I love watercolor and pen, which you do a lot of, so I love that. But I recently purchased a set of paint pens and am trying them out to see if this medium is worth investing in a really nice set. So maybe a few more of those?

I recently gifted a sketchbook to my girlfriend and she doesn't think her drawings are works of art but i tell her its fun doodles and not every artist or work of art started out a masterpiece. A sketchbook is for practice and fun. Her art is so cute and she likes to add poems or phrases alongside her art. She enjoys it even though sometimes she has a hard time with perfectionalism. Hi Paula, I came across your amazing videos recently and wanted to let you know how much they have inspired and helped me. My beloved husband passed away 18 months ago and I’m lost without him. I enjoy lots of crafts but have not found any interest or satisfaction recently. After watching several of your videos I bought 2 sketchbooks, a small watercolour set, acrylic paint pens and fine liners. I have found it SO relaxing and therapeutic to watch your videos and then try out my own ideas for sketch pages. Thank you and please keep inspiring us.

So much fun! Great inspiration for just creating as a daily practice. I love the idea of how you put your doodles in a mockup! It really makes you look at your art from a different perspective! Thank you. 💜
I had not sketched for more than 2 weeks, your video actually motivated me to open my sketchbook. I really like the first idea you made with the leaves, so I did something similar but with one of my own pictures as reference and a sepia liner. The result isn't amazing but not terrible either, and it was quite fun ! At least I did something. I also like to sketch with a ballpoint pen, this type of pen can give different opacity depending on the pressure you apply so it gives a different look. My favourite pen for sketching is a cheap Bic pen with blue ink, the most basic pen you find in every store in France.
Paula, I am loving this series! I doodled a lot throughout my school years, at times to avoid boredom in classes! I am now in my 60s and looking at your videos reminds me of how my doodling got me through so much of school! It actually helped me maintain a straight A grade level all through college! 😂 I have to start again and incorporate it into my watercoloring and card making! Thank you for sharing your amazing talent! ❤
I really liked the one with the lines that you said was ugly. It reminded of of braiding hair! Thank you for all of your inspiration. I loved the teapots!

I would totally hang your doodles on my wall they look fantastic but the whole time I was thinking about what color schemes and treatments would bring their beauty into my world:).
Love this! So quick, so creative. Your teapot page reminded me of a Kaffe Fassett needlepoint design of blue and white pots. I am on a roll at the moment with negative watercolour painting and t's great having lots of ideas for repetitive motifs for this.
It's really fit for me, I don't like using anything else aside from a 0.5 pen and a 0.7 pen and my acrytic markers. This really matches my likings, and all I drew were weird lines that might signify coral reefs, my feeling that day, or simply nothing. The fourth idea would be sooo helpful to me so that I can continue my lines. I don't have much options, but when I could, I would also try adding a blue line between those black lines.

This is so satisfying to watch ❤ Definitely going to try all the ideas., especially the leaves and trees ones. I have never drawn directly with a pen, maybe this is a sign to give it a try..
I love all of your ideas Paula! Nothing makes me happier than watching another artist doodle in their sketchbook. I think I’m working in four sketchbooks right now. 😂 I’m addicted!
Well, Paula, I haven't tried art since high school and I'm old, but I have to make my channel work. RUclips wants original art for sleep videos and I can not afford an artist so I have to try myself. My second one was better than the first, but I see mistakes. So I am moving onto watercolor paints for my sketchbook to make art faster than colored pencils. Maybe I can add ink and colored pencil to the dried watercolor paint. Oh well, It's an experiment. Thanks Paula, I never would have even tried without your videos. You inspire me.😻💖
Sometimes sketchbooks are daunting. I buy them and leave them for a while and if i get i spiration i use it . Maybe being les perfectionistic will make it easier to create and doodling is helping me a lot with that. I love the leaves btw i must try that to.
Thank you so much for doing this video. I do so much of this type of line art/zentangle art because it’s so therapeutic. I appreciate the inspiration! 💜💜
I love these! I find them more inspiring than just about all other videos. You have amazing ideas that I would never think of on my own. More, please!😊❤

I took an art class when I was 4. After the first class I refused to go back because he was trying to teach me how to draw circles, and I already knew how to. Now I am medically retired, and learning how to draw 😮. Loving it! You offer such inspiration!

