Does NVX have a kit for a 24 model y Long Range RWD with 7 speakers to add an amp and subwoofer? Primarily where you are pulling the signal from for the LOC.
I can´t wait to order this and do it, but before I order I have one question: When you take power from those two wires from the connector: Does those wire automaticly turn off the power when car is locked or does it feed 12v day and night like some other 12v systems in the model Y? The ordinary 12v plugs stays on day and night if something is connected to them. Are those wires the same or do they actually power off when you lock the car? I am afraid that it will stay on and draw power/range for no reason. I would really appreciate an answer so I can go ahead and order and install this :)
Every thing turns off and on with audio signal. We grabbed power from the factory amp as an example nut you can pull power from the main battery just like the amp or you can tie in with the amplifiers power and ground wires.
Any videos on how much 2 12" subs would drain the battery. I want to put upgraded 6x9s and add 2 12" subs in my f150 Platinum. Saw a cool Idea on installing them in the front trunk facing into the cab. Have you see it done? Also with the AC outlets maybe a person could install home speakers with a receiver? I mean that would only change from 4 to 8 ohms and I'm guessing would be a big drain on the battery?
You say that you tapped into the subwoofer signal wire. Is this the high wattage output or the low wattage input signal? Is it the input signal for the subwoofer for going into the amp? I'm guessing you are using the output signal? So it's the high voltage and that's the need for the extra component. A lot of amps already have high level input, that would not work, correct?
You guys don't mention disconnecting the battery or anything like that prior to installing the Amp. Would just disconnecting the high voltage interlock loop at the penthouse suffice enough to install the amp's power source to that bolt?
I did an install on my ford mustang mach e. I’ve done many installs on ICE vehicles, but in this situation I’m using a taramps 1200.1D and audio control LC2i for LOC. but they both clip without even turning up the sound loud (even with the gain turned down) only the threshold is turned up for instant bass output. I’m assuming the voltage on the EV drops too low for this setup? ICE vehicles has the alternator to charge the battery, whereas EV doesn’t. Any thoughts on this? Love your setup on the Tesla!! Clean work!!
im having the same problem with my model y. im using a mosconi pico1 and illusion carbon xl. i can only turn the volume up 60 percent and the gain a quarter, anymore it will blow the fuse on the amp. i even o scope the factory amp, it gets very noisy around half volume.
@@striker6044 then in your case you’re overpowered or you have a short circuit somewhere that’s sending too much current through the line causing it to blow the fuse to save your amp. So you might want to check your wiring.
