Listened to Potential Break Up Song with this song. They're honestly a lot more different than you think. Different meaning to the lyrics, different singing, the beat honestly isn't that close. It reminds people of it because of the electric piano in it.
The song had the same beat as Aly and Aj song but they did change the beat a little so it matches there song .. I went to check Aly and Aj song and lots of people are hating this group for that and honestly you have no reason to hate lots of kpop groups do that snsd,shinee and more have done this ... It's not them who chose to do this song the company did so all u haters need to stop bashing on Tahiti .
I do agree that the video itself is cheesy, but the song is great. TAHITI isn't that well known so that's why they introduced the members individually in the video to spark interest. They'll get there eventually :))
Before you say they stole it, think about this; they probably didn't come up with this song on their own. Someone probably chose it for them. It is entirely possible that they have never even heard of Aly and AJ, and so don't know how similar the two sound. Also, human imagination can only do so much. Even with all of the possibilities for songs, we tend to stick to that which we like or is familiar. It is possible that the person who wrote this song unintentionally made it sound like another.
