even if these Hamas bases were truly in all the buildings hit, you do not default to bombing a school if there is a shooter in it, it would be a insane scenario in any other country but since its in some third world area its somehow ok, this is clearly some low effort excuses they are using.
PS no shit the Palestinian civilians are going to be sympathetic towards Hamas when they are the only forces they feel represented by, its the same with rejected people finding belonging in extremist political groups because that group are the only ones expressing acknowledgement towards them. however, israel's official policy is to retaliate against all "terror attacks" with more severe responses, and then they firmly expect their enemies to be the ones to deescalate in literally every single engagement - somehow israel is the good guy and the enemy is the terrorist, even though israel chooses very intently to do more harm than the terrorists and to always be the ones escalating while the terrorists always are the ones deescalating. and I do mean always, israel considers any exchange of violence to be unfinished if that has not yet been achieved.

In that scenario an internal revolution is about as difficult as the job of the White Rose movement.
Hamas isn’t a political party, it’s not running a state and it’s not a religious cult either. In other words, it is an unholy alliance between mafia and religious wackos. As such it has complete control over the distribution of goods in Gaza. Those who do not work for Hamas live in abject squalor, being a member is basically a prerequesite to hold a job, with very few exceptions. Those who oppose Hamas die a violent death. The result is most people either work for or with Hamas and no one is willing to oppose them, it’s too dangerous and spies are everywhere.

Religious organizations are all agents of Hamas and there isn’t a whole lot other ways for people down there to organize. Gazans cannot be counted upon to revolt. Even if they earnest desire is to overthrow Hamas and finally have a chance to live a life worth living, they genuinely can’t do it. Hamas has all the guns and plenty of thugs to enforce their will. Protests, riots, peaceful demonstrations just get you raped, mutilated and killed - not necessarily in that order, but you’ll get all three, don’t worry.
The only way Hamas can be defeated is if the international community finally starts treating it for what it is: a crime syndicate with religious backing, cosplaying a state. But it is a crime syndicate first and foremost, it always has been. Their leaders aren’t beyond our reach. certainly israel is not thinking of occupying gaza like they occupy the west bank, it's thinking of the golan heights - where it expelled 95% of the population and eventually officially annexed the territory. the US is now the only country recognizing the annexation, another move like title 42 and the afghanistan handover undertaken by trump and not reversed by biden.

@@d.7611so back during the six day war Israel attacked a U.S. spy ship named the U.S.S Liberty. They said it was an "accident" and that they only did it because an Egyptian ship was shelling them. Problem is that it was a clear day and the crew said that the IDF could definitely see their flag. Some sailors even held up flags for them to see. The sailors also said that IDF planes was flying over them for an hour beforehand and were close enough that the crew and pilots waved at each other, and IDF helicopters were flying close enough that the crew could see the pilots smirk as said pilots shot at them. The IDF planes were unmarked too, they didn't have anything to show who's army they belonged to. This is important because they, by the Geneva convention, were supposed to have said planes marked. So the IDF committed a war crime by using unmarked planes. Oh, and remember i said that the IDF reported that they attacked because of an Egyptian ship shelling them? The U.S.S. Liberty didn't have any guns that could shoot shells to hit coasts. So it should have been extremely obvious this wasn't the ship they were looking for.
Then there was the coverup. Another U.S. ship finally came to help out and when the crew asked that ships captain why it took so long, he said it was because LBJ kept trying to stop him from coming. LBJ was even reported saying, "I want that ship sunk" and "I'm not going to embarrass our ally". The crew of the U.S.S. liberty was basically threatened into never telling anyone what happened. Israel also said it was an accident. But here's the thing...

And what was the higher ups response?
"NEVER MIND THAT, SHOOT HER!!"
It's believed they really covered it up because if the American public learned about the attack and that it was deliberate, the public would have wanted war with Israel. People would use the CIA report that it was by accident to disprove people saying it was on purpose. But they ignore that the CIA director at the time said that anytime they actually wanted to dig deeper into the investigation to see if the attack really was on purpose, they kept getting shut down by LBJ. In other words, people use the CIA conclusion to say the attack was an accident, while ignoring that the CIA director said they weren't even allowed to do a real investigation in the first place.

You know, I used to be very pro-Israel but, I will give Israeli government one thing. They have done an good job of destroying my support for them. I will give you guys one thing, you were right. I was wrong for support Israel on this situation. Same with Ukraine I was wrong about Ukraine, and realized that Russia was in the right.
