I really wish she had way more screen time than she did. She had so much to offer.
Couldn’t agree more!
Just like Saffron, you gotta use only on certain dishes, otherwise you'd get board of it.
@@solidmoon8266 Bored*
@okallup8012 Yep, but also "bored with", not "bored of".😊
It's a shame that she didn't get more and bigger roles after Suit.
"Well, if you have to ask." 😂
The look up and down eye flick😂
LOL, I really thought at first she said "Well, you have the ass"
thats when harvey knew he picked the right one :)
@@MikelosMthat’s what I thought she said
AWESOME
Gretchen was a breath of fresh air to the show. She really deserved more screentime. Killed almost every scene and made you laugh.
Umm hmmm
just needs to host an above ground pool party.
@@heedrix I'd be down haha. But she'd def be giving people the side eye haha
She killed it 😂😂😂
She's awesome
She was the only way to follow up Donna. Completely different energy yet the same kick ass skill set.
Donna was a bit of a Mary Sue. I found her quite wearing after a while.
@@user-ym1pf4lz3h She was great until they started pushing their romantic relationship and explain things. They either had to make it quick and natural or not do it at all.
Agree I liked Donna a lot more before all that @@adapienkowska2605
I agree, and for me it was also a bit too much of the “sheep in wolf’s” clothing thing any time she would get into the slightest grey area.
For a great white shark of legal secretaries to crumble like blue cheese at the drop of a hat, was grating.
She bit her tongue when a client was badmouthing her, so her boss wouldn’t lose his deal. Then stands up for herself with her boss and pokes fun at him; reminding him of his humanity. I’d have given her a 15% raise on the spot: she is humble, loyal, talented and fearless with her “superiors”! She earned every penny with a large bonus of respect on top of it.
You’d have to learn how to hire people like her first
could’nt agree with you more‼️‼️🥂
🪖
She's the type of secretaries we used to have in our department - experienced and knew how to get the job done. But now, one got a better job, another retired, and the third wants to retire and isn't happy with how the department has become. Any temp we've had since hasn't been nearly as great. Gotta love people who work like this.
And then there's the firm lays off all the good people for the young, less experienced and cheaper pay rolls. Leaving Career partners scrambling to get things done. Top that off with the firm that also wipes out the WP (IYKUK) dept. too. Good times!
Well you can't expect people to become great at what they do on day one. You need to keep the good people happy AND help the inexperienced to grow into their role. It seems your department sucks at both.
Companies nowadays just want golden geese employees without doing or investing much into them. This seems especially true for lesser valued "lower" staff like secretaries (while of course the expectations are high). Then they complain about good and experienced people leaving and not immediately finding a younger, possibly cheaper replacement on the same level.
Well, there's your problem, you're hiring temps. Now don't get me wrong, temps are great, wonderful, fantastic, but only at what they are for, short term fill to make sure paperwork gets done. But they don't know the business, so they can't be like this. You gotta hiring and train people.
lmao what a boomer take
Temps don’t have any incentive to be great. Hire permanent people with a reason to stick around. I must admit personality matters, it’s not just training. An independent person with a brain is invaluable.
Harvey did right by hiring Gretchen. Who knows if Abigail would have been loyal when she found out about Mike, or just tried to save herself.
Hot ones are usually snakes 🐍
Oh, she'd probably throw the whole company under the bus. I'm in certain law firm and then go and talk show seeing how she found out that Mike was a fraud
I actually just realized that too. Also you can tell she was just a little too good and confident in herself; Harvey read that right away (but hid his hand so that she wouldn't see). He then realized he couldn't risk interviewing and hiring the other candidates (aside from GRetchen) cause then he'd risk the usual Boss/Good looking Secretary conflict (and not many folks can be disciplined like DOnna to keep them both in line) so he grabbed Gretchen, tested her confidence level and then hired her.
Laverne is unstoppable no matter what career she goes into
Laveeeeeerne Rooobeerrrts!!! (punch scream)
Laverneagain.
That’s right, that is Laverne!!!!
From Scrubs to Suits
@@CharlieZukoShe was even the "Pink Ranger"
Laverne went from Scrubs to Suits!
"well, if you had to ask..."🤣😂🤣😂
That quick interview and hire is just what should be 👍🏾✅
"I prefer my men manly"
Gretchen is honesty personified. One of the best things about Suits!
Gretchen is a LEGEND!
She reminds me of my mom. She is still a secretary at 67 years old (she is retired. She just grew bored at home lol) and all the young lawyers kill themselves trying to get her to be their secretary.
The lady in the video is not 67.
@@Michelle-pn9xt that episode aired in July 2015, must have been filmed a few months earlier. Aloma Wright was born, according to IMDb, 10/03/1950. Therefore, she was approx 65 years old there.
So yes, she was 65, not 67. But, still, @sabrinarosario6499 did not say that Gretchen was her mother, or exactly like her, but that she reminded her of her mom, did not she?
😊 your support staff will either help you make it or break you.
"Well, if you have to ask. . . "
Get that man to a burn unit.
🤣🤣🤣
Love how they gave her such great lines and she brought her confident air of sassy to the series. She’s no Donna but Gretchen stands all on her own with her life experience and wide array of networkings!
Man, the writers were on a roll with these characters
You're right, the only character I didn't like in the show was Mike's ex best friend Trevor.
At least a half dozen times I’d wanted to slap Harvey for not kicking Mike to the curb as Mike was a huge, ungrateful pain.
Then it dawned on me, Harvey’s loyalty, even to a fault was his core principle.
Fantastic character development, was what made this series sing.
Everybody needs a Gretchen in their life
Damn right. World would be a better place if we all had a Gretchen in our lives.
The worst part about Gretchen was she wasn't around from the start.
Gretchen was a gem
I just loved that interaction.
Aloma Wright is always badass in no matter what she plays.
Loved her on Scrubs, loved her on Suits. Fabulous.
Just as good at law firms as she was at a hospital.
Aww Laverne
or standing up to a Power Ranger villain
Did anybody notice the lady next to Gretchen? Like it's very subtle, but you can see the surprise and blinking when she wasn't chosen. Great acting from a minor role.
Gretchen is the kind of person you need. She was born for this. She few up in the seen but not heard era. She is a person who most rich and snuddy people overlook. They see her as the hired help/ maid but don’t know she is a force to be reckoned with. People will always underestimate her. And their lies her super hero strengths. With her age, most people will never have given her a chance. I’m sure she knows that. So her taking a chance anyways shows her willingness. And hiring her will give her the opportunity to show her gratitude and loyalty. She has been bullied all her life. She has developed a thick skin. She will not just back down, she will just find another way around you. And….. you will never see her coming! You replace a beast with another kind of beast. Go get em Gretchen!!!!
Man oh MAN Gretchen is just the dream backup Girl one can have in this very competitive and tight Prof game ~ she changed the entire ballgame in Suits with her style, het firm presence and the glint in her eye, knowing full well she is in charge and absolutely brilliant at it…
Her and Donna are magnificent powerhouses and endless entertainment in this series
SUPER brilliant Gretchen, well done‼️‼️🥂
👊🔥
🪖
beautifully described and defended : she IS a true SUPERHERO our Gretchen is
When she is behind you, you become a winner
If she is against you, in any Professional setup, you can quite simply forget about it ~ you will NOT make the grade whatsoéver!
She gives the entire show some extraordinary gravitas, herself and Donna…!
Excellent character
Super brilliant‼️🥂💫
🪖
I LOVED her character
Like Lily Tomlin on The West Wing, Gretchen just kills. And I love that grin on his face despite himself.
I LOVE Gretchen! Her competition looked like high priced escorts
To be fair, that's just the way career as secretary is, isn't it. I mean look at Donna.
More the fact Harvey saw them as potential distractions with no uniqueness. Remember, this is how he interviewed Mike, he requested Donna send him someone who was different from the other suits waiting to be interviewed
I think we all love Donna but Gretchen is the best
Donna was great in seasons 1-6 but then she got annoying
@@kaylamura5378
So true she's the grapevine. Every gossip goes through her lips . She leaves no stone unturned and was too much into Harvey things got messy when she slept with him. She got jealous when he dated his therapist he later would dump because of Donna.
@@Chodeseseyes exactly and she never knew how to mind her own damn business
@@kaylamura5378
Yess, I just finish binging the series and while I liked her, she was just too imposing. It became annoying. And the whole “I’m Donna” spiel got weary after a while.
Classic Gretchen W
Gretchen would have made a great spinoff
She was awesome, and a breath of fresh air all the time
haha gretchen has a small role but damn she nailed it.
lavern sure does get around - and brings that A-level sass wherever she goes
All of them remind him of Donna, except for Gretchen. God bless her soul
😂😂😂😂 if someone is going to make fun of me it better be like this when I too can laugh at myself with you lol
I love this Lady- 😂
Each of these women had something much, much more in mind than just professional duties under the boss's supervision.😅
She put Harvey in his place, not calling him manly 😂
My respect for Harvey just increased
Oh, yeah. She's a keeper. Great choice 👍
That punch line.
Gretchen was so great, her personality and experience really added to the characters.
No matter how many times I watch this, I love it!
Suits...I sincerely miss you 😢
Glad to see La-Vern getting back on her feet after dying in Scrubs!
She had me at "I prefer my men, MANLY'.
I loved her she was just brilliant
One of my FAV actresses!!!!!!!!
Love this actress!!!
Gretchen was the lady in friends who wouldn’t give Ross a refund for the ‘pivot’ couch 😅
I was a corporate legal secretary she is spot on
I love her so much!!!
Cheers!👍🏽
This show was the bomb!!!
Love it!
Gretchen was the real MVP
Perfect

