I would like to THANK YOU sincerely for your post today. I had made a sample block for a quilt that I am working on and after I was feeling good about my accomplishment, I realized that 2 of the 1/2 square triangles are facing the wrong direction. I have been debating on taking it all apart and fixing it or just make the rest of the blocks the same as my sample block. No one else is going to know, so I decided to just leave it alone and just keep going. Thank you for the encouragement.🧵🪡📍

I actually really like the buttons going in this direction! Thanks for "keeping it real" for us! Mistakes happen, and sometimes, they are really no big deal!

I bet about 1/2 the time, you can let the mistake go and keep on sewing...sometimes they just aren't that important. =)

The best lesson I’ve learned sewing those tiny pieces, is that I still need to be exact with my 1/4” seams. When I first made tiny blocks, I thought I should make tinier seam allowances. Nope. Best results came with a 1/4” seam. So I dove in and made your snowman as you designed him, and he’s adorable!!!

So looking forward to this next block. Love these sew alongs and go back for reference if need be. I watched this through before starting. I see both versions of your snowman adorable and no one would ever care! Thanks for your honesty

I was surprised it was already time for the snowman video! I decided to jump ahead and finished mine this morning. Then I saw your video had been posted! It scared me for a minute because my immediate thought was, "oh, no! I did the buttons upside-down!" I looked at my book and realized I had followed the pattern correctly afterall. Haha! Your snowman looks fine with your unintended pattern adjustments! It was such a fun block to make and went together perfectly. Thank you for this wonderful quilt pattern! I am sorry for such a long comment, but I do want to tell you your tips on stitch and flip corners during your `O Happy Day QAL were so helpful along with your recommendation of the June Taylor ruler and the pressing bar. I use those all the time and my accuracy has improved significantly. Thank you, Corey!

Ha!...your block is perfect. =) As you heard me say in the video, I debated about re-doing my block (and even went as far as starting to seam rip) but then just decided to leave it be. =)
I'm so happy some of the suggestions I've made in other quilt alongs have been helpful for you! You know I love my June Taylor ruler! And the pressing bar for those open seams really speeds things up!

This is a cute block. I am always looking for blocks that would be cute as a small wall hanging, and this would be adorable as a wall hanging. I like the buttons going the “wrong” way. He looks like he is all dressed up for a holiday party wearing a tie and top hat.

Love your snowman. Quilters (piecers?) choice on which way the star spins & the buttons go. I think it was Angela Walters who said, once is a mistake, more than once is a design choice. Or an unintended customization. Looks like it's going to be such a cozy cuddle-worthy quilt

If purchased do you sell them or where can they be purchased.
