I'm going to say this as someone who uses both equally, i think gamepass is the better deal since it's more geared towards newer triple aaa releases.
Being blunt...
I can see FH5 going to PS5.
I can see FH5 going to PS5 ***next week*** during Gamescom.
But IMO, FH5 should ***NOT*** go to PS5 until FH6 is released. And it definitely should not play better on PS.
As it is, MS needs an answer to the question...
Why should I buy an XBox? Why should I subscribe to GamePass?
And while the value of exclusives is declining due to rising costs, a decliningbl install base, etc it is not yet the time to abandon exclusivity entirely, especially for major tentpole titles.
If exclusives aren't going to be the hook which attracts gamers to XBox - what is?
The only possible justification for this move would have to be another major acquisition of some sort. And I don't see that happening

What announcement could MS be planning that involves FH5?
Either FH5 is getting a third DLC or its going to PS.

Also since the new ps plus is combined with ps now of course sony isn't going to put day one triple aaa stuff on extra and premium, if anything, it's the ponies who wants it like xbox gamepass, but I'm not a pony or a xbot, as a person who uses both.
When it comes to Consumer Products I don't care what MAY happen. I only care about what IS happening.

I don't believe Sony made 29 bill, numbers ain't adding up
Ok, lets not be silly here.
Their games and network services accounted for 28 billion of Sony's total revenue. There is nothing confusing about that nor is it anything out of the ordinary. 6 billion of that was net profit/income. That's a good chunk ahead of what the PS4 did in the same time frame, but they aren't seeing the uptick in Software sales they were expecting though.
In the traditional console lifespan, this is the time that they are expecting big gains in profitability and sales but the reverse is happening for the most important aspect. Next year is traditionally the most profitable year for a Console, followed by steady declines as the next gen starts ramping up.
Right now they are double what the PS4 was doing money making wise, but they are seeing a decline in console sales which usually doesn't happen until the sixth year.
You remember that quote from Spencer about they can either gouge the customer or find more ways to make money. This could be the start of that saying being proven right.

@vaguedreams take Spiderman 2 for instance. 315 million dollar budget and 7.2 million copies sold .
@@slimreaper4937 They don't break it down like that but 14 billion of the revenue generated from Software sales, the vast majority of it was digital and microtransactions.
Go on and look it up yourself if you want the years but as far as the profitability, it's not only Sony Playstation Studios software and profits.
@@slimreaper4937 So? Spiderman wasn't the only software sold. Every Single game sold on Playstation (not just first party) is included in the revenue.
The purpose of Spiderman was to sell Playstation consoles, not make a lot of money. Obviously they want to do both, but so long as they are not losing money and console sales are trending up they are good.

What's crazy to me, is this trend that ponies are still bragging in August 2024, about the "great" exclusives on Playstation...what exclusives??!! Maybe Helldivers 2...wait...ponies didn't buy that shit...wtf exclusives are these ponies even talking about in 2024??!!
