카라가 소속사문제때문에 막 갈라질뻔한 걸 버티고 나온 노래라 가사도..곡 분위기도 다 너무 좋고 무언가 벅찬 느낌이 있다 물론 얼마전까지 다 노래랑 컴백 당시 상황, 무대 자체에 국한되서 오는 벅참이었다면... 이제는 그냥 저때의 다섯 멤버들의 어린 모습 또 이젠 볼 수 없는 한명의 모습때문에 더 벅차다

The members Gyuri , Hara and Sungyeon decided not to extend their contract. Their contract just expired last January. Hara is in a new label , Gyuri is on acting , same with Sungyeon (I think)

People might get the impression [that we've disbanded], but we are still keeping in touch, and if there's a good opportunity, we're thinking of releasing a Kara album. @@kosaken1207 i feel empty when i think about the fact that all the top groups from back then are basically retired now. like, we will never hear a new, good song from SNSD for example. The only ones left are Apink, Bigbang, SuperJunior and maybe SHINee. I never truly appreciated what we had back then in kpop until years later.
i wish i had gotten into kpop 2 years earlier (i got into it 2011) so i could've enjoyed new comebacks from groups like snsd, wonder girls etc.

You're joking right? K-pop, ever since the inception of it, has been based off western music. They take R&B/Rap elements and white classic pop as well. I'm korean and idk if you know, but kpop's purpose was to appeal to worldwide audience to make Korea more well-known in the world. So they took popular music from western world and had good looking men/women dance to them. This is why not many koreans were proud of k-pop until recently when it's been getting popular, especially from BTS.
I really miss go Hara..she is really my favorite since their debut, i sometimes visit their Mv's when i want to see her.

小学生のときKARAがめちゃくちゃ流行ってて、テレビに出てたときもよく見てたのがすごく懐かしいです。KARAを見ると子供の時の気持ちに戻ります。数年前な感じがしてたのにもう10年くらい前なんですね。

We have to look at the industry behind them, the writers, choreographers, the graphic artists. Plus, I don't think South Korea is in a great mood right now and companies seem to just want to take profit right now and not invest in big organizations like SNSD, Kara and the boy bands I don't know very well. I have friends living in Korea that are coming back, next month because they think their security is at stake. Did the consulate told them to leave? I don't know. They might be bound to not talk about it until they are out of there. So yeah...the last decade was the best decade. We'll see what the future holds.

KARA is an important girl group in kpop, they were the first Korean girl group to truly have an amazing success in Japan, the first Korean girl group and one of the only along with snsd who performed in Tokyo dome (do you have any idea how big It was for a girl group to do this?). Yes! SNSD was pretty amazing in Japan but KARA was treated as a Japanese group there! They were THAT big in Japan.
Boa, Kara and Snsd paved the way in Japan for korean girl groups, but Kara played an important part there.
Edit: KARA and SNSD are not the only girl groups who performed at Tokyo dome anymore, now Twice and blackpink join the club.

@@nadia2883 No....it was because nicole and jiyoung decided not to renew their contract when it was up in 2014. Then in 2016 the other three members' contracts expired and they all decided not to renew it.

Along with SNSD, Wonder Girls and T-ara (and 2ne1 as well), had a huge relevance and popularity in Korea (sad that T-ara failed to keep sucess after their scandal). @@_____3850 not really. None of those groups were even close to Kara and SNSD in terms of album sales. For a long time, Kara and SNSD's Japanese albums held the top spots for highest ever selling gg albums (both around 800k sales).
The groups you listed, however, all have exceptionally high digital sales (different from album sales), and were famous for topping the charts with new releases. Apart from 2ne1, however, all of them had weak album sales.

As a 2nd gen fans, it's so nice to see this generation groups are still alive. Hope i can see more of them gen reviving from the dead. We got 2ne1, we got Girls Generation, we got sistar, and this. their sister group under dsp rainbow had a reunion in 2019 for their 10th year anniversary, nine muses and after school in 2020 via mmtg, t-ara in 2021 and girls generation this year but there are missing members and there is a speculation that exid and miss a will have a reunion
This generation is what kpop is to me. The new groups just feel weird and like... Different in an odd way. There's a few I like, but 3rd gen isn't bad, it just forgot the sound that made kpop universal and timeless