At first I Thought you literally had every picture you drew on your wall. 😂 you’d soon run out. Thank you for using just a pen. So many sketchbook ideas start with paint and your tutorials are just what I’ve been looking for.
I love the blown up mockups. It really changes the look of the art. Every time it looks nice on paper, then brilliant on mockup :D Also, re your advice about keeping a notebook, I'd even add keeping a cheap-ish notebook! I've started practicing recently, and for painting I needed some thicker notebooks which were more expensive and I hesitate a lot more to use them, while my cheap notebook is filling in nicely with sketching exercices. I love the last two pages with doodles and the curved line ones :D

This is so satisfying to watch ❤ Definitely going to try all the ideas., especially the leaves and trees ones. I have never drawn directly with a pen, maybe this is a sign to give it a try..
I’m sure you’ll rock it! You are very talented! ☺️
@@bycreativepaula You're too kind 😍😊
Fabulous thank you. You are so right that you don't need lots of supplies to make beautiful art.
Absolutely!! ❤️
Thank you Paula! You never disappoint.
Thank you so much! 🥰
I love all of your ideas Paula! Nothing makes me happier than watching another artist doodle in their sketchbook. I think I’m working in four sketchbooks right now. 😂 I’m addicted!
It is very addictive! Thank you so much friend! ❤️
I love your designs and doodles! I’m trying to work up the nerve to try sketching and watercolor!!
You can do it!! If there’s anything in particular I can help with let me know! Watercolor ideas video is coming soon!
You inspire me.😻💖
Hey!! Thank you so much! All we can do is try to make each video a little better than the latest and learn and grow ❤️
As someone who is new to drawing I found this very useful and helpful 😊 thanks so much for sharing
Glad it was helpful! ❤️ thank you!
Sometimes sketchbooks are daunting. I buy them and leave them for a while and if i get i spiration i use it . Maybe being les perfectionistic will make it easier to create and doodling is helping me a lot with that. I love the leaves btw i must try that to.
Yessss! At least use one of the ones you have to just try stuff! Give it a name and go for it! It can be your fearless and fun sketchbook!!!
Thanks for these exercises ❤ I’ve been looking for some pen drawings that are less intimidating and good for practice. Love them❤
I’m so happy you like them! ☺️
This is very good stuff Paula…Thank you! I’m very inspired 😁
So glad! ❤️ thank you!

I enjoyed every page. Thank you for the ideas!
I took an art class when I was 4. After the first class I refused to go back because he was trying to teach me how to draw circles, and I already knew how to. Now I am medically retired, and learning how to draw 😮. Loving it! You offer such inspiration!
Thanks for sharing!! And thank you so much! ❤️
This is gorgeous. Love these ideas.

I have that mushroom tea pot and the jars to match it😂 oh boy
Hahah really? Oh wow what a coincidence!
These are so fun ❤ thanks for sharing my favorite are the teapots I’m amazed that you created everything with just one pen. Verycool😊
Thank you so much! 😊
Thank you for this video! I absolutely love your doodling-inspirations! It was a lot of fun to see - and I will definetly give it a try! Thank you!
Have fun! ❤️
These are great! Really love the teapots!! ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
At first I Thought you literally had every picture you drew on your wall. 😂 you’d soon run out. Thank you for using just a pen. So many sketchbook ideas start with paint and your tutorials are just what I’ve been looking for.
I’m so happy you liked the idea of keeping it simple! ❤️
I love the blown up mockups. It really changes the look of the art. Every time it looks nice on paper, then brilliant on mockup :D
Also, re your advice about keeping a notebook, I'd even add keeping a cheap-ish notebook!
I've started practicing recently, and for painting I needed some thicker notebooks which were more expensive and I hesitate a lot more to use them, while my cheap notebook is filling in nicely with sketching exercices.
I love the last two pages with doodles and the curved line ones :D
Totally agree! Whatever paper you have actually works! I believe in having a creative practice for selfish reasons; so really the materials can be any, depending on what that reason is!
Thank you so much! ❤️
These are such fantastic ideas paula, might have to give these a try ☺☺
Thank you for the ideas and therapy 😊
You are so welcome! ❤️
This is such a relaxing activity. Thank you so much for doing this exercise. Can you do more of these one-pen sketches?
Thank you so much I’m happy you liked them!
Yes I certainly will, but full transparency I have watercolor ideas and then paint marker ideas coming first ☺️
I love the way you filled out the lines for the second plant drawing
Thank you! It was nice to do!
❤love them all! ❤
Thank you so much!
Your advice is great and all your artworks are nice 👍 simple but good works of art 😊 thank you for sharing your talent ❤️
My pleasure 😊 thank you! ❤️
Oh my goodness yesssss 😮 to all of it!! But the tea pots … eeeeeek 🤯 just so precious!! I really needed that inspiration today thank you! ❤
Thank you for watching! ❤️
@@bycreativepaula I always will! My daughter changed my profile pic lol but I’m still the same person. I have fibromyalgia and some other chronic pain issues that keep me home in bed a lot so my sketch book is my life line. It’s been such a joy having you to watch and follow! 💗
