  • The Echo SRM-2620 and the Shindaiwa T262 are extremely similar but there are few subtle differences that might make a world of difference to your string trimming flow. Ergonomically one of these is a clear winner.

    Wish I'd watched this yesterday before buying this junk Echo 2620. I've used shindawia 242 for years.. stupid for thinking I could upgrade. I'm taking the echo back to home depot as you read this. Your review of the handles is SPOT ON! My exact experience. I've used every brand of weedeater out there.. $100-$400.. Shindawia is BY FAR #1.. Stihl is #2

      Echo and Shindaiwa are the same company just a little different handles and ect

    • @RockyTopSplash
      @RockyTopSplash День назад

      @jonathansouliere8321 may be owned by the same company... but if you've ever worked in manufacturing... you'd know that 2 products from same company doesn't make them the same. Shindawia is still a way better weedeater than echo. I've used every brand

    Shindaiwa has always been more ergonomic than most others. The "Old School" Shindaiwa (made in Japan) was considered the best you can buy. The added expense got you reliability and engineering and design/serviceability that Shindaiwa was able to build it's reputation for "The First to start, The Last to quit!" Stihl could never say that. Parts are still available for the old Shindaiwa units unlike the RedMax brand .

      I'd also like to add the Shindaiwa edger design is far superior to the Stihl or Echo. I'm in Florida dealing with the Floratam variety of St. Augustine grass. I can lay down the sweetest, fine, deeply clean, edger lines made anywhere. Stihl can't begin to compare! I use a Shindaiwa LE261 model edger.

    As an owner of a PAS2620 and T302, I’m thinking the opposite. I’ve actually put the echo throttle control unit on my 302, because I find it more comfortable 😂. Also, the way echo tuck its wires with the metal bracket keeps them from snagging stuff in the back of my truck. Personal preference, I love my 302, any time I’m looking to buy a trimmer, it’ll probably be a Shindaiwa. Much love from Barbados, my brother! Hopefully one day you can take a vacation here!

    I’ve owned 2 shindiawas since 1990. I live on an acre and spend roughly 2 hours trimming each cut. Reliability and value is more important to me . Also my Shindiawa is balanced evenly. So following terrain contours is effortless. Again, 2 units in 34 years. ❤ Shindiawa !!!

      Nice choice, they are basically the same but the shindaiwa has a true straight shaft compared to the echo flex shaft. Echo dropped the ball on this one as it can come with certain vibration from the flex shaft.

      Shindaiwa-USA suggests the speedfeed 400 for under 25cc & the 500 for over 25cc. The Pre 2007 Shindaiwa (before Echo bought & ruined them) are the best ones. I still buy old ones of I find em in great condition used. They no longer promote “First to start last to quit” If I had to buy new today I’d buy A Maruyama. They have M-twist (same loading method as speedfeed).

    I kinda hate that they buy up a company and start releasing almost the same equipment between the brands the old shindaiwas before echo bought them were the best trimmers ever made in my opinion I still use my old shindaiwa t230 from 1998 (best trimmer ever made) now shindaiwa is just slightly upgraded more expensive echo trimmers
