Thank you so much for another cute scrappy block and the bunny is adorable. After looking on your blog at all of the blocks you have already designed I had a thought that it would be fun to have a block that represents each month of the year then set them in one quilt top.
I am part of an on-line quilt circle /guild, and we are considering using the Joyful pattern for a quilt along. I think my plan is to sew it using your Starberry line. (I am in love with this new line).

The bunny is super cute! I like making these in sets of four for my seasonal kitchen wall hangings and then a fifth one for a pillow for my office. My shamrock is hanging up now. 😊 Also, love today’s shirt - your daughter is very creative!

The Peachy Keen and Sunwashed renditions speak to me. I also have to mention that I FINALLY finished my Barn Star Sampler quilt, made with Sunwashed and Simply Delightful. I’ll soon be dropping it off to my longarm quilter. When I get it back, I’ll send you a picture. It is so beautiful! Huge project, but worth all the work.

Cute bunny & excited about the teaser for another scrappy block! Sadly, my stash is seriously lacking low volumes as they are not something I'm usually drawn to. I've been adding more as my fabric budget allows. For now, I'm just collecting the patterns for the scrappy blocks & plan to make a sampler quilt when I have a better variety of low volume fabric.
They aren't as "splashy" as some of the other fabrics, are they?
@CorianderQuilts no, they sure aren't! I've always been drawn to the white on white fabrics for backgrounds (yay for Coriander Seeds!!). They are wonderful but a bit more variety for these blocks is called for I think.

@@marcyhenri1177 For the scrappy flag and the scrappy snowflake, I used all white on whites for those backgrounds. But, for some of them, it's fun to add a bit more color.
When I do stitch and flip units, I sew another line 3/8 to 1/2 inch from my stitch line so that I get a half square triangle. Then I take those and make pinwheel blocks that then make a scrappy quilt.
This is such a great tip! =) I didn't mention that in this video as our stitch and flips on this particular block are too small to do that. But for larger stitch & flips it's such a great way to avoid creating more scraps.

Have you tried sewing one of each of your scrappy blocks together to make a seasonal quilt? Would that work with your free block patterns? Maybe one block for each month of the year for a total of 12 blocks? I wonder if it would need sashing between each block? Thanks so much for these scrappy patterns! I love them all!
No I haven't...I'm not sure what I will do with them or how many I will end up releasing! =) I am making them all in the same size (12" finished) so if you want to mix and match them, you can.
Wow what a creative family you have Cory! Your sister, daughter with tshirt designs ( have you got enough for a tshirt quilt?) Your husband running the cameras . My question is ; do your patterns give allowance for bigger quilts? People seem to want Queen size! Tyfs🩷
I don't have very many queen size quilt patterns. Most of my patterns can easily be made larger by adding additional blocks, borders, or a combination of both.

I love your Joy Filled quilt. You said it was a fat eighth pattern. Is there enough fabric if you like to starch? Thanks in advance!
When you look at the fat eighth cutting diagrams in the pattern, they are drawn to scale so you can see how much fabric you'd have left over. For block 2 you might need to adjust the cutting just a bit for the first F8. The other thing to consider would be how many fat eighths your bundle includes....the Buttercup & Slate F8 bundle includes 34 but some bundles include as many as 40.
I feel like I need "A Year of Scrapiness" quilt... with one scrappy block for each month of the year... we are close to that... June, and aug-nov are all that is needed! Any chance something like that is in the works? 😊

The two quilts on either side of Joy Filled are Apricot Jelly & Cakery. They are both linked in the description box below the video. The fabrics used in both of them are fabrics from my Coriander Colors line of fabric. When you say a quilt uses a fat eighth bundle, how many quarters are in a bundle for a quilt.
Fat Eighth bundles will vary in size depending on how many fabrics are in the fabric line. The Buttercup & Slate Fat Eighth bundle (the one used in this quilt) has 34 F8s. Fat eighths are half of a fat quarter.
Maybe the next scrappy pattern will be a carrot, to go with the bunny?
