Its impossible to scroll through the comments of a video related to a game without someone having commented the game being underrated. By you guys' logic, literally every game ever made is underrated, so why even bother commenting that 🤦♂️.
I agree Epic Mickey was awesome Also, why do people hate this game and "is so underrated" comments all of a sudden?! 😂 What's going on? Who fed them what?! 😂😂
This is definitely not a game for a single player. It's best enjoyed when you play with someone, or even better- when all 4 players are present. That's where this game shines. It's also great that this game is pretty casual, so both veteran gamers and people who don't play much can equally enjoy it. Not to mention, it's a fantastic game to play with kids. Like, my little niece is in love with this game, and it's heartwarming to see her happiness when she completes the challenge. And if she can't do that, I can always help her. It's a really fun party game. I was looking for games like these, but it's really hard to find something.
Great review. Just as I expected, this game is chill and laid back and meant to be more enjoyed with a group of people. I might pick this game up when it goes on sale for $20. $40 is a little too high, for a simple short and short game. Also I hate how the screen is zoomed way too out. I hope there is a setting to adjust the scree size.
I thought the same about the view. Game looks good though, I'll be farming for a copy off ebay or offerup or something. I see myself finishing this game and probably never playing it again.
I'm liking the game so far, I think it could be considered as maybe a cozy game with how laid back and easy it is. It's probably better enjoyed with friends around but it's a good game for when you just want to relax a bit and not think about the game itself. I got mine for about $30 from Target with those circle points and I'm about 5 hours in.
The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse and the sequel that I played on the Super NES are the best. I would totally pick up those if they released them on the switch.
No one really talks about this, but thanks for continuing to shoot in landscape and not bowing down to portrait mode for your videos. I, for one, appreciate this.
I wanted to love this game. I played it for a few hours and I immediately said where are the enemies? Then I went back and played Ori. I immediately said this is what I wanted Disney Illusion to be. The game is beautiful to look at. I just feel this game could’ve been more. Maybe a sequel in the future.
my older kids liked Yoshi's Crafted World, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and Super Mario 3D World, so I think this one is right up their alley, Actually looking for a laid back and easy game to play next with them in local co-op.
I had a Mickey that had a cassette deck and would speak, telling the story. I loved him. This game looks beautiful and I'm definitely going to pick up a copy.
Epic Mickey was one of the greatest games ever in terms of art design and concept, wasn’t the most amazing in terms of gameplay but it was passable, but yea the world was incredible
Oh my gosh! I had the Mickey Mouse toy that told you stories when I was a kid. I loved that thing! I still have some of the tapes actually. This game looks fun btw. Big nostalgic Mickey fan.
Odd though coming from someone who played Genesis Illusion games that you can't fight enemies. That game has enemy obstacles you had to use magic on to remove. Been nice to see a little more of the second game in this one.
I just bought this game, and I do enjoy it, but after playing it for a while, I can't decide if I really should still keep it. It feels almost like a game for renting and not for keeping. What do you think?
I'll be farming ebay or offerup or something for a copy just for that reason. I'll probably finish it and never play it again, but at least with a physical copy I'll always have it.
You should check out some of the current Mickey Mouse shorts. They are very charming, well animated, and acrually pretty funny. My favorite short is when Mickey and Goofy get zapped by a shrink ray into a glass of water and Donald accidentally drinks it and both mess with his organs.
Funny that RGT never mentions Rayman Legends… have he ever played that game? Because that’s where the comparison should be focused on. What it seems like, it’s an easier version of Rayman Legends game, oriented for kids.
Iron Mickey Mode unlocks after you beat the game. This mode removes the check points. One life to live similar to Ori. There's also hidden mickey ears you can take pictures of with a camera you have to unlock. The Completionist played through with 2 friends if you need a little more detail and indepth review.
A fair review. For certain audiences. A great game for after something difficult - a relaxer. People compare it to rayman. I agree with comparing it to Metroid with all the maze you unlock as you go. My boys and I really are enjoying it.
I got it off Amazon (only 4 months after release!) for €25 including tax and Shipping. It gets shipped late but I don’t mind, I still have enough to play right now. And for that price I’m glad to wait a bit :)
I was a Snes owner growing up I loved that system it was the highlight of my childhood and almost all the games were good however even I can admit the Sega Genesis version of Aladdin was so much better
I'm actually really tired of online multiplayer. Very excited to have a game like this that I can play with all 3 of my kids without having to buy multiple systems and sign in to multiple accounts. I'm over that
I'm with you 100% on Genesis' Aladdin being the superior game. And, yes, it's an opinion but, sometimes, a game is so superior that it basically transcends subjectivity and becomes objective fact.
I’m in agreement with the majority I think it’s a chill/cozy on the couch platform to platform game with no timer no urgency just get the next mission.
Once I heard no combat I am happy I didn’t get it for 40 bucks , I might wait on sale to reconsider getting this unless they update the game with combat, I just can’t see a entire game just jumping and slide with no combat, it make no sense at a $40 price tag, How long is the game ??
Always love classic type Disney games especially staring Mickey, I just finished it and enjoyed this one, but I too would’ve liked combatant in it as well. Although I did enjoy the story and the twist and turns of it as well as the nice cut scenes and animation, I don’t feel this game has much replay value though unfortunately. In some aspects, it feels like a chore. although I did basically collect everything, at 95%, I have no desire to try to win all gold medals on all of the obstacle courses, or even attempt to playing the “iron Mickey” version. I’d like to see another epic Mickey take as those games were fun! the sequel was in someways a lackluster and unfortunately ended on a cliffhanger. But I would like to see a new game in that style again, starring the classic Disney characters.
I play all the illusion, castle world and legend on the gear Honestly the magic is there! the music, the graphx ok there is no fighting but it makes you think and is easy going relaxing so I like it its different
Snes Aladdin all the way. Genesis version was only about graphics and was the same as all other systems like Amiga. The snes Aladdin was a capcom quality game.
I think the art style looks great and the game play would be fun, but given the amount of gameplay i really wouldn't want to spend anything more the $15 for it. I also enjoy combat in my platformers.
Well there is a mickey mouse game out that is called mickey mania. So that fits in this video. I'm looking forward to getting this game. It looks good to me. I like the retro mickey mouse games and this kind of reminds me of them just a little bit. Cast of illusion is such a good game and it's sequel world of illusion also. There are some illusion Mickey mouse games on the game gear also. So I'm glad that they brought the illusion title back.
Thanks for the video. I was considering buying this game and playing it with my niece and nephew. But since it doesn’t have any combat and it’s strictly platforming, I’ll pass. Thanks for saving me $40. 😅
I think the characters should been drawn and animated to look like an established iteration of Mickey and Friends I know they're trying to be unique but I don't really like it and I disagree it doesn't look like 20s Mickey at all
So far this definitely sounds like it was made for younger kid gamers with the Disney brand and iconic characters. The graphics would be okay if they offered more on the combat ratio if all you're doing is avoiding enemies to get to the finish it just seems it'll become repetitive and tedious pretty quickly. With all that Disney has done put aside this is a game that I just don't see many gamers getting or enjoying except for the younger gamers age 9 or younger. I was able to play a demo at a gaming store and sadly on a personal note it just felt underwhelming as I didn't feel the thrill of completing the demo level but more of "That's it??" kind of feeling. Again I feel this is a good game for the young children gamers but if your kids are a little older or if you're interested in the game try and play a demo of the game if possible before buying.
Epic Mickey was sooooo underrated

