A lot of Notch’s ideas were honestly not that great. He didn’t seem to have a great grasp on the difference between an irritating chore and a rewarding challenge.
i think the hunger system is one of the worst offenders ever
How would you change it? The hunger system doesn’t bother me too much, but the durability system for instance I think is a tedious disaster. @@thirachi5836
@@thirachi5836Yup. I preferred the game way back when hunger didn't exist. But that said, you also couldn't sprint back then either. So it's a tradeoff I was willing to take.

The passive effects seemed to have lived on in some extent with the addition of beacons & conduits
There is a reference to this in the minecraft related novel “the end”
I really think that Minecraft needs at least one more slot for Backpacks/Wings.
Especially with the inventory problems there are.
I just want that so I can be in full Armor and have Wings.

Quake 3, a game that Notch used to be extremely fond of, didn't have armor that worked like this at all.
Armor absorbs 2/3 of damage if you have any equipped, although I feel that there was a build of Quake that changed how much damage Armor absorbed depending on how much you had.
But it's pretty funny to think that Armor in Minecraft would work more like megahealth than actual armor.

A lot of the ideas seem like worse executed Terraria features, like being able to equip items and gaining health as you progress.

I don't like the others much, but the XP dependent HP sounds a fun challenge actually.
It would just be an extra slog after drying really. You die, kill like 10 mobs and go back to how you were a minute ago before searching for your items again.

i would imagine that less hearts, like 3 or 4 similar to zelda or isaac, the damage could only be dealt either half a heart for common damage, or a full heart for rare heavy damage.
