Hello, do you think it would help me with my condition? I have periodic limb movement disorder. the movements are involuntary mainly happen at night and are quite severe and keep me up for hours at night. Please advise.
I have dysautonomia which causes both tachycardia and gastroparesis. Is there a way to lower my hr without also slowing my digestion down more than it already is?? Im hoping a vns can help some of the dysauto issues but worried it could make some worse?
When is this all supposed to begin ? I just received a VNS bc apparently I am not responding to medication. I’ve had one for two days. I’m not expecting miracles but I sure don’t feel well. The magnet is on my wrist. And I do have the device inserted in my chest. I apparently developed epilepsy later in life and belong to an epileptic group. So many ppl have it removed bc they say it does not work . Anyway , as stated , I don’t feel good. My throat is fine. Is it normal ? I don’t want to call the neurologist. Is it turned up to high or something? I don’t understand it yet.
@jaiiunreveWrote that 6 months ago. 2 days after I got it. I was terrified. Now, I feel so much better. Panic certainly did set in though at the beginning. Took about one month to calm down
@@TDR85 Thanks for responding. I’ve had 2 bladder stones removed and the nephrologist is kind of baffled. Says women usually don’t get bladder stones. Researched and it did say zonisomide may contribute to stones. The VNS (inserted) has helped , however I’m still suffering from focal seizures. I see the neurologist in a few weeks and he will “turn it up” to the next setting , which frightens me. And , of course will order an EEG which loves and it will show nothing. I will show nothing. I will take your advice and do dipsticks to keep an eye on proteinuria. Ty for the info
I think you'd be better off chewing on plastic that's chewy..im.not a Doctor, but I almost asked the same question! In fact, some people have come up with something like I suggested, with the intention to build their jaw muscles so that they think.their face looks better! More guys than women seem.to be interested.
What’s your opinion on vagus nerve stimulation and Longcovid?
It can reduce proteinuria in nephrotic syndrome. I am doing it now and will do urine dip rest to track progress.
Thank you for such an informative presentation!
Are there any complications

Can you over stimulate the nerve by doing too many exercises?
Will chewing gum stimulate the vagus nerve like singing does? Would it be useful for Reflux?