If you zoom in, the game will suck cause it’s designed to be super zoomed out. You’re supposed to see certain things while it’s zoomed out.
I thought the same about the view. Game looks good though, I'll be farming for a copy off ebay or offerup or something. I see myself finishing this game and probably never playing it again.
@@ironjerm I understand that aspect of the game but it's also difficult to see where character is on screen.

How long did it take you to finsh the game?
@@AutumnOhana I finished it around a day or two, it's an easy relaxing game

The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse and the sequel that I played on the Super NES are the best. I would totally pick up those if they released them on the switch.
I would love a physical release of a remaster trilogy The Magical Quest series.
No one really talks about this, but thanks for continuing to shoot in landscape and not bowing down to portrait mode for your videos. I, for one, appreciate this.
I can still remember the music tracks from Castle of illusion and Quackshot. It was magical. The feel of the 90`s is hard to replicate
I wanted to love this game. I played it for a few hours and I immediately said where are the enemies? Then I went back and played Ori. I immediately said this is what I wanted Disney Illusion to be. The game is beautiful to look at. I just feel this game could’ve been more. Maybe a sequel in the future.
I would give this a try if the perspective was much smaller and the characters were larger on screen
when I saw that I knew they fucked it up
If it goes down for Black Friday, I think I will definitely get it for the family for Christmas
$5
It’s $40. Just buy it now u brokey
@@sirownzalotgaming3025This game isn’t worth $20
I’ll buy this game on a sale this fall.
Castle of illusion was my jam back in the 90s
It's so far away! I get the 4 player part of being able to see, but it is still so far away when the characters are together!
The Jungle Book for the Genesis is a very underrated game...it's not as good as Aladdin, but it's better than the Lion King.
The Lion King was good just hard af
@@adamfn7086 It was but I rank Aladdin first, the Jungle Book second, and the Lion King third, in terms of my preference for playing.

Epic Mickey was on the Wii U if anyone has played it. Was a 3d painting adventure, real addicting. I really hope it comes to the switch, yes plz!
You mean Epic Mickey 2
Gonna buy this to play with my 5 year old. Solid review RGT

I still say we need more games where Goofy is the main star, but atleast he's playable in this one
This is the 2013 Mickey cartoon art style. Easily the best Mickey cartoons out there
It sucks.
@Synathidy Nah, it's hilarious
@@Synathidy I like them!
so this is Disney's version of rayman origins.
like we now have disney mario kart, disney animal crossing etc
I really couldn't help but chuckle a bit upon seeing Mickey nervously looking at you playing on the thumbnail 😆
I just bought this game, and I do enjoy it, but after playing it for a while, I can't decide if I really should still keep it. It feels almost like a game for renting and not for keeping. What do you think?
I thought about buying it. It's not cheap

Priced should be $29.99 to start with some 50% off sales soon after. My opinion.
Mickey Mania for the Sega CD was great. Not sure why that hasn't had a revival.
You should check out some of the current Mickey Mouse shorts. They are very charming, well animated, and acrually pretty funny.

It's definitely time for another Rayman!!!
Sega Genesis was my absolute favorite!! Aladdin was so amazing and I had both, always preferred the Sega version
Personally i would prefer an epic Mickey remake but this is a chill game nothing too crazy
World of Illusion is a masterpiece on the Genesis.