I love Shirley ❤️ 😍 💖
lavern- again lol loved this woman

That first interviewee Abigail was so correct...she was the last😅

Specter took the Costanza approach when hiring a secretary. Gotta respect that.
THIS IS THE BEST SHOW IN THE UNIVERSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like her since scrubs
Laverne and Lavernagain
Laverne again.....in every universe (and TV show) she kicks ass!!
Suits and The Good Wife 🔥🔥🔥
She was Gold!
Well written...
When you're so good at what you do, your boss doesn't even want to interview you.
Hehehe I love her
''I prefer my men manly''
WAY TO GO
she was a great character
Suits added a few new characters over the years, she was the best
She should have said "i'm the Darryl Green of legal secretaries!". Sanders never had to chase down Dorsett, nor Dickerson....or Rice, for whatever matter.
Best secretary
Uff. That was brutal
I miss that show❤
I wish I had a strong older black lady to have conversations with on a daily basis. Would make my life so much better.
Gretch for the win!
If you have to ask 🙂
Damn she put him in his place!! Love her
If you have to ask got him. She was the best
He didn't even let her sit.
😮 loved her
If you had to ask 😂😂😂😂
Fine ! I'm watching again
I love Gretchen ❤😂
Gretchen was one of my favorites.
Laverne!
I like her!!
Harvey gets bored easily so he always picks the one that seems a bit intriguing 😂
They should do a mini series where they all have to like get together and use their lawyer skills to solve a crisis
This is how shade suppose done. Young girls take notes
LOL wat a clip title
