Heyyy! Even though people talk mad smack about Kicker, that company helped me get into Car audio. My first Kicker subwoofer was the 12" CVR with the oval dustcap and basketball textured grey cone in that huge-ass dual ported obcon enclosure. I also ran 4 15" 2008 model CVRs in a 12 cubic foot box with 178 sq inches of port tuned to 37Hz and it won me some trophies. I really wish I could get a hold of a grey coned Solo X 18" sub, because that sub was the first I ever heard that made my head spin and my entire body vibrate to the beat. Thanks to the owner of the ride in this video, thanks to Kicker, and thanks to you Jacob, You are definitely the best uploader for this kind of awesome content! Watt for watt don't sleep on kicker L series subs . Obviously they don't make crazy power handling subs but the power the subs do handle is pretty nice especially on their efficiency.
Really wish kicker would make a comeback to greatness. I've owned a bunch. Couple 3 XS 100s, a few zr 240's, a few zr 360's, The old round solobaric's. When the squares first came out my dude had 2 of the 15's each on a zr 360 in an xtreme s10. Loudest thing I'd ever heard with 2 subs for a long time.
Cool video, don't see a lot of them in higher power systems . I could be wrong, but I think the solos don't have a huge Xmax or xmech which limits the huge flex that people normally see in your vids. They have a high spl due to the sound itself, not as much of a windmaker as a high roll round sub with a long coil. I think it has a higher bl, but I am not sure . I don't even want to act like I know for sure it's just what I think lol.
This reminds me that I need to expand my imagination. In a truck this small, I would never have thought about doing a wall until seeing it. This is pretty nice.
Someone should buyout kicker lol and bring them back into quality. Revamp the solo x and make it do the rated rms cause there x series never handles rated power plus liked the easy re one :
Clint Hernandez yea I wouldn’t overpay for 1000 rms either. But to each its on. I’ve had the L7 15’s before in a Pro Bass box. Lets just say I didn’t pay nearly what they costed though. Descent subs, especially for looks, people love em

I've blown a bunch of L7's back in the day from lack of battery power. I use to think it was because my amp was too powerful

Like the L7's and would like to own two 18's someday just for fun BUT not a fan of kicker overall sadly they mostly have lack luster products.
no 18" L7s were made. there were 18" Comps made in the 90s, 18" CVRs until 2003 and 18" Solo Xs from 2003 to 2011

RWL2012 hope their used then. I’ve had a few but I’ve never spent big money on them, and refuse to overpay for 750rms
12's are 750 rms and the 15's are 1000 rms, according to the description these are 15's

If you can find a good deal on them used, i say go for it. Other than that, no way i would give Kicker what they asking for them.
