AOA Black was actually one of the best idea of FNC. It's cool and unique. Too bad AOA only gained popularity after doing sexy concepts :( No one can blame them tho. Business is business. Huhu miss them all :(

They were ahead of their time imo. It really is a cool concept, I’m sad I didn’t find it sooner.
Yeah, unfortunately the concept was given up very early. If only they had offered more support to it, it would've worked, because the music was there (I'm actually not a fan of their pop stuff) and the concept was different.
I don't know if you've heard of Dreamcatcher, but the original debut of five members called MINX flopped with the pop style and they re-debuted with seven members and went with the rock style. Sure, not super successful, but it's slowly picking up and their rock concept is unique in the industry right now. More than the domestic Korean market, it's appealed to the international market a lot more. I know the domestic market is the most important and is essentially the only market that matters, but the thing is, with international recognition, it slowly helped the domestic market too. AOA could've walked down the same route if FNC had stuck to it, but oh well, what's done is done. I suppose FNC is a pretty crap company as well, so it might not have worked out. Happyface is really supportive of Dreamcatcher, so even though the group wasn't majorly successful on re-debut (but much more successful this time), they still supported the group. I can't see FNC doing that at all, since many of their idols have already expressed discontent about FNC's management.

Nah, it's the only way to greed for money. Again, I quote how Dreamcatcher is managed. Happyface aren't the wealthiest, but it's getting by, it's making a profit, they support their idols and they don't need to treat their idols like crap. Invest more, get more return. Then again, I suppose most agencies look at the big three, "oh, they treat their idols like crap and make boat loads of money, we should do the same" and that's how the industry came to this. At the end of the day, just gotta thank the "fans" this is how things turned out. If agencies that treated their idols like crap didn't get money, their productions were entirely boycotted, whereas agencies that treat idols right succeed, I'm sure the industry as a whole would be a lot more healthier and there would be less incidents like Hara, Sulli and Jonghyun's.

Unfortunately, not the first and won't be the last. The industry is just supported by toxicity. The moment you say something that isn't in favour of someone's favourite group, they take it as a negative comment, even if there is no negativity and just a neutral comment. Funnily enough, these are the same people that claim to be "fans" and inadvertently support their idols being mistreated, starved, abused, etc.
Honestly, given the track record of the big three, if people boycotted them entirely for mistreating idols, it really would have an industry wide effect of getting better treatment for idols, but instead, people fuel this on by pouring money into them claiming to support the idols when the idols literally get nothing from it.
Moya brings back so much memories since this is the song that made me listen to kpop songs. How I miss these days.
I got into kpop by this song. It's hurt seeing Y, choa and mina left the group. My hope that aoa black will comeback is gone.

Not in Korea since they don't allow live instruments in music shows due to time constraints. Just hope AOA Black can come back and promote in Japan where bands are very popular.

AoA is ONE of two girl groups I ever saw with instruments and that's just one of many reasons I love them.

@@blvhfg1789 Youkyung's contract with the agency has been expired in 2016. But she will featured as guest member in AOA Black (band) promotion in the future (if there's a chance they'll be back as a band). Choa left the group (2017) due to her health problems. Mina decided to not to renew her contract with agency and officially left the group in 2019.
So, AOA in Band formation has lost their main vocal (Choa), bassist (Mina), and Youkyung (drummer). But they are still continue promoting in girl group (dance group) formation with the same name, AOA.

safeer890 I know you weren't asking me, but AOA Black is the band subunit of AOA. It has Choa, Jimin, Mina, Yuna, and a "half angel" named YouKyung (or Y). They play live instruments: guitar, guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums respectively.
+Sak Adik aoa's CEO said a sub-unit is making a comeback next year so i do hope it is aoa black... since i think their CEO got inspired by the wonder girls band concept recently since i too was impressed how well the wonder girls played their instruments live. it immediately reminded me of aoa black and how long overdue they are for a comeback!

I came to this video to see Actor Jung Hae In's debut but I didn't expect to see a girl band.
P.S I LOVE song, it sounds really nice
after staring at them play the instruments for 4 minutes I finally realized they are a band not a group XD aha
They also have AOA white which is the band which dances.
To be fair there are a lot of groups that have videos where they just pretend to play the instruments, so I'm always a bit skeptical at first.
If you look at their Get Out music video you can tell. I had to watch that video like twice and read their profile to realize that part of the group was a band xD

Their company should intervene about the bullying incident! Why the FNC didn’t do something to call out Jimin or AOA group? They should have a disciplinary action about bullying.
