I tried this today and wasn't able to pummel my leg on the inside, in unsettled my opponent a lot but he kept the hooks. Every other part of the process worked like a charm when I drilled it but the leg pummelling I need practice on.
huge props coach I've been trying to develop and search other peoples strategies for dealing with butterfly guard for years and this is one of the best I've seen. excellent very impressed. i don't want u to mistake and think I'm spamming, i swear I'm not. id be honored if you accepted me sending you some of my shirts. if you want a few find the FB page by the same name and message me where to send them. either way watching all your stuff and keep it up I'm studying many top guys and want to be brilliantly top level technical so very appreciated
let me add , the main way I've dealt with it so far is to grab a neck crank when the time is right and drag the opponent forward pulling thier face down towards the matt all the way until a front head lock type position then going to other stuff from there
I'm pretty sure Gordon Ryan must have seen and studied this four years ago. His whole "floating pass" style rests on leg pummelling to shin-on-shin, then inside to the knee cut or outside for the smash. (He pushes off to get little higher) What do you say, professor Z?
thanks guys I will keep them coming!
Love it! I’m a white belt, and the blue & purple belts I train with have some super sticky butterfly hooks. Can’t wait to try this!
Firas, Thanks so much for sharing this, I'm loving the technique videos. I can't wait to practice them in class. please keep them coming
Firas is truly i find the most easy to understand tutorials
Wow, Firas Zahabi. Your videos are so good and the techniques you teach are really simple and super effective. Thank you for your great teachings.
Thank you professor Firas for this video. I’m late to the party but this will help me today.

It seems like you could hit a really easy arm triangle after the back kick, if they weren't staying really tight.
+JudoMateo first thing i thought of :D
great vid though, keep uploading!
great video, thx again!
Could You catch an armbar after you transition from side or do you believe it would become a scramble going for it
Thanks again!
Would you advise this approach in the gi? Or is there just two much gi drag?
do the same rules apply if the guy has an overhook and a underhook?
Nice!

But then I get hit with Gordon Ryan shoulder lock sweep
What I took home from this video is as soon as you get the chance kick 'em in the dick and they'll let go. I don't know ju jitsu
