    I have watched a lot of instructional BJJ videos but I think you are a genius. I particulary like how you bind techniques into a sequance based on typical opponent reaction. I find your videos very helpful.

    hey Firas I've noticed that Ryan Hall's variation of this had him putting his knee sideways on the floor instead of leaving it on the hip is there any advantage out disadvantage to each one?

    I did a hip numb sweep from closer gard and my trainer counter it with a arm in triangle choke! I was stoked 😯

    I like the hip bump to triangle combination, that's a good chain, but would it be possible on the pendulum sweep for the opponent to post his arm to base? Since you're controlling his head not his arm? (especially since he already based the hip bump sweep leading into this attack)

    • @CoachZahabi
      @CoachZahabi  10 лет назад +7

      Yes that can happen. If he uses his arm to base simply armbar your opponent. Be sure to transition your arm in front of his throat if you are going for armbar. Hope that helps.

    Hey Firas, I've been having a tonne of success with this technique and it's now my favourite triangle set-up from closed guard. Just wondering if you have more attacks and sweeps that come off of the hip bump from the head wrap?

    • @CoachZahabi
      @CoachZahabi  9 лет назад +2

      +7AlbertG Glad to hear it and Yes I do, bean meaning to show it..

    • @7AlbertG
      @7AlbertG 8 лет назад

      Hey Firas....learnt a few more tricks off of this but would still appreciate if you could show some combination techniques off the hip bump with the neck wrapped?

    Hi Firas. I'm a little late on this video, but it just came up in my feed. I love this technique but is it possible to actually use this variation of the hip bump to sweep your opponent as well as having the option to transition into the triangle? How do you combat the posted hand? Thanks!

  • @theticoboy
    @theticoboy 9 лет назад

    Professor Firas, do you have any advice on how to finish the triangle against a heavier stronger opponent? I have hit this combo multiple times just as you taught in your video. However, I have a hard time when they stack and turn me. I have long legs but am quite skinny. Thank you.

    Great technique, thank you for sharing! Will try next time I train. One question though: why bring the first leg around the neck?

    • @simonyadig
      @simonyadig 7 лет назад

      I believe the reason for putting the first leg around the neck is it makes it easier to the other one over then.

    Oy Firas, tried this move a bit today. This wrestler kid I was going with would hug my hips (ala hug pass) and prevent me from getting fully to his side. Any tips?

    Why didn’t you put the lower leg across his head first, instead of the upper one?

      The upper one break the posture with weight
