Screaming Customer doesn't understand we're not dealing with his attitude!

- Hello everyone, Today We had a delivery to a lady who wanted to show us where she wanted the material and it was across the backyard. We politely informed her that we weren't going to drive across the yard that we would set The material down as soon as the yard met the pavement and she insisted on getting her husband to come outside and see what he wanted to do. instead of coming outside and having a quarter conversation he came out screaming and cussing and we just walked off the property. We told him where we were comfortable leaving the material and even gave him an alternative drop spot which would be up his driveway and he refused and continue to scream and cuss at us. So we left call the market manager told him that we disengaged from the customer before anything else could happen and we were commended for our actions. The shipper then called us to get our side of the story and asked if we would go back and which we said we never had an issue making the delivery it's the customer that we have the issue with. the shipper called the customer and the customer started screaming and cussing at the manager in which she went ahead and canceled his order for him and decided not to deal with him anymore either!
Simply put you were exposed to workplace harassment. You drove away and your employer supported your response. This was exactly how it's suppose to work. Well done.
He is his own employer.
He also seems like the type of person to file a damage claim, on the yard, if you did what he asked.
true too but recored them what they say to do and take pix afterwards forward it to your boss i dont think they would have a leg to stand on js idk
@@alanlangley7246
You still have to go to court and present all of that.
All he has to do is drop it at the curb. He is doing people a favor trying to work with them..
why do all that, just to do them an extra favor, especially when they are being dicks?
That was likely his intention to get the load delivered for free. I wasn't born yesterday. lol
Or your truck/forklift bogs down in the soft soil gets stuck or damaged, your employer is going to be really unhappy with you.
Doesn't matter on the value of a order. You are still a human being and don't deserve to be treated in that manner. Much love and respect to all of you
❤️❤️💪🏾💪🏾
I love when grown men scream like toddlers. I imagine how terrible it must be to live with them and it makes me appreciate my life.
Grown women do it too and shriek I find it wayyy worse. I will never understand why people do that in public like it will get them their way. How they aren't embarrassed I'll never understand.
No this delivery guy is the real toddler. His company would have fired his insubordinate ass if he didnt film everything. Just do what youre asked instead of making your customers day shitty. You dont know wwhat theyre dealing with.. do your job as a good human being
@@madera648 just because they are a customer does not make it okay for them to treat people like crap. A good boss won't let their loyal employees catch that treatment for a few bucks.
@@amandalynn1762 yeah no, this guy knows exactly what to do to set people. Hes a petty little prick trying to generate content. A channel about deliveries with no drama would be extra boring
@@madera648 naw I work with the public and know how entitled and shitty they are. I have to kick at least one a hole out a week for being a d bag like I owe then my undying devotion because they came into MY BUISNESS because they wanted MY PRODUCT. I don't allow any one to treat my people like crap.
He’s the guy who yells at his wife to make him a sandwich and bring him a beer, while she’s looking up “how to poison someone and not get caught”:)
Probably has her chained to the radiator.
You sure she wasn't watching the show How to Get Away with Murder...lol 😂
My wife jokingly says she puts powdered glass in my food but I tell her that I've been putting it in my own food for awhile to build up a tolerance. LOL good times good times
@@TheDogGoesWoof69 Thanks, Ty, good to hear from ya!😺
You are a very professional man. The guy was never taught to say "please or thank you".
You technically just have to drop it on the curbe and go. I appreciate people like you. Yelling is literally a tactic of intimidation stay safe your doing an amazing job sorry that crap happens.
Damn Stewie…..you skurrrred?
@@chrisreynolds2410 no i just dont like those types of people get one of 2 responses a foot in the ass or nothing usually nothing
i used to delv beer store owner was a from the middle east one day he told me us americas are no good so i wheel his beer out put it on back my truck went to my next stop 5 mins later he was begging to get his beer back i did at 9pm that night after i finished my route . after that never had a problem with him since
@@chrisreynolds2410 im joking with you in all actuality people like that individual do scare me
Good 4 u. I've been a p&d driver 4 42 years with an LTL trucking company & had to deal with this type daily. It feels good to put these types in their place when needed. 🇺🇸🤣👍
More businesses and people need to do this. NOBODY should have to put up with this type of behavior.
As a cop of 25 years, you did right. There are people out there that can never be pleased, DO NOT THINK INTO THIS.
