I really wish the big brands would stop pushing the battery units so hard. I really don't believe the battery units are at a level that they're comparable to gas units yet and the prices on them are still just ludicrous.

I have used an ego trimmer for a couple years now and I am a big fan. My only issue with it is that the string iq system releases more string automatically and at times the string is too short to use efficiently but it won’t release more yet. I wish there was a way to release it manually as well. Also we have an outlet in the bed of the truck we use to charge the battery during any drive or down time between houses so if you don’t have a way to charge on the go this may be an issue for you. However, the battery does last a long time even without being charged but likely would die if you have a full day of mowings.

The battery powered weed eater 's don't hold their charge very good,I will stick with the gas ones.

I just bought a Shindaiwa T-302X. It is blade ready. Has a shoulder strap.
A little heavy, but extremely powerful and beefy. Makes quick work of everything but the super tough stuff.
There, is where the blade comes in.

The Echo 2620 and Shindaiwa 262 are exactly the same if you take the guard off. The 3" difference in cutting swath magically disappears for some reason

Truth be told all these trimmers are good ! Pick the one that feels best in your hands ! The bigest factor of how long they will last is how well they are taken care of !! And good quantity OIL ! I have 2 Shindaiwa trimmers a T-230 & T- 231. Both are over 25 years old with insane amounts of hours and both run perfect to this day ! Some day I would like to try a RedMax !

Shindaiwa t262 ftw every time.. i personally own the shindy c262 (u-shaped handle) and it is the most reliable, best running trimmer/brush cutter ive ever used

    Shindawa 💯
    Same engines as Echo
    Wider cutting swath
    Lighter weight on average
The ergonomics are way better with their triggers

I would also suggest the redmax bcz260s which has the non torque head. I feel it gives a cleaner cut with the higher rpm’s that the head can spin at.

New to the channel here, but I love your video. Thanks. Helped me decide for the Echo, which is popular here in France.

I was a big Echo user until they were asked to honour a warranty and refused. That marked my last Echo purchase.

I'm not a landscaper, don't plan on being one, and honestly, don't want to be one. But I'll be damned if this guy had me wanting to spend $400 on a trimmer when i was going to spend half of that. Nice video and good job, now go sell some ice to the Eskimo's (can i still say that in 2024?)

I currently use the 262 shindaiwa. What did you like about the 260ts that made you pick it above the 262?

He said he excluded shindaiwa from his pick because his personal trimmer is a shindaiwa

How long do the batteries are warranty, 10 years?
If not, forget it, gas is much better ❤

Everyone needs to get the weight down to match husqvarna and redmax

Spend the $ and get a shindaiwa first to start and last to quit😊

1440 dollars for a string trimmer when you are just starting out I think is the wrong answer

Those stihls are very very dependible and great trimmers. But they are so unbalanced and just want to twist belly up in the hand.
