    In this clip, B-Real talked about the formation of the Soul Assassins and the making of "Jump Around" by House of Pain. B-Real said that the song was originally supposed to be a Cypress Hill track but things worked out differently. Nevertheless, B-Real considers it to be one of the top 10 hip-hop songs of all-time. Speaking of House of Pain, B-Real also talked about his friendship with Everlast.

      I have a friend that back in the day knew I was about to pull up from hearing my truck from way down the block because he could hear a Cypress Hill song. B Real on that beat would have been insane. Another mistake in the world of music on a long list of mistakes

    I live in Eastern Europe. But in 8th grade in music class we had a lesson about hip-hop. I'm a hip-hop head since childhood and it felt amazing to me when my teacher banged on the stereo "Jump Around" and "Insane in the Brain"

      It was the episode with lalapalooza, they had both throw your set in the air and insane in the brain on that episode. Insane was very brief and with the london symphony orchestra.
      Also an episode of king of the hill had it.

    As a big House of Pain fan I must say their 2nd album is by far the best and I like Back from the Dead better than Jump Around but they are both great songs. Everlast is always incredible

      Honestly I don't Eminem has a song better then Jump Around, he has more lyrical songs, topical songs, but a lot of his music sounds quite compromised, by incorporating rap rock and pop into his music. Jump Around sounds like an authentic Hip Hop song.

    "Jump Around" was massive in Ireland when it came out and it still is due to the House of Pain's Irish connection☘ It was such a huge track that some bars and clubs tried to ban D.Js from playing it because it sent the crowd so wild jumping everywhere and throwing their drinks in the air and causing general mayhem, it was insane😂

    B Real always great interview. I would love to head interviews with other HOP members for their perspective on what fell apart. If u can get past that it doesn't sound like the first album, "Same as it ever was" in my opinion was lyrically, musically and production wise superior to the 1st. Now 3rd album "Truth crushed" IDK WTF that was except a shit show getting pulled in multiple directions!!