You sure showed who was the professional in this situation, well done !!!
"screaming customer doesn't understand we're not dealing with his attitude.." that's what I'm talking 'bout!!
He is one of those people where nothing pleases them, they are looking for a fight. You handled that well by walking away, especially when he used profanity at you.
His government is not the right colour........his wife's left him.................and his dog's died.....................or maybe he's just an arse..
Beware of the Dog with no bark,it's the quiet ones you got to watch...
Been there done that. This is how it’s done. I’ve met the nicest people driving truck but also the worst !
You demonstrate some very high degree of professionalism. You sir are very rare breed of person.
There is no reason for him to go off on you You did the right thing Thanks for sharing Mike 👍
YES THERE IS A REASON FOR PEOPLE NOT TO PUT UP WITH HIS CRAP!!! your to blind to see a pattern with this delivery driver. I'll give you a clue / he has to many problems on a day to day basis.
You handled the situation well. Great professionalism!
not even close.. goofball
@@crackercarlbumpkin866 go cry in a corner
I can picture what you go through on a daily basis. I myself drove a tractor trailer with the 3 wheeler attached to the back for a company 24 years delivered commercial and residential. I like how you keep your cool and stay respectful towards all your customers, it takes a true professional like yourself to handle that. Be safe out there and always watch your back on them streets.
I did a delivery and a woman was going ballistic about where we could leave it. I asked if I could take her picture. She said why? I said I wanted to put it on my mantle piece to keep kids away from the fire.
LMAO
🔥🔥🔥🔥😂😂😂😂😂😂😅
Mouthful of Cola up the nose! Thanks!!! That's just to funny.
I read that in Archie Bunker's voice 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You handle that well!
People like that should be responsible for picking up their own materials, or Home Depot should deliver it.
People like that should be banded from most stores.
Home depot does deliver it... via contractors... lol
Banded? lol
No customer should be doing that idc if he or she had a bad day you did the right thing by bringing the order back
I admire your attitude in all your endeavors. I will never understand why people believe that your job is to bow down and worship them. Keep up the great work.
Some customers are Aholes. You do with what is required by the order. Then go home. SMART! And nice to see the face brother. Peace and enjoy your day👍
There was no grounds for the way that that customers acted towards you totally uncalled for you went above and beyond what you where supposed to be doing and he treated you like that he'll no. Anyways love your video clips keep up the great job brother and remember to always do what you think is right. Be careful out there and stay safe.
You definitely did the right thing. No one should be screaming at someone trying to do their job.
I love how you kept your cool.
There was no reason for the guy to be so disrespectful.
Love from Scotland ❤
I was in trucking for 45 years; now retired. Enjoy you channel (now subscriber). You do what you do well.
❤️❤️❤️
A zebra never changes his stripes. Good that the Store Manager heard him talk.
There was an Atlas Driver who pulled up to load these peoples household and the wife was screaming obsenities, he loaded all his stuff back on the truck and left. He turned down a 20 thousand dollar job and he told his dispatcher how she was screaming the minute he got there. They ended up having to move themselves
Sad you have to deal with such disrespectful people regularly. Keep up the great work, very interesting to see how your business works. Be safe
Good for you. I really like your great attitude. After 50 years in the professional service business I've learned that there are some people whom you are never going to please.
Retired Western Canadian Trucker here(25_+ years of alot of varying equipment.. on and off road)... Young Man.... your going places.. KUDOS on keeping your work at the professional Level... along with having a recording device "Ready to go on a moments notice!"
You are daily preaching PATIENCE, PROFESSIONALISM and hard working much respect ✊
Congratulations! You acted professionally and like an adult!!
Total respect to you !
You are a good man !
With good work ethics !
Even when people are horrible you stay calm and walk away with dignity
Well done your parents must be very proud of you !

I wish more companies stood up for their employees. We have allowed people to talk to service workers like crap for too long. No one deserves it.
You're very professional and underappreciated by the fools in our society. Those of us who are sane appreciate your efforts immensely
I had a fedex driver deliver a shed pkg to my back gate. He actually helped me unload it. Amazing driver. Tipped him $50 and thanked him profusely. ALWAYS appreciate your delivery drivers!
Yes long as it doesn't cause safety concerns or concerns of damage to property or people We're pretty straightforward
Some folks are just miserable and mad at the world. You are a class act, keep up the good work.
