    i had the same dilemma , i didnt want to void the warranty on the new bike and 3 grand for that fugly big akra thats road leagal is too much . so i had aprilia put a racing exhaust plus cat delete and racemap installed . now my bike is too loud for my liking , but the db killer is a joke , its only 4 cm long and hardly restricting anything . so tmorrow i modify the dbkiller bij welding on a tube of the same diameter , i will weld on a 15 cm tube so i know its good enough , then i can take some of with a grinder untill it is what i want . if akra and aprillia only made the racing exhaust like 10 cm longer and the midpipe shorter , it would be a lot more silent . enjoy the summer with your kickass bike man , lifes good 🤘

      @@CunningStuntsGoFast Yeah it’s frustrating that there isn’t more choice out there (well somewhere affordable anyway). The race exhaust must be loud. Even with this my neighbours have said it sounds like a helicopter is coming in to land, and the last thing I need is the hassle of police stops and noise testing. There are also so many acoustic cameras being implemented so makes it harder to have fun toys.
      I think your idea of extending the baffle is definitely the way to go. At least your baffle looks in keeping with the exhaust, whereas mine turns something the side of a can of coke to a pea shooter, so not very aesthetically pleasing 🙄

    Because you have the cables unhooked the servo motor is going past its set point and no load ect. That will loge a code, (It Sounds great.)

    • @CharltonsClassics
      @CharltonsClassics  Месяц назад

      Ahh that makes sense. Now that I have the Gabro map installed do you know if I can just remove the servo? I’ve noticed it still actuates when the ignition is switched on 🤔

    Hi Chris!
    Nice vid, actually thinking about installing this exhaust in my Tuono. I had the same issue with the valve servo (I disconnected the valve with the original exhaust and burnt two fuses until I discovered the issue). Do you know if it’s an issue with the servo being broken/burnt? Or is the servo working after the gabro install (I think I can hear it work on your vid but just to make sure).
    Thanks!

    • @CharltonsClassics
      @CharltonsClassics  Месяц назад +1

      Yeah I think it's a lovely exhaust, and am really pleased with it.
      I was thinking the same thing when I installed it as you can hear the servo when turning the ignition on as you say. I decided to leave it all fitted in case I ever need to re-connect the valve, but the Gabro has overwritten the mapping to stop the warning light coming up and the fuses blowing.
      I can only assume that if I were to remove the servo then everything will continue to work as-is, but I haven't tested this myself.
      From what I have seen on the forums, Gabro is quick at responding, so may be worth reaching out to him 🙂

      @@javierpallascorraliza1248 So your question got me thinking and I actually emailed Gabro. This is the response I received:
      “Hi, with the race map the valve still works but if you want to remove it from the bike you won't have any errors on the dashboard.”
      Hope this helps 😊

    When you flash it, let the thing hang off the side, and put the phone on the tire. NO METAL, where you have it is a metal cage.

      Thanks for the advice there. I didn't realise this could be an issue and sadly no remarks of that kind on the installation instructions.
      Done now but will certainly bear in mind for the future if I change the map again!

    Hi ,wyas looking at the gabro tune for my tuono v4 ,will wait to see how you get on with road ride and whether the tune removes restrictions in the first two gears

    • @CharltonsClassics
      @CharltonsClassics  Месяц назад +1

      Hi mate. It’s certainly something I never noticed when the bike was stock. It’s rare for me to use wide open throttle in first or second as it’s very fierce, but I’ve certainly never noticed any restrictions other than wheelie control kicking in and traction occasionally.
      My first impressions with standard to spirited road riding on the new map is that the power and delivery is quite similar. I mean a few bhp at 175 isn’t going to make a noticeable difference to a typical rider. But for me the Gabro was the easiest way to map the bike and there are such a wide selection of options.
      Great idea really, albeit a little bit expensive…

      Hi ,thanks for the reply.
      Good to hear the gabro tune was easy to use if a little time consuming 😂.
      I have the upmap on mine from Aprilia,but like the idea of the rad fan coming on early with the gabro tune,plus with me being 3 hrs from a dealer the gabro has the ability to check dash warning lights .
      Where did you buy gabro unit from please?.
      Great selection of bikes you have ,love older Aprilia bikes you have,👍

      @@jasoncains1183 Yeah I think I had a small glitch with it because I restarted the process and it was really quick. Depending on where you are based you may also find that not many tubers can work with the Aprilia ECU unless you have a power commander installed (I had this issue).
