      What makes you think you wouldn’t of been a good NFL QB...I need to hear this?? He got arm talent, can make all the NFL throws and can extend the play, I can go on and I can only think of one thing that someone could knock him on and that’s his size then I say look at Russell Wilson or should I say Doug Floutie and Michael Bishop is a better QB than Floutie.

      Nobody held Bishop down in college. The only way that he lost was in shoot outs. He scored points on everybody. He put up four touchdowns in Lincoln against Nebraska in 1997 the national champs. He was the Heisman runner up and is three inches taller than Flutie and is a lot stronger. Better passer and runner than Flutie

      He’s in the College Football Hall of Fame and beat the Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams 48-7. He was a tremendous college football player. He won 22 games at K-State in just two years. He wasn’t the reason they lost against A&M. They got extremely lucky to win that football game. Bishop was the best option quarterback in Big XII history.

    Hell yeah. Heard about him from a friend. Said K-state has a new quarterback that could stand on the 20 and thrown it through the uprights. I couldn't believe it but then I saw his arm and knew it was true. Bishop was the last of a bread. He was the gun slinger with bravado who could not only throw a dart but run right over your ass. He had the right stuff. A cock stud who had the right to strut. That may not be wise but he had every right to think, to know he was better than you.

    • @trevorthiessen6317
      @trevorthiessen6317 11 месяцев назад

      @bigjonh444 Randall Cunningham was about a decade earlier and was still mostly a pocket passer that ran occasionally. Donavin McNabb and Bishop played each other in the Fiesta bowl, and Kstate won 35-17. They were by far an anomaly and not the rule. Both Bishop and McNabb were drafted, but McNabb was used more extensively as he was more a passing qb than running qb than Bishop. Bishop was also drafted to New England where Tom Brady took the starting spot right after Bledsoe, again, because New England favored the pocket passing qb.
      It was very rare to ever see running/duel threat qbs get drafted or used extensively the NFL at that time, though that seemed to be the start of the change of mindset. Not long after, Michael Vick came in, and with the success of him and McNabb, I think that led to more acceptance of mobile and running QBs.