You did the right thing. 100%. You don't know how far this guy is going to go, so escalating things by arguing or yelling back isn't helping anyone.
Good job standing your ground 👏 I'm in customer service too and no grown man deserves to be yelled at like a child, as soon as the customer starts with that we're done. Nice getting it on video too
No child deserves to be yelled at!!!!!
@@henkjanssen186 Why not? I was yelled at when I did something bad as a child, I raise my voice at my kids if they do something wrong
im 22yrs old watching your videos is inspiring me to carry my 22. and my 9mm. and I'm now recording all my deliveries wish me the best GOD WILLING!!
Never get tired of hearing someone explain how RUclips works.....🙉
Being an ex bus driver I know all about how customers / passengers can be rude. I've dealt with a few in my time. You can try to accommodate them as much as possible but still some are not happy. I get the "I'll report you !" which I reply, "That's ok" ... "I'll tell them what a bad driver you are" , "That's ok.... Feel free".
I'd get the odd phone call / email asking to explain what happened . I'd forward video of the incident to them with a detailed 1 - 3 page email / transcript and they understood.
Everything in my case was recorded on multiple cameras from the time I get into the bus for the day until I get out.
One passenger even wanted me to stop in the middle of the freeway which I declined and later wanted me to drive him back to his pickup point at no charge (again I declined)
As for your uber eats comment. I'm not surprised. They get paid very little as they are contractors getting only $2 - $5 / delivery with huge waiting times between deliveries sometimes.
I know a few taxi drivers who told me stories / shared some crazy videos and I was like "Wow !" The thing is... They had to put up with it because otherwise they'll get told off by the call centre (even when they are in the right) . The passenger is always right (even when being abusive / threatening you / refusing to pay)
One particular incident the driver was told the procedure is ........... (procedure 1)
He followed that procedure that was made up on the spot and another incident occurred (taxi drivers are often fighting about things - Especially if you are not the same race as the majority) .
Of course he had been following the procedure 1 as stated but this time he got told off and they reversed the procedure to the opposite.
There are only 2 options available (the way the street signs state) which is what he was doing in the 1st place and the other way which is ignoring the street signs and traffic laws. I even heard the conversation between the driver and the call centre manager telling him off.
This was a common problem it seems.
I've also been in jobs where you cop abuse multiple times a day and the customers know they can get away with it.
Anyway, it seems you handled your situation correctly and I guess the customer will have to order from somewhere else.
So often the whole story isn't posted and we the readers get left in the air and wonder why we wasted our time listening and reading their posts. You however tell everything.
👍🏻 Thank you so much. 👍🏻 Scary when you come across people with no filter and understanding. Keep safe.
❤️❤️❤️
Staying cool and calm like that is a skill, you got it ✌️
Appreciate everyone's professionalism. Especially the lady. Thx.🙂
I commend you on how you handled this customer you did not deserve to be treated that way the worst people to work with is customers are used to work in retail and got treated crappy by customers many times very hard to keep your cool and you do a very good job I think you and all the truck drivers and delivery drivers for all your work without you guys we wouldn’t be able to get our stuff we needed so keep up the good work and thanks for the videos
I delivered furniture in the 80's. Crazy people out there. I always like how cool, collective and calm you are. If you let it get to you, you end up with ulcers.
Good Thursday afternoon to you Mike 🙂hope you and yours💖 are doing well today👋 today I'm going back over some of your previous videos that I've missed they're very💯 well done BROTHER!👍
❤️❤️❤️❤️💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Respect to you for your understanding and calmness.
So sorry you had to deal with someone like that. You're always so upbeat! Some people have never get told "no" as a child then grow up to become this man. 🤷♀️🤦♀️
You don’t deserve to be treated that way, good ole saying “don’t kill the messenger”. You handled that properly sir
Mike, you're a good guy. I see you doing good things for good customers and just not caring about the bad ones. I once had a job like yours and couldnt handle that part. Keep safe and remember there are still good people out there! Keep doing good, karma will rewrd you! Cheers man!
Almost every video from this channel is a lesson in viragra (a vedanta expression meaning detachment) for me. Anger management is part of that, so a big thank you for the example of your personal reaction to customers who lose their way.
You did the right thing! You don't have to put up with that bs. If they can't talk to you in a normal tone and not cuss at you, then they don't get their delivery. We are all the same,no difference. No one is better than anyone else.
