- A short map aiming to remake Entryway to be a bit less abstract, paired with a mod that reshades items and weapons while giving them a bit more shine. Simple and nice.

I love how many different interpretations of the vanilla pistol exist now. Its too iconic to replace completely, but it absolutely does not look like a real gun so something about it has to change. I like this one, I think it hits a perfect balance!
I prefer vanilla one still, my only problem with it is the proportions being off, but then, Doom is a sci-fi game so could just be a handgun from the future.
This one bothers me the same way most Brutal Doom pistol edits do, is very clear where the original sprite ends and the redrawn ones begins, is really jarring in my opinion, these redraws should try to stick to the fully black aesthetics more for consistency, but that's just my opinion, still a fine kit bashed sprite.
I think this one is also my favorite *full* set of reinterpreted pistol sprites too. I've seen some floating around that are quite lovely, but also incomplete or missing frames. This one is just right, keeps a nice balance of new and old.
i like how the weapons sway when you look side to side, and that punch is so much better than the default one
The swaying is a Nugget thing, but the weapons are from the mod. Nugget is my favorite port so I'm always happy to tell people to give it a try. :)
I wonder how different Doom would be if maps were remade from scratch (but still based on the same designs) to utilize all of the modern source port (such as GZDoom/VKDoom) features.
There's a lot of projects like that, but I dislike most of them on principle. They tend to be too focused on looking good instead of playing good.
Nice to see Doom map remakes, this map looks very good. Other good examples of map remakes are E1 MAP 01, Entryway Quakestyle, E1M1 Hell Revision, the John Romero's Phobos Mission Control and Tech Gone Bad, etc.

Remakes all of D2 faithful to the maps and textures, but it looks sooo good, and a bit tougher too. :V
Perhaps. Never been a fan of that style of mapping, it tends to get too caught up in bells and whistles and forgets how to actually be a good map.

Can i use this in my addon combo?
While this warrants an impulse no as I absolutely despise the term "addon combo" and other such non-words, I'm not the one who made the map or mod. You should ask Amaruq and Skelegant instead.
The gore nugget mod is compatible with other sourceports like crispy doom or retro doom?
If the port supports DEHextra, it can run this mod. I know Doom Retro supports it, not sure about Crispy.

Great looking map, but barely evokes a sense of Entryway.
It did for me. The layout is about the same except for a new room and changes to make it flow well - it's almost like the Caps of Mhaos version of Entryway.
