I work in a museum and recently discovered that reading cursive/calligraphy is a skill. A 22 year old coworker asked me to read a letter from the collection to him. Guess I should add that to the ol' resume!! (I felt ancient, lol.)

They no longer teach cursive in schools, so young people can’t read it. A sad disservice to our young people

So faux calligraphy as opposed to calligraphy?
Becca was showing brush calligraphy! It uses the same strokes as pointed pen calligraphy. Faux calligraphy even uses the same basic strokes!