Great attitude you have, job well done, and your video was super interesting!! That person needs Prozac.....
It's really cool how you stay calm in these situations, I know that ain't easy
Very rational, reasonable delivery driver ,somettimes customers think they are buying you, aswell as the goods ,glad you can show them the error of their ways in such a polite way
I'm only a minute or so in, but I already know the type of customer. You're so right, you/we don't have to tolerate that sort of behaviour. Those days are gone. More and more self employed folk are waking up, have self worth and learn to take a breath, compose oneself and walk away, head held high.
Good job brother 👏
Another GREAT video 📹 👏 family!
Love your videos 📹 more and more!!! They show what people like us deal with on a daily basis. Nothing is easy anymore and it's a really good thing people like us video 📹 tape everything,,, it's basically a must anymore.
I've never had something of this nature delivered to my house. But because of you Sir, I have a new found respect for you and others in the profession. I will be sure to treat those I may encounter with such respect. You are skilled in many ways, and its incredible you are not more bitter considering the people you encounter. I hope you have more good experiences than bad ones. Take care out there and be safe.
Thanks David! Happy Holidays!
Disgraceful behaviour shame on him!. Keep smiling Mike way to go ! 👍
Greeting from UK
Thing that these customers don't get is that u can refuse to deliver!!!
They think because u r delivering to them that they own u!!
You are a good man , patience is a virtue, especially when dealing with overgrown children.
Your a better man that that POS! Most people (me included) would have lost their cool in this situation but you handled it like a boss. You're a good man. Keep up the good work.
Commendable level of customer service from you, any transportation company is lucky to have you as a driver.
He is lucky to have himself as a driver yes.
Wow! I'm truly impressed by your calm demeanor. Awesome job sir.
We aren't bouncers lmaoo
HEY MIKE AGAIN, GOOD FOR YOU FOR KEEPING YOUR COOL!!! VERY PROFESSIONAL!!! YOU ROCK BROTHER!!! BE SAFE!!!
Kudos on your self control and attitude. You're a better man than I.
Man, you are one professional fella. Kuddos to you my friend. God Bless you!!!
Food for thought: It took a pandemic for people to realize how important truck drivers are to our daily lives. God bless all the truckers.
Maybe for you
Last time I checked,,, a little Respect went a long way.
Man you handle the Great and you got great office people to back you up that's even the better thing be blessed keep filming the videos I enjoy them
You know these old heads blood pressure go up just that much more when you call them bud 😂 I love it
How long did it take you driving a Rig like that before you comfortable?
I deliver soda for distributor and go to large grocery stores to small mom and pop gas stations and everything in between. I live in a big city but my route is in the country. For the most part everyone is great and I enjoy talking with them. Just like you I will accommodate them as well and go above and beyond. Keep up the great work and keep your head up.
Just found your channel and have been enjoying your videos. My parents taught me to be polite and respectful to everyone...whether you are a doctor or a janitor. I still say please and thank you to a waiter or waitress. You treat others as you would like to be treated. Some people are just miserable souls.
❤️❤️❤️
Mike, you did a great job deescalating the situation. Never put yourself in a position that could go sideways at all. As a delivery driver myself, I fully understand the abuse that can and will happen if you are not very careful and watch closely for the signs. Most people dont understand the abuse and tempers we encounter daily out there. Stay safe Brother. By the way... you have some catching up to do with that beard. My beard is down to my belly button.LOL
Makes me thankful for my job, I deliver to 1 place, 30 miles away, 3 trips a day. and i dont ever have to talk to anyone, the gate is automated, i scan my paperwork. drop and hook, and i'm to pick up the next load.
People are amazing….I meet these guys with a bottle of water and a smiling hello….followed by please and thank you
This is exactly why I left my management position of 5 years at my old company. Most of the neighborhoods we serviced were in the 3+ million dollar homes. I got treated like this daily. Sometimes customers that had a 250,000 dollar home too. There's alot of entitled people out there. Now, I get to do what you did, put it in drive push the yellow lever in and go.
Great job. That guy is boiling over, i enjoy watching or listening to idiots losing it. I worked in retail for 40 years, heard it all. LMAO.
I commend you on your professionalism. Great job. I am glad you refused to be abused by a major a.
Retired after 40 years OTR and local work.
Been here and don't want to go back as it gets boring.
