Fantastic performance! I love youtube. Isnt it great how you can be sitting, bored, on a saturday afternoon, idly browsing away - and you suddenly come across something like this. Wow!! Straight into my favourites. :) Thanks for posting.
@pechorin1841 Right. Lyric bass-baritone. Some bass-baritones are baritones, some are basses. He is a bass/bass-baritone. A baritone/bass-baritone wouldn't have low Dbs. :D
Mid 30s and above.. And, if you've been "singing opera since the age of 4" and are now 12, forget it; you simply won't have any voice by the time you're 20, if not before. No reputatable teacher will begin the serious study of voice with anyone under the age of 15. Your body IS your instrument and it can't be abused, especially while still growing. Take it slowly. "Young Artists" in opera are those in their mid 20s to about 34, so there is plenty of time!
I've seen interviews with Netrebko and seriously.. not only can she not sing, but she pays 200$ for ripped jeans because it's "fashion." Just seems wayyyyy less serious about the music. Even if she's prettier on the outside, Diana always has more inner beauty :]
I melt when he is on the stage! Not only the best bass-baritone of our time, but also the best looking opera singer!
The best baritone of our days!!!!
i love that Cherubino is not badly humiliated in this version

Yeah, I'd say the range from 20s to 40s is the butter zone for when your voice is ready to perform.
cute Cherubino:))))
Let's hope!
Hm, maaaaybe I'll go to Milano for her recital... xDDDDDDDD
You can be as young as 15 years old, but that's provided you have a solid techinque and a spectacular voice. Usually the age is the early 20s to 30s.
You are welcome ^^
Grazie, amore xDDDD
@phantomunmasked No, it's Monica Bacelli.

Well, actually, vocal plenitude is from 35 to 45, but you definetely have to start before 20 :)
He is a bass-baritone. So he was technically right.
Perdono... xDDDDDD
Hm, yes. No, wait, Lucia will be Netrebko too...

Oh, well, yes, a high-school girl... Specially if you look at her skin without make-up xDDDDDDDD
