 VS FS 131r. The 131r cost $419 and will smoke the 3020 when it comes to torque. I use my 131 kombi with pole saw and 2 extension poles, cultivator, bed redefiner, articulating hedge trimmer with 2 extension poles, etc and this 131 never bogs down or runs out of power. It's a beast and the valves are also easy to adjust yourself.*
Yep, you are correct. I got the 2016 FS130 & it only comes out for $300+ jobs. But do alot with my 2012 Tanaka Tcg27easpsl. I put a blade on it & chews everything just a few seconds slow then the Stihl FS130. The Tanaka plastic is crap though
Husky 430LS would smoke your 131
@@JenkinsMowing86 *I have the Husqvarna 535LS as well.*
@@bigtexas7580 nice. Have not used a 535 yet. 525LST and the 430 are awesome every day use trimmers though
@@JenkinsMowing86 Yessir.
2stroke 4stroke are way different engines not comparable. Thanks clearing up the 111 is a 4 stroke and I would not be interested in it
Sthil has very good resale value over all of the other brands. Echo is very good quality made products. The thing I notice what's used in commercial applications is sthil products.
The Stihl only has 1 string. The Echo has 2. If you know anything about CSF (constant surface feed), the 2 string trimmer will cut with less cutting pressure than a 1 string. The Stihl was quieter than the Echo. If they are the same price......I will buy the Echo.
Both have 2 strings bud, one on each side of the head, he was just showing how to load the spool, he didn't load the top side only the bottom of the spool. Google it, I know by experience.
I prefer Echo, have both and Echo is easier to start than Stihl and its head cuts much better than Stihl.
I'm actually looking at your review because I cannot get my sthil start after hot. Its been into the repair shop too many times. And it's a brand new fs94r 2020
Get the Echo just for the warranty. 1 of my dealerships put all my stuff under consumer since I been dealing with him 9yrs
i have the same issue wuth mine, im done with stihl going to echo
Take the exhaust apart and clean the screen
@@letsgo243 screen was removed even though it was new. New fuel, fuel line, filter, coil, flywheel, plug.
94r vapor locks really easily in 90°+ temps.....that being said I crack open the fuel cap to relieve the pressure and pull it once or twice, usually solves it not starting
The Stihl 111 was struggling the Echo sounds way better and wasn't stuggling echo is the way to go way less maint and longevity echo wins here in south FL echos outlast our Stihl 4mix trimmers any day.
I had an echo once and it was expensive, the "struggling" was purely how the 4-mixes sound
Echo is crap, but it's a matter of opinion
@@therandomman6647 Yeah that's why echo in front come on don't full yourself Stihl 4mix are garbage after 2 years there throw aways.
@@victorrippe5845man, you are really bad at maintaining lawn equipment
@@therandomman6647 Nope wrong again ive been a Mechanic for over 30 years and i know for sure what im talking about Echos internals are superior to Stihls internals any day.
Thanks for your sharing
Stihl trimmers are notorious for clutch problems. Their clutches are crap. Way too weak for such an expensive piece of equipment. Echo/Shindaiwa has had no clutch issues and no gear issues. Husqvarna has gear head issues. Echo/Shindaiwa make the best trimmers that last and have the best performance. And yes, I've ran them all and worked on them all. Echo/Shindaiwa is the best of the 3. If you're one that takes the guard off, you can forget about buying a Stihl or Husqvarna. No guard destroys their clutch and gear head. No guard doesn't hurt the Echo/Shindaiwa trimmers at all.
I have that same echo, i like it but its hard on the back! A little heavy and shaft could use an extra inch or 2 because im tall and I think its a little short. Love the power of it! I would not buy another, my favorite trimmer is a husky 223 from lowes.
Check out Darwin grip
You still need a tool to remove the echo spark plug so what’s your point on that.
Why did you use a D-handle instead of a U-one? D-handle is not very suitable for large areas like those at 10:38
I’ve never used an Echo before
These are two of the best trimmers on the market. You can't go wrong with either one. It comes down to personal preference. Mine is Echo.
💀 stihl isnt horrible but Echo is garbage. Ive been told repeatedly that Echo is is considered the disposable brand of the trimmer market
@@TuMadre-q6l You were not told correctly
I think stihl is better hands down used both old and new of both brands.
The redmax BCZ260TS is the trimmer to beat
Definitely would like to try one, I use to run echo, I run echos twin shindaiwa.
Sounds like Stihl is struggling in the weeds or just way quieter.
Echo kicked stihls butt
Neither!! Maruyama.
Starts and pegs it. Too funny
This is painfully biased, like look at the name of his channel
Proof is un the pudding, the echo has a 20in swath stihl is only a 16.5in swath 😂 the stihl is a turd, echo is zero maintenance, stihl have to adjust the valves at 100hrs, stihl engine is a Lil bigger and still like a 60 year old whore tired, sluggish and sloppy😅, jk man honestly dealer support and preferences are what counts. Have a great season buddy
I have the stihl I wouldnt trade for the echo to me the echo is underpowered my buddy has one they last but not much power.but I do use red armor 2 cycle oil lol
echo wins
Neither Husqvarna
Srm 225 is better than those two.
Echo is a disposable brand. They are junk
Neither....Husqvarna makes the best trimmers.