As soon as he started his screaming I'm outta there and as your company did mine would do the same.
I worked for 1 company that made chairs and I was their NYC guy. You know how so many drivers sing the "I don't do NYC" song, I loved it as when they pay you to cross a stupid bridge and for bumping docks or every curb side delivery, I'll take their money with open hands as I make more on multi drops in NYC than single drops in BFE!
My funniest screamer was an Asian man that got a load of paper rolls. This guy took 1 look in the trailer and started screaming the paper was wet and he wasn't taking it unless he got reimbursed for half the load.
I called my dispatcher and they hear him screaming about wet paper and then I reminded her the we were in the middle of a drought and I did not get the truck washed so no water at all.
She laughed and said she'd handle it.
He called in and she chewed him a new one! Told him #1 if he raised his voice at me again I would leave with his paper in my wagon and that he would be paying for the trip back to the shipper.
Oh, he shut his face and I took pictures of every roll (14) and the ceiling of the trailer which I could tell he knew he had no ground to stand on then so he just unloaded his paper and signed the BOL and I went on my merry way!
But delivering chairs was even funnier in NYC!
One of my first drops was to a store front church in the Bronx.
There was only women waiting for me and they wanted me to walk every chair if I remember correctly was 80 of those cloth cushioned wooden nice chairs.
I told them I only drug the chairs to the tail and they had to get them from there. They knew this but started to scream at me about them being old women. I told them I wasn't going to climb in and out of the trailer that many times and they were told so by the company when they ordered them.
So they started to take them and set them on the sidewalk.
I knew that was a bad idea and yep I was right! I hear them screaming and they all took off towards the front of the truck. I lean out and look to see a dude trying to run with a chair with 5 or 6 old black ladies running after him beating him with their purses.
Just before he made it to the corner here comes 2 of New Yorks finest just walking around the corner and it was just funny as hell as he stopped, the cops looking confused as the ladies catch up and start to beat him unmercylessly until the cops figure it out and grab him saving him from whatever old women carry in those big assed handbags they were beating him with!
But I delivered just as I was told onto that curb with the cops standing there with that dude in cuffs watching so it didn't happen again!
I still ROFLMAO when I think of that day!
Never a dull day in trucking!
Blue skies and safe journeys!
😂😂😂💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Nobody deserves to be treated like he treated you. You did the right thing and also you have the vidio to back it up. 👏
It's awesome how you can keep your cool ... I would of been old school and you know the saying talk 💩 get hit
Federal offense
Great composure, and professionalism on your part.
Man I feel you on this, working with people like that I have dealt with that. I worked at the airport got spit at cussed at you name it. Great Job dealing with this .
You are a clear thinking man...stand fast.
This guy is awesome I work for a delivery company and during Christmas season there is a lot of crazy customers
Thumbs up to the delivery driver for keeping his cool and just drive off after being told F__K Y_U. Your a cool headed delivery driver for not getting into it with him.
You handled the situation really well, hope the rest of your day goes without any problems but thats asking a lot love your videos
🥰🥰🥰
Im in the transportation business myself & I feel your pain! I don’t let anyone speak to me that way either. Good job.
I watch your videos because you are a terrific host. I am amazed at your level of professionalism. Keep up the great content.
Enjoying these videos. I'm subbed. But your voice reminds me of bay area transparency hahaha. Keep on the great work you are always respectable
I subbed...you deserve it! And you have the right attitude for this work. No problem---Im gone!
How I say the customer is always right crap was in the 1990s there is no more of this respect should be shown both ways you did a great job!!
This is how all customer service need to start behaving professionally but yet not putting up with these types of people then maybe they will fade out!
I'm certainly grateful for anybody who delivers any packages to my home and thank you as well.
It's better sometimes just not to go back. Make them reschedule. Takes longer, but you need to get paid 2x's one for each attempt. Phones get too confusing. I'm glad that lady manager didn't put up with his attitude just for a sale. Glad it worked out.
Sadly in this day and age you gotta be careful dealing with these types of people... they're the people to go in their house and get a gun and just go on a rampage
You did well with that Yahoo. Dealing with the public is always an adventure with the best encounters and straight hell with the really bad ones
You are a valuable asset to that company, some situations you can defuse, other you just have to terminate. There is no call for that type of abusive behaviour.
Well handled my friend keep up your great work.
